Tong! The sound of a bell coming from the front door. Maisa is painting in the living room. He put a brush and palette on the table. He wiped the paint stuck in his hand onto a washcloth.
The girl rushed to open the door. A woman came in and hugged him. Almost the girl fell backwards.
"Surprise! Did I surprise you, Ken?"
The woman let go of her embrace. Apparently Alice. The girl was surprised to see Maisa in her home.
"Why are you at Ken's?" ask Alice in a high tone.
Maisa raised next to her eyebrows. The woman in front of him is still thick face after the scandal case yesterday.
"Well, why, Mother? Brother Ken doesn't forbid, really!" say it in a relaxed tone.
Alice immediately inflamed. He clenched both his hands. I want to see this girl in front of him. Her eyes found a speck of paint stains on her knee-length dress. His eyeballs are glaring.
"What are you doing? My dress got dirty with paint. Got to compensate?"
Maisa lifted next to her lips. Resisting frustration. Patience. Just be right. He raised both his hands.
"Wait a minute, Ma'am. Who was suddenly hugging? Alice's sister, right? So it's not my fault that the dress is dirty. Who told you to hug people carelessly?" His voice is made as sweet as possible. In Maisa's heart has issued an oath.
"You!" Alice was at a loss for words. Her index finger was pointed at Maisa's face.
The roar of the motor enters the yard of the house. Ken took off the helems and went straight to the two girls. His forehead creased to see Alice there.
Alice suddenly dropped herself onto the floor. He furrowed his brows, putting on a face of mistreatment. Ken approached Alice and helped the girl stand up. He hugged Ken. The corner of her lips dropped like she wanted to cry.
"Ken, I've made him mad. So he pushed me," he said in a clear tone.
Maisa's mouth is open. What kind of drama is this? The girl squeezed her hair. Sighs. He clucked slowly, lazy to respond to the behavior of Alice the drama queen.
"Just do as you please!" Maisa chose to enter the house.
Ken pushed Alice away. His eyes turned cold. The plan of wanting to make a surprise for Maisa failed miserably because of this girl before him.
"I can't believe Maisa did that" Ken said in a flat tone. He was sick of the drama the girl was playing.
"Well! Did you forget, he is a monster that can attack others blindly," Alice replied in an increasingly raised tone.
Ken clutched his arm hard. The girl was cringing in pain. "God! What do you know about him. Looks like you forgot what you did. About the video, you should be thankful I didn't hold you responsible."
Alice releases Ken's hand. His arms felt pained. The man in front of him looked extremely angry right now. Why Ken never once glanced at him. They have been friends since childhood.
The girl left Ken with a face that wanted to cry. It hurts to hold unrequited love for ten years. He wished Ken would see him only once. But all that never materialized, plus the presence of Maisa who appeared out of nowhere. Ken hated her even more when he teased the girl.
Ken went into the house after making sure Alice was gone. Maisa sat in the corner of the room continuing her painting activities. Inwardly wondering, was the girl not jealous of him as Alice hugged him.
He approached Maisa, hugging the girl's neck from behind, peeping at the top of her head. The girl laughed a little. He lifted his head to look at his lover.
"I'm still painting, brother," he said softly.
Ken watched the painting in front of him. A familiar figure in his eyes. A man looks like he's floating in the air, dunking into a basketball hoop. He's bowing to himself.
"That's me, right?"
Maisa nodded slowly. "It's when I first saw Brother Ken do a dunk." The girl's voice sounded timid.
"Don't tell me you're interested in that." Ken with his pedal tried to guess the girl's mind.
Maisa shook her head. "No. It's secret. This painting is actually for a surprise but it's not because Ken's sister came home early."
"You're a surprise to me."
Maisa turned the occupied bench facing Ken. His eyes look serious. "Sister, I got a scholarship offer to France for an art major. Taoi I haven't decided yet."
Ken heard it. Maisa looked at the man. He looks mute. Doesn't Ken like it?
"How long?"
"About four years."
Four years is not a short time. Let her and Ken separate, forge a long distance relationship. Just remembering it, his heart instantly wavered. Not to mention there are rivals who always try to find a gap tempting Ken.
Ken held the girl's hand. A smile develops on his lips. He knew it would be hard for both. But he had to support the girl's dream.
"Take it, Sa. You have a talent for it. Pursue dreams. I'll wait for you here. I may occasionally visit you to France."
The girl's eyes look teary. Ken pulled her into his arms. Maisa returned her embrace.
"I'll talk to Kak Kio and Papa too" said the girl slowly.
"I also happen to want to tell you that I'm going to stop modeling and focus on taking care of the company."
Ken drove Maisa back to her tiny house. On the terrace there is already Kio waiting. His face looked sour as soon as the two appeared.
"Where are you staying, Sa?" ask the girl.
Maisa tilted her head in wonder. Tumben's sister's attention. Ken threw himself on the bench next to Kio.
"Don't tell me you're staying at Ken's?" Kio's gaze was still probing.
Ken held back his laughter. From the beginning he knew, Kio had unconsciously been overprotective of his sister. Sometimes the method used is wrong.
Maisa grinned, scratching her short hair. Kio glared at him. "You're crazy, yeah! He's a man, you know!"
"Of course I'm a man" said Ken covering half of his face with the back of a hand, holding back a laugh.
"You just shut up!" hardik Kio to his best friend.
"If you want to stay there Mia or go home. I don't like you staying at a guy's house, even if he's my best friend."
Maisa nodded rather than having to listen to her scolding at length. Ken laughed out loud. Kio glared at him. He immediately drove the man home.
Ken kissed the girl's forehead in front of Kio on purpose. Kio raises a fist, but Ken tickles first. He stuck out his tongue mocking Kio.
Ken drove his bike. Maisa pecked with her hand holding her forehead. His face was red. Kio was getting annoyed.
"Basic fucking Ken! What did you do to my sister!" upset ass.
"Sister, I want to go to France" Maisa said as the two sat inside.
Kio nodded at the news. He did not expect Maisa to go that far. France is not a close distance. How will he live there? There must be a lot of jerks who would tease him. Just thinking about it pisses him off.
"How long?" Kio's question is similar to Ken's.
Maisa smilingly said she would be attending college there for four years. Kio looked at the girl. There was a round throat emanating from his eyeball. If so, how could he hinder his sister's dream.
"Well, I hope you're happy with the path you choose" he said slowly.
"Thank you, Brother." Maisa gives a warm hug to Kio. He has set his sights on pursuing his dream of becoming a painter.
