The Horizon Boundaries
Ch.32 Cocked

Just because someone's jealous doesn't mean he doesn't trust you. He's just afraid of losing you.

The kabom...!

The sound of an explosion from a speaker next to a 32-inch monitor. Ken and Kio are busy moving the controller, playing COD games. Ken's phone is vibrating. A message from an unwanted person.

Ken. Can we meet at Maple Restaurant at eight. I have something to tell you.

Ken clucked in annoyance, threw the phone at the sofa. Continue playing the game. He is currently in Kio's room, waiting for his girlfriend to return. Maisa has outdoor activities with friends at her painting club. Kio who is also lazy to invite him to play games.

"Hey... That's the one in Bro's corner. Finish it," cried Kio.

"okay, Bro. In your place there is one in the darkest," said Ken.

Ken's phone is shaking again. A message came in from Alice. He still insisted on approaching her despite being rejected many times.

Ken, this is the last time. It's imperative. Please!

Game over!

Ken is upset. Why else would the woman contact him. Kio turned off his monitor, glancing at the sour-faced Ken.

"What's up, Ken?"

"It's okay. Just someone who doesn't matter."

Ken glanced at his new watch showing it at half-four. Maple Caffe is a short distance from Kio's house, just 20 minutes away by motor.

I worry about going for a while or not. Maisa's coming home soon. The message from Alice back in made her upset.

"Bro, I'm out. Back again."

"It doesn't matter if you don't come back. I am also surprised. You come here too often, you know."

"And my boyfriend is here!"

"Haish! Continues mode. I was made the reason for continuing. What a good thing he is." Kio's tone sounded sniffy.

Ken just grunted hearing it. He snatched the helmet out, drove his bike.

Alice was already there, sitting by herself by the window of the cafe. He waved to her.

Ken's face is still sour. He sat on the chair in a rough motion.

"So, what do you want?" Her voice was cold without emotion.

Alice smiled, thrusting the menu book before her. Ken looked at her bored.

"Why not relax first. We were familiar when we were kids. Now it's cold on me, Ken."

Ken's pissed off. It's his fault for not being friends with Alice anymore. It was he who kept Ken away.

Maisa and Mbak Mia have just finished an art club meeting walking casually across Maple Cafe which is located on the side of the road.

"Std... Sa." Mia's mother held back her steps. His finger pointed towards the cafe.

"Why, Mommy?" Maisa watches the cafe. His forehead was wrinkled, not understanding.

Ma'am Mia told him to duck hiding in the perdu fence. The two squatted watching the visitors of the Cafe across. Some passersby were staring at them strangely. Like stalking something.

Maisa squinted her eyes, looking at who Mommy Maya meant. His eyes wide. Alice smiled wiping something off Ken's lips.

Maisa clenched both her hands. This heart beats faster. Her chest is painful. Like there was a strong emotion bursting out. Angry, upset, and sad mixed into one.

Ma'am Maya instantly felt a cold aura from the girl next to her. He brings a smile. It seems Maisa is jealous.

Ken hurried to his feet followed Alice in his footsteps. Suddenly his leg was tied to the chair until it hit Ken's chest. The handsome young man held both of his arms, pushing him away. Alice stayed close to Ken's face. Maisa's gaze grew even more intense.

"Mr. To sit there. If you want to stop by there, just go inside." A middle-aged woman rebuked them.

Maisa and Mbak Maya jumped in shock, reflex immediately standing up. Both are smiling. The woman passed by in wonder.

Maisa sees the two of them out of the cafe. Maisa pulled Ma'am Maya to turn around. His face looks hard.

"Tomorrow, Mother."

"Why? You're not jealous, Sa?"

Maisa stopped her steps. Stupefied. Is he jealous. Alice and Ken have been friends since childhood. It's natural that they're close. But he doesn't like it when Ken gets close to him.

Maisa smiled at Mbak, "Maybe!"

Ken separated from Alice. His demeanor was frantic, there was no benefit in meeting the girl. The blink of his eyes caught a familiar figure. He ran to catch the girl's wrist.

"Wait, Sa."

The girl turned around. Apparently not his girlfriend. Ken apologized to the girl. He was sure Maisa was here. He looked back at the crowded streets. His eyes met Maisa's gaze from a distance.

He ran through many pedestrians. The girl instead ran away dragging her friend, disappearing behind the crowd.

His knuckles were cold. Did Maisa see her with Alice? Is the girl angry? An uneasiness surrounded his entire body.

Ken decided to return to Kio's house. Wish the girl was there. He wanted to explain everything to her so as not to misunderstand. Naughtiness! Maisa hasn't come home yet. He tried to call but was not picked up. Messages that are not answered.

"Why is your face like that. Ahah.... Break up with Maisa, huh?" Kio laughed softly.

"Damn it! Yes, see friends suffer."

Ken is upset. Kio even laughed out loud holding his stomach. The sofa cushion slapped his face. Seeing Ken's upset face, he laughed again.

Maisa sucked her drink up the toilet. He ordered another ice cendol on the salesman's brother. Innocent pegs were stabbed countless times just into his mouth. His phone rang a few times. There's a phone call and a message from Ken. He refused to reply.

Maya's mother stirred up the ice her head was still half left. The two sat near the five-foot cart.

"Sa. You better tell Ken first. Cassian she is."

"Let it go, Ma'am. I want to calm down. Fear of fighting later."

Ma'am Maya chuckles softly, "Oho."

Maisa pursed her lips, pretending to be pouting. "Who said I was a child."

...****...

Sa.... Please reply to my message.

Maisa opened her eyes, reading Ken's message sent to her many times. The girl took out her blanket. He took a deep breath, typing a reply message.

Yes Brother. Explain everything tomorrow.

Ken replied to his message.

Ja. Tomorrow I'll clear it all up. I'm sorry and I miss you.

Me.

Maisa put down her phone, immediately wrapped in a blanket continued her sleep. Ken read the reply from Maisa. A little relieved feeling.
