Ben's breathing becomes shorter as the nerves take control.
It was the same as last time.with one exception—mata Ben was calm.
'Breathing deeply, ' he reminded himself. He took a slow breath and exhaled as everyone waited for him to begin. The other disciples stared, some whispering amongst themselves, some shaking their heads.
"Can he really do it? We'd better get past him."
"This child will fool himself again..."
"Speaking in public is not for everyone. People need to know their weaknesses."
Even the professor frowned, wondering if he should give Ben a reason not to embarrass himself.
Miyuki clenched her fists.
Zachary looked at his worries and frowned. 'This bitch is going on a date with me and she's still worried about other men? As soon as I take her to my bed, I will teach her some manners!' He bowed to her. "Miyuki, I think we will choose Italy...Do you like Italy?"
Miyuki did not answer.
Ben heard all the whispers. He felt all the pessimistic looks.
He ignored everything. All he focused on was calming his body. Although it is packed with two years of learning experience, it does not mean he gained two years of practical experience.
Your body needs time to adjust to the pressure. Even veteran speakers get nervous sometimes. Despite his nervous mess, Ben did not panic. He expects this and knows how to handle it.
Each breath he took made him a little more relaxed. With trembling hands, he gulped down water while walking a few steps. In his head, he discussed his speech. 'You memorize the material. There is no reason to be nervous. You got this!' He gave himself a confident affirmation.
After putting down the water, Ben clenched and released his arm muscles over and over again, making the muscles tired so that it stopped trembling. He closed his eyes and visualized a successful speech. These are all techniques Ben learned to overcome nervousness.
From the point of view of the audience, Ben took a long time.
Zachary leaned over to the professor and said, "Professor, we have to sit him down. He won't be able to do it."
The professor furrowed his brows as he watched Ben. He pays attention to the technique Ben uses, but trying to calm down and succeed are two different things. Giving him more time would not be fair to others. 'Should I tell him to sit down?'
Ben was still in front of the class with his eyes closed, taking a deep breath.
The murmurs of the students became more intense.
Hearing this, the professor sighed. His responsibility is to all his students. Ben doesn't have time. The professor leaned forward at his desk and looked at Ben with apologetic eyes. He opened his mouth to ask Ben to come down.
Just then, Ben opened his eyes!
As an expert in his field, the professor recognized the difference in those eyes - they were calm now!
Ben is not nervous anymore! Technique worked!
Ben showed a calm and confident smile. 'Snowing.' His gaze surrounded the room, directing eye contact to everyone present. After he saw everyone, the room was silent. No one whispered anymore.
There was something unbearable in Ben's eyes and body language. It caught everyone's attention, stopping any thoughts they thought. They want to know what he will do next.
When the stage was ready, Ben's voice appeared. With a stern rhythm, he said, "I want to ask you..."
The crowd depends on his words.
"And that...What's in your life's blueprint?"
The crowd thought.
Ben continued, "This is the most important, and crucial period of your life. For what you do now, and what you decide now at this age will probably determine in which direction your life will go...
And the question is .. do you have the right, solid, healthy blueprint.
And I would like to suggest .. some of the things that should be in the blueprint of your life ... "
As Ben spoke, his volume increased and his tone became stronger. He gestured with his hand for emphasis.
deep Trust in Your own dignity, Your own worth, and Your own personality .... Don't let anyone make you feel that you're a nobody!"
The audience is in a hurry! These are words that resonate with Ben and with every other youngster in this room, all struggling to find their place in the world.
Three weeks ago, Ben was a nobody, a loser, chastised and pushed aside by the world and everyone around him. A system fell on his head, but instead of a blessing, it was a guillotine! Did he give up? Did he give himself up to die? Nah! Even if he were to die a week from now, he would still spend every day of the rest of his life advancing, fighting, and living! This was what he wanted to communicate to everyone here!
"Always feel that you are valuable...Always feel that you are valuable and always feel that your life has the highest meaning!"
Everyone stop breathing! Zachary's jaw is falling! Miyuki's eyes are shining! The professor sat in his chair, his wide eyes staring at Ben! All the students felt a deep urge in their chests! Which of them is not rejected? Who among them does not feel alone or afraid? These words speak to their souls!
"Second ...in the blueprint of your life, you must have, as a basic principle, the determination to achieve excellence in various areas of your business.
You will decide as the days and years go by, what you will do in your life What your life's work will be.
And once you find out what's going to happen, be prepared to do it, and do it well, as if Almighty God called you at a special moment in history to do it!" Ben paused for a moment to look everyone in the eye again. .
"Be a bush if you can't be a tree!
If you can't be a highway, be a path!
If you can't shine like the sun, shine like a star!
Because it is not based on the size you win or fail!
Be the best of whatever you are!"
The professor flinched!
The hearts of the students are pumped! Their breaths are short! Clenching fists!
Zachary clamped the side of his desk, feeling the situation spiraling out of control.
Miyuki's eyes turned red.
Who among them is unsure about their future? Who among them is not marginalized by this great city? Who among them has not witnessed a dream shattered by the weight of the world, forcing them to pursue a "more realistic path?"
They want to excel! They want to feel important!
Ben's last act arrives.
"And finally, in the blueprint of life you must commit yourself to the timeless principles of beauty, love, and justice...
Life for us is never a crystal staircase. But we have to keep moving. We have to keep going...
If you can't fly, run.
If you can't run.
If you can't walk! Crawl up!
But by all means! Keep moving!"
...
Ben finished. He has adjusted and recited parts of Dr.'s speech. Martin Luther King, **.the great one he breathed. Is over.
The room was quiet for a long time ...
Then, a student stood up. He looked at Ben.
*Applause**Applause*That student started clapping.
As soon as he did, everyone woke up. Immediately, the entire audience stood up.
There's a big applause!
