His eyes were fixated staring at the male haircut of the ash brown colored curtain fringe laughing with his friend. He could only look at her from a distance without and the courage to approach. Not far from her was an ash brown short-haired girl also doing the same as she seemed. Different, the way he looked at it looked bored.
He smiled as he approached the girl, stood beside her, continuing his delayed activities. "It's cool of them."
The girl beside him was a little surprised. He reached out to her, asking for her acquaintance. "My name is Mia Anggraiani. You know, I really like Kio."
The girl received her hand. His lips smiled stifled. "I'm Maisa. You're a Kio fan."
Mia looked at the girl in front of her. Hey, what's so funny. The girl in front of him seemed to be holding back her laughter. Not laughing at him but at others. His face was reminiscent of that man, almost similar. He has a premonition if befriending him could bring him closer to Kio.
Mai taught Maisa's footsteps after college. His hands hugged a few books. "Where's the plan?"
"You go to the art club for a bit" replied Maisa.
His steps stopped at the corridor intersection. Maisa also stopped. "Well, you want to make sure you walk."
Maisa chuckled, "Ups... Sorry. Next time yes. I made a promise to Maya. Ah.... Hope you can get close to Kak Kio."
Mia waved her hand at the girl. Smile fades. "Hm... Now I'm joining the others."
He turned towards the cafeteria. He accidentally hit someone. His heart had almost stopped seeing who was in front of him, holding its breath.
Kio looked annoyed, the cola he had just drunk spilled onto his shirt when he hit someone. The girl in front of him was petrified. Kio moved his palm to his face.
Mia blinked, her eyes fixed on the cola spill on Kio's shirt. His hand scratched his bag, took out a few pieces of tissue.
"Sorry, Brother. It wasn't intentional."
Kio raised both his hands letting the girl clean them. He watched the girl for a moment. Her face is pretty. There's a mole under his left eye. The reddish hair of the back is slightly wavy tied untidy.
Mia's heart was racing. The distance with Kio was so close. It could almost feel Kio's breath blowing from the top of his head. His hands wiped the dozen colas.
"OKAY. That's enough."
Kio kept his body away from Mia. He felt uncomfortable when someone rubbed his chest. The girl in front of him scrunched her face looking worried.
"But the nodes..."
"It's okay."
"May I buy you a meal as an apology."
Kio pulled his eyebrows up. "No need."
Kio who passed from before him. His hand squeezed the cola can, threw it into the trash can, and entered. Mia patted her cheeks, resuscitating her back to the real world.
"Huh! I really like it," he murmured. His fingers pressed against his chest. Feeling his heartbeat.
...****...
Mia rushed to the cafe. He cursed his stupidity, too cool to joke forgetting his promise with Maisa. It's almost a quarter of an hour late. I hope that girl is still there.
Mia gave her breath that stinged after running. Her lips smiled faintly seeing Maisa still coolly reading books. He hugged the girl's neck from behind.
Unexpectedly Maisa screamed making the entire Cafe turn their heads towards them. Reflesk Mia put her hand away. Placing his back on the chair in front of Maisa.
"There's no need to scream like that, Sa. Like look at the vents."
"I don't like being hugged all of a sudden."
Mia beroh ria's. He recounted his unexpected encounter with Kio yesterday. His eyes narrowed at the sight of his friend surly when he mentioned Kio's name. An uneasy feeling infiltrated his heart. He brought his face closer to Maisa until the girl retreated backwards. His eyes looked in.
"Don't you have a crush on Kio, Sa?"
Maisa spouted out her drink. Mia put on a face, took a tissue, wiped her face that was affected by splashes of water.
Seeing the change in Maisa's attitude, Mia was able to estimate that it had something to do with Kio. The girl always put on an uncomfortable face as she talked about Kio. But Maisa never denounced, instead encouraging him. What is Maisa hiding?
Mia saw three men enter the cafe. His eyes sparkled something he was expecting. He patted Maisa's hand.
"Eh there's Kio. Join, yuk!"
He looked towards Maisa. The girl was no longer in front of him, sneaking around like a thief out of the Cafe.
"Where are you going, Sa?" He shouted while waving his hand.
Maisa escapes out of the cafe followed by Ken. Mia tilted her head. What's wrong with the girl. His eyes met Kio's. Kio turned his face away. Mia smiled, approaching the two men.
"May join, Brother."
Kio nodded in agreement, as if he did not care. Her lips were blaring indistinctly. His face was annoyed at someone.
"Sister Kio remembers me, right?" Mia ventured to start the conversation.
Kio looked at him sharply. Observe from the tip of the foot to the tip of the head.
"Oh... Which time it was." The tone looks cold.
His chest was painful, Kio didn't like it very much. It might be natural, since Mia had never tried to approach him all this time. Just looking at him from a distance.
"Hoo.... So you know each other, right?" Erik melted away the unpleasant atmosphere.
"It's none of your business" Kio said in a spicy tone.
"Tch!" Erik clucking. He looks upset with his best friend who disappeared because of a girl. And now Kio was like a boy again tantrum.
"Review yes, Ken. I'll pite your head later." Exclaims.
Mia laughed a little. His hands were busy stirring his drink with straws. "What happened to Ken?"
"Huh! You didn't know Ken had a crush on your friend."
Mia blinked her eyes, her brows furrowed. A smile spread across his face. He unconsciously held Erik's hand.
"What's right, brother?"
Kio glared at him. Erik who subconsciously let go of the hand of the girl.
"Wow... Waw... Hold still. My love only makes Alice one."
Mia laughed when she heard it. This guy is funny too. Rarely does anyone actually like someone.
"Just calm down, brother. I have someone I like."
"Ohoa... Did ya? But by the way Maisa is similar to Kio at a glance, yes. Even the color of your hair is the same. Is it just my feelings."
It turned out that it wasn't just Mia who felt that way. The two looked at Kio fixedly. A thread of sweat dripped on Kio's temple. His heart is pounding. Looks like it's gonna get caught.
"True to him is ....."
"Your ex-boyfriend, right?" Erik cut the conversation off on his own.
"Well! What's?" He and Mia shouted together.
Kio was stunned, his brain seemed to stop for a moment. Confused with the contents of his best friend's brain as good as he could conclude something. He glanced at Mia. The girl looks hurt.
Mia sucked her drink up the toilet. Erik's words were like tearing his heart apart. If you remember, Maisa is also always evasive if asked about Kio. And Kio made no comment, choosing silence. It looks like he's going to be heartbroken.
