The System In My Head
Motivate a woman with words

"I like what I like!" Antonio did not budge when Beluga suggested that he order a cappuccino next time as the three walked the noisy and crowded streets of Union Square.

Ben felt it was awesome. 'I can respect that Antonio will not change who he is to fit in. That's how a b—' man should have cut off his mind as he slapped a straw from Antonio's hand. "Can you not lick it?!?I'm not gonna puke!"

"How can I get whipped cream at the top of the lid, Ben?!? That's what straws are for!" shouted Antonio.

"Not for that!" All of Ben's respect vanished, buried under a heap of hatred for Antonio's behavior.

Beluga defuses the situation. "I think Ben knows how to get a date. In that case, you did a good job, Antonio."

Antonio smiled proudly. He also held another straw in his mouth out of nowhere, sipping the last drop of liquid at the bottom of the cup.

Ben frowned in annoyance. "Sad. Forgetit. I'll try to insta-date." Ben looks for the women around him. There was one sitting on the concrete staircase listening to the music, so he approached her.

Beluga and Antonio watched from a distance. The woman responded well to Ben's opener. A few minutes later, he pointed it at Starbucks and he followed it there. Beluga and Antonio were both silent. They didn't expect Ben to make it on his first try. This is the difference between 0 and 7 charisma. They followed Ben to Starbucks and observed his development.

Ben waited in line with the woman and ordered two drinks for them. When Beluga and Antonio saw this, they shook their heads. Ben sat down with the woman and tried to have a conversation. However, his attitude changed; he became cold and distant. 5 minutes later, he parted and left. Filled with confusion, Ben approaches his friends and asks if they know the problem.

"It's simple" replied Beluga. "You bought him a drink."

Ben squinted his eyes. "What's the problem? It's just coffee."

Beluga. "That's how it seems to you, in your logical brain. Do you know what he looks like in your eyes?"

Ben fell silent.

"It looks like you bought him a drink so he'll spend time with you. It lowers your grades, making you look weak. It seems silly, but this is how many women in Western countries see men buying them drinks. As a general rule, buying a woman a drink is a great way to turn yourself into a sponsor of her drink. It was a man she had no respect for who came home alone at the end of the night. Don't be that guy."

Ben looked at his drink, thinking.

Beluga added, "It varies by culture. In countries with higher feminism, most women view men who buy them something as a weakness. She's not your wife. Why should you buy something for him? What's more, feminist women are proud to pay for them. So instead of making them complain about you being patronizing, let them pay..."

He remembered something else. “Actually, in more patriarchal countries like Slavia and some Latin American countries, it could be the opposite. Many women there expect men to take over, including finances. So if you can't pay for a drink, you come.As a bankrupt loser. There's another exception, but I'm off topic..."

Ben understood the point. He's never heard of that before. In movies and TV, it is common to see men offering to buy drinks for women. A lot of the romance on screen starts like that. Now, Ben understands that TV is not the best place to get advice. Many of the things he learned in the past were counter-intuitive, but verified their truth through his experience. At least, Beluga has not misdirected it so far.

Ben looked around to find a new target and approached. The next few did not go well. Either the women aren't interested or they're too busy to have coffee with him, but Ben still does. He saw a girl standing outside the clothing store, looking through the glass screen. Ben opened.

A few minutes later, the two of them were inside Starbucks picking up coffee. This time, Ben simply ordered for himself and let the girl pay for her own drink. He did not mind at all and acted as usual. That's when Ben understood that Beluga was right. They both sit down and Ben receives a pleasant surprise.

'Why can't I be real gold?' Ben wanted to curse but cheered when he saw his point.

'There are no regrets! Not yet! Ck.´.' The system can speak all the nonsense it wants as long as it keeps giving it points. That puts him at 750! Ben's mood improves, but when he refocuses on the girl, he realizes that she still has a problem.

Ben is starting to be good at opening up and building attraction now, but what should he say when dating? The vibration feels different. When the previous girl left after just a few minutes, it wasn't just because Ben bought coffee. Another reason is that his attempts at conversation did not work. She kept making jokes and teasing him to build up the attraction, but something went wrong.

As the girl sipped her coffee, waiting for Ben to say something, Ben clenched his jaw. 'forgetit. Don't complicate matters too much. Your charisma is 7. Use your charm and motivational speech to win her heart.' Ben placed his hands on his knees in a serious posture.

The girl stared with anticipation. Ben's body language and eye contact captivated him. It seemed like he had something interesting to say and he was very curious as to what it was. 'Is he going to ask about my hobby? My goal for the future? My hopes and dreams?'

Ben looked into his eyes deeply. Channeling all his charisma and speaking ability, he motivates him with his words. "Concerning**** with me! Do it!"

...

As the girl walked out, at the nearby table, Beluga and Antonio froze with palms.
