The Horizon Boundaries
Ch.13 Bad Memories Part 2

Jain and Evan run in the hospital to the receptionist. Both went straight to the patient's ward, room number 505. With trembling hands Evan opened the door. Jain patted his shoulder.

Maisa's already inside. His hand was holding Lucy's hand. Face sayu. Lucy is still unconscious after a critical period. An oxygen hose valve covered his nose. In his hand was an infusion hose. On his chest and middle finger was attached to a heart rate monitor. The girl had broken bones of her legs and hands and also had a brain hemorrhage.

Maisa got up from her seat to see the two coming. Evan clasped Lucy's hand, kissing her pale cheeks and forehead. A look of sadness appeared on his face. He tried to hold back the tears of seeing the heartbreaking condition of his lover. The regret of having let the girl go alone filled his chest cavity. Wishing the girl opened her eyes, smiled back at him.

Maisa reported the incident to the police. Lucy's family is coming soon. Jain takes Maisa out. Make room for Evan. The girl cried as she pleased, blaming herself for not being able to accompany Lucy. He promised to protect his friend.

"It's my fault, brother. I shouldn't have gone to the tournament to be with Lucy. When Lucy met in that building, it felt like my heart was breaking. I'm afraid Lucy's gone because of me."

Jain hugged the girl tightly. Rubbing his head gently. Maisa was crying bitterly in her arms.

"Std... Be calm! It's not your fault, Sa."

Lucy's father slapped Evan on the cheek. His voice sounded loud. His mother cried bitterly at the heartbreaking condition of her daughter. Evan apologized. The corner of his lips was bleeding. The pain was nothing compared to his grimacing heart hurting. His hands clenched tightly. He was really sorry to let Lucy go alone at that time.

"Didn't you promise to look after Lucy. How can it be like this?"

"I'm sorry, sir. I'm remiss in taking care of Lucy."

"Don't see my daughter again."

"Sir! I beg you to give me a chance to meet Lucy."

Evan is not allowed to meet Lucy by his parents. Every day he always came to visit, even though he could only peek from the glass door. Standing pensively, her hands clasped a bunch of Lucy's favorite white roses. He left the rose by the door and left a note.

I'm sorry Lucy. I love you.

Lucy's mother looked out of the room, feeling the shadow of someone. There's no one. His eyes were fixed on a bunch of roses on the floor. He brought the flower in, put it in a vase. His eyes looked at the face of his sleeping daughter with sadness.

...****...

Maisa stopped in front of the old building. His head looked up at the third floor. It looks like the former collapsed floor is still new and the balcony barrier iron is broken. Police lines are still attached around the fence. It seemed as if he had unknowingly walked into this building.

The sound of the wind crashing into the wall hole. His short hair fluttered in the wind. The atmosphere was silent, rarely people passing by. Maisa tightened her handrails on her backpack strap.

Maisa walked into the building. The smell of damp stings, the air full of dust. Every now and then the building trembled a bit as large vehicles passed on the highway. He sharpened his sense of hearing. There was only the sound of the rubbing of his footsteps echoing.

Maisa arrived on the third floor. His feet slowly approached the collapsed balcony. His head looked down, right where Lucy had fallen. His heart is beating fast. He took a step back. When he turned his eyes he saw Jain. The girl jumped to the side. His heart is like it's going to fall. His hand held his left chest.

"Sa, is this your second time here? It's dangerous here. Let's go!"

"But I want to know why Lucy's here."

Jain tried to persuade Maisa once more. The two eventually went downstairs. The tech! Maisa stepped on something. He shifted his legs, crouching to see the beaded bracelet of the black-colored stone left behind some seeds on the rope. Jain and Maisa looked at each other.

The bracelet belonged to Lucy. Maisa gave it to him when he first joined as a basketball manager. Why the bracelet could be here. He picked up the beads of loose bracelets assisted by Jain. He pulled the girl out of the building.

The police provisional conclusion was a suicide. But why did Lucy do that. He has no motive. If you want to kill yourself, it should be in a place that a lot of people pass by, not in this old building. This building is not the right place to commit suicide.

And here again. Maisa stopped at the old building again. This time he paused for a moment, then continued on his way. Maisa passed through a narrow path. Not far from there are some thugs hanging out. They laugh, occasionally smoke cigarettes. His steps came to a halt, he accidentally heard their conversation which left him stunned.

"It's a pity we didn't get to taste fresh apems. The girl jumped down first."

"Next time we'll get a good one, bro."

Maisa clenched both her hands. His anger reached the crown. Women seem so cheap in their eyes. One, two, three, four. Can he face them all. Maisa's hand typed the message quickly and sent it.

Maisa arranged her smile, raised her knee-length skirt to her thighs, unbuttoned two on her shirt. He walked as if passing through them.

"Neng, where is the rush" said one of them.

Maisa smiling. Gotchas! She turned a sweet smile towards them. Her hands raise her hair behind her ears.

"Sorry, Bang. I was going to Beemart, I knew it was here. I seem to be getting lost."

The thugs elbowed each other, his eyebrows moved, his eyes glanced towards Maisa's thigh and chest. A fresh quarry. The four thugs stood up to him. Maisa still held back her smile. In my heart was filled with swearing. It felt like I wanted to directly hit these bastards. Hold on for a while until you get what you want.

"Come, Neng. Brother inter."

...****...

I met them. Meet me now on Jalan Randu.

Jain rushed to run like an orang-in-waiting after reading a message from Maisa. He just left his basketball practice. His feet were walking towards the motor park. Evan had just parked his motorcycle approaching Jain who was installing a helmet and running his motorcycle.

"Where's the rush?"

"Continue, Van. You come along. Maisa's in danger."

"What?"

"The crazy one is going to confront the person who hurt Lucy."

The deg! Hearing that, Evan's heart felt like it was racing. The emotions that are being harbored seem to overflow. He wouldn't forgive those bastards if he dared to touch Maisa too. Evan rushes back to his bike to accompany the Jain motorbike.

That crazy girl. What he wants to do.

Jain felt Maisa was going to do something dangerous. The feeling is not good. He increased the speed of the motor, bulldozing the vehicle in front of him. Evan did too.

Jain and Evan parked the bike at Beemart. The two ran into the street towards the old building. A few people crowded around were busy taking videos of something. Jain flicked at the crowd, his eyes widening at the sight before him. Evan was no less surprised.

Maisa's hands were covered in blood, her clothes and face were splashed with blood. Empty look. The girl killed four merciless thugs. He continued to hit one of the men despite being unconscious.

Evan looked at Maisa who was still beating the man. His anger just vanished, although there was still a remnant of his anger for those bastards. He will not release them, and will make calculations until they rot in prison. The girl tried to make up for something that should have been her fault. Gently, he touched the girl's hand.

"That's enough, Sa."
