The Horizon Boundaries
Ch.7 Straining

"Maisa, please make her batik cloth" exclaimed mas Ardi from the top of the stairs.

"OKAY. Just a minute, Ka."

His hands were busy gluing wallpaper to the wallpaper. Some of his clubmates put up a banner in front of the stand. Maisa hurriedly took the cloth in question and handed it over.

Today is very busy for the preparation of the cultural festival in the next five days. This festival there is an exhibition of typical fabrics of the archipelago on the second floor of building A. Not to forget there is a food bazaar, batik cloth, accessories, and many more are located on the ground floor of Building A.

There is also a batik workshop for visitors who are interested in learning batik. Visitors are charged twenty-five thousand to simply replace the fabric used later. For the race there are two categories, namely traditional fashion competition and painting competition. As a sweetener at the end of the event there will be a mini concert that enlivened the campus band.

The painting club plans to show off the painting and there will be a painting demo. Because there is still a shortage of club members, this time they have to work hard. Maisa put up some decorations on the stand. He wiped away the sweat dripping down his neck. Tired of whipping at every end of his bones. Finished already decorating the stand. It doesn't feel like it's afternoon.

Mia ran over to Maisa. His hand held a bag of plastic cold drinks. He distributed one by one to the members of the painting club. Mia is not a member of the painting club, but she often comes because Maisa is there. Maisa downed her drink until she was half. Mia looks happy implied from the wide smile on her face.

"Where are you from, Mi?" tanyanya brief.

Mia immediately sumringah as soon as Maisa asked, her face looked bright. Mia tells of herself meeting Kio on the third floor. Maisa heaved a sigh of relief, Mia did not ask the incident some time ago. Maybe I forgot because of Kio.

"Kio wants to join the fashion competition, must be cool. Ken and Erik are coming too. I had a chat with Kio, he was so nice. Can't wait to see it soon. Come with me, yeah."

Maisa laughed a little. Mia is the same as Kio. Actually, he wanted to accompany her. But Kio doesn't like it when it's him. The troublesome brother with all his grandstands. He also wants to avoid Ken as much as possible, fearing that their friendship might be ruined. Maisa never thought, why Ken approached her from so many girls on this campus.

Maisa tries to find an excuse not to come along. Maisa glanced at Maya looking for help. Mbak Maya approached and patted his shoulder.

"The demo is broken, really. If you want, just come along. They're handsome, you know! It's a shame I missed it."

Maisa smiled wryly. Maya can't be compromised. Mia held both her hands, looking at him expectantly. Maisa nodded weakly assenting. Mia hugged him happy. Maisa chuckled looking at her friend like a child. Just hope Kio doesn't get angry later.

The cultural festival was very successful. Many come to visit, especially in the bazaar area. Quite a lot of people come to the painting stand. Maisa alternated with her friend doing a painting demo to attract visitors.

Ken looked bored at the crowd of passersby. Kio and Erik were busy discussing for the costumes worn tomorrow. Ken took the hat in his bag, he darted away leaving the two. Tracing the booth that many visitors. His steps stopped at the art stand. His eyes were fixed on the short-haired girl who was smiling at a little child.

"At busy, huh?"

Ken greeted. Maisa looked over, her face a little surprised. Maisa barely recognized her because wearing a hat almost covered part of her face. Ken was already sitting to his left with a smile on his face.

Maisa feels bad for her club members. He asked for approval, had not had time to say the four club friends immediately gave a thumbs up. Ken also gave his thumb. What happened to his clubmate.

Maisa carved her paintbrush drawing the boy sitting in front of her. His eyes stared fixed at the canvas. While Ken's eyes occasionally look at Maisa's face, ranging from lashes, a sharp nose, dimples add sweet smile.

Maisa did not dare to look at Ken in the slightest. His eyes were still staring pusillar at him making his heart beat like he was exercising. It feels clumsy to be noticed. Maisa glazing to end her cauldron. The corner of his lips smiled seeing the results. He took pictures to share on Instagram.

"Well, cool. Thank you, Brother."

The little boy looked happy. His mother thanked Maisa. Ken pointed his hand at himself. Maisa raised next to her eyebrows, trying to decipher the gesture. Does he want to be painted too?

"Maisa's not taking pictures of me? Time is just painting that's been photographed." He gave a slanted grin.

"Anu... Brother," call Maisa.

Maisa looked at Ken's face. He felt his position was absurd. This man hugged his waist. Ken looked at him. Both looked at for a moment. Maisa tries to keep Ken's hand away.

Czechoslovakia! Mbak Maya chuckles amusedly, proud of the results of his camera shots. Maisa was surprised, trying to snatch it. Maya gives her phone to Ken. That's his phone.

"Sa, it's okay. Just relax." Maya said it while laughing.

Strangely, everything there was no objection. Maisa so questions their sanity level. He tried to get his cell phone. Ken raised it up high. Maisa lost high, trying to tiptoe and reach it is still not up. He jumped up trying to take it. Ken lowered his hand, gave me a cell phone. Maisa took her phone. The photo that was taken has been sent via whatsapp. Maisa winks her believing eyes. Contact name listed Ken Keren.

There's someone standing behind Ken. Maisa looked up, gasp. His heart was almost dislodged seeing Kio already standing next to Ken with a sour face. His cold eyes implied a threat. Maisa shuddered in horror. Erik came at the back surprised to see Maisa sculpting.

"Ah... Hello there. That was the time, right?" abugn.

"Hello too, brother." Maisa replied with a faint smile.

Kio still glared at Maisa. The girl was tightly holding her phone restlessly. Ken noticed the change in attitude of Kio and Maisa alternately. There was a sense of anger in his heart. He stood in front of Maisa, dispelling Kio's gaze at the girl. Erik was astonished by the two sohibs acting strangely.

"We go first, yes" Erik told everyone there.

He pushed the two away, looking for a rather quiet place in the back corner of building A. Kio and Ken were still both silent with their respective thoughts.

“So tell me, what is your relationship with that girl?” Erik broke the silence asking for an explanation.

"Kio, do you know him?" Ken cut Erik's words.

“Don't approach him, Ken. She's not a good girl." Kio also ignored Erik's question.

“What's he like?” ken is cold.

"What?" Kio asked back.

"Until you talk like that, you know him, right?" Ken asked again.

Kio looked more and more irate. His hand hit an innocent wall. The pain of his handbooks. Ken was still looking at her coldly.

"Curtain!" Kio walked away leaving the two and disappeared in the middle of the crowd.

Erik let out a long sigh, his right hand holding onto Ken's shoulder. "So seriously you like her."

"Do I look like I'm messing around?"

Erik shrugged his shoulders unconcerned. It's just that he doesn't like their current mood.
