The Horizon Boundaries
Ch.56 Moved

"Pa, stop! What did Papa do to Maisa? He's part of this family too!" kio exclaimed at Mr. Chandra who still looks angry.

He did not think his father would throw Maisa out of the house. Looking at the girl's injured face, her chest ached. He doesn't like that feeling. Does Maisa deserve that treatment?

Kio started to question him to himself. He had to admit that he had also ignored the girl. The more it hurt the girl, the more it hurt her heart as well. After the events of the video he tried to be kind even though sometimes still ignore it.

"Let him go. What could be out there?" sergeant Chandra with a fury.

Kio rubbed the back sign with both hands. Frustrating. Had his father forgotten who was behind the girl. Ken's family loved it and were ready to help whenever he wanted. Seeing their closeness, of course, can be guessed. Not to mention Ken would definitely not let the girl.

"If Maisa why-why how?"

"Well! It's none of my business!"

"Then how's Aery Corp?"

Mr. Chandra pensively for a moment. "They won't do anything stupid for personal reasons."

Kio gaping to hear the reason from his father. He could no longer say anything.

In her room Maisa packed all her things into a suitcase. A few pieces of clothing and some items that look important. The falling tears of the beurai coalesced into a small river. His left cheek felt throbbing from the slap. He looked at himself in front of the mirror. Sure enough, his cheeks look red.

The girl wiped her tears and threw out her snot with a tissue. He looks so sad now. Someone knocked on his bedroom door. Kio stood in front of the door.

"Don't go, Sa. Let's apologize to Papa, "pinta Kio tried to persuade the girl

Maisa rolled her eyes lazily. "No want! I didn't do anything wrong, brother. What am I sorry for. I'm part of this family but it just seems like the wind goes by."

"But I don't think you are."

"Well!" Maisa stared intently at him.

"OKAY. I used to be so. But now I'm not so."

Maisa still looked at him sharply. Kio grimaced awkwardly. He aligns his index finger and thumb. A tad. Kio was willing to open his mouth. The girl closed the door first.

Maisa dropped herself on the bed, wrapped in a blanket. He didn't want to think about anything today.

The next day Maisa pulled her suitcase down. Kio confronted him, snatching the suitcase out of his hands.

"Don't go, Sa. I beg!" he pleaded with a pleading tone.

"I told you to let him go if he wanted to go. What does a kid seem to do?" chandra sir exclaimed from inside the house.

Maisa dress up putting a flat mimic on her face. His heart felt shapeless hearing his father's words. Is that worthless in his father's eyes. He shook Kio's hand and reclaimed the suitcase. Kio could only watch the girl disappear behind the fence.

"Sir, please take it to Wahid Hotel, yes" Maisa told the taxi driver who stopped in front of her. His eyes were fixed on the street object on the left.

The taxi stopped at the hotel. The building is clean and well maintained. Match the price. He needs to stay here for at least two days until he finds a boarding house or a small rented house.

Maisa noted all the need for independent living. Luckily he has savings from selling his paintings and his youtube. It doesn't matter if you have to live independently. His phone rang a few times, left lying around.

...****...

Ken knocked on Maisa's door. Kio opened the door with a sweet face. Along the way Ken felt a bad feeling. He spread a sweeping look across the room. There was no Maisa there.

"Where's Maisa, Ki?"

"I don't know," Kio replied quietly, sitting pensively on the sofa.

"Whatchu mean? Where's she going?"

His net widened, blood whizzing crawled up on his face. Teeth bluffing. Ken pulled Kio's shirt, threw a fist at his face. Kio looks resigned, not fighting.

"What have you done to him."

Kio told me all the problems. Ken laughed miris. Feeling ridiculous just for trivial reasons, they chased away the girl.

"And you didn't hold it?"

"I've tried."

"Then you let him go. Not that you're his sister. You should have accompanied him, not let him go. Are you really his family?"

Ken left Kio who was still silent. He tried to contact the girl several times but there was no answer. He could only hope that the girl was okay.

Ken called someone he knew. He would not want to use the connection with his father's Aery Corp company.

"Hello, Mr. Bram. I'm asking you to find someone as soon as possible. I sent the data. Please call me soon."

Meanwhile, Maisa slept all day to not hear the sound of the phone. His eyes were open when the evening began. He yawned widely, moving both of his hands, relaxing his stiff muscles.

There was a knock on the door from outside. Next to his eyebrows raised. Who's knocking on the door of his room this afternoon. Maisa opened the door slightly, peeking out from the gap. Someone barged in, directly hugging him. The door in front of him was closed hard.

"Sister Ken? Why is it here?" the girl's voice sounded hoarse.

Ken let go of his embrace. Staring at the girl. He felt Maisa's reddened cheeks. Ken felt angry at himself not being able to keep the girl.

"Why not ask me for help, Sa? I was so worried about you when you just disappeared."

"Sorry, Brother. I don't want to bother you."

"Don't say that. Please lean on me. I promised I'd take care of you."

Maisa nodded slowly. He exited the hotel wearing black jogging pants and a mint-colored hoodie. Ken took her to dinner at a warteg not far from the hotel.

"I'll help you find a house."

"But...."

"Don't refuse!"

"Good!"

In the morning Ken comes to drive a car to pick up Maisa to find a rented house. During the trip, Maisa was more mute.

"I recommend you some houses. Wanna see everything."

"Can. So fast to get the info, brother?"

"Who used to dong if not your handsome boyfriend."

Maisa chuckles with Ken's rendition. Ken laughed. She was glad that girl started to show her smile. The two explored the house that was about to be contracted. There are four houses. The location is not far from the campus.

Both stopped at the last house type 36. The yard is green neatly arranged. There's a rambutan tree in the front yard. After seeing the contents, Maisa liked this house. The atmosphere feels cool and comfortable.

"I want to take this one" he smiled at Ken.

"Okay, Beb."

Ken bought the house without the girl's knowledge.
