Maisa and Kio cross paths while walking into the living room. There is a sense of awkwardness between the two. Pal Chandra sat down first, sipping hot coffee.
Maisa says good morning with her sweet smile, despite not getting an answer from her father. Mr. Chandra just kept quiet. Not looking at him who came later. But it is not a problem, it has become his daily food since moving to Jakarta.
Maisa put her foot out of the fence. Both of his legs felt weak, his strength disappeared somewhere. Yesterday's incident still stuck his head. He crouched down, bowing his head suddenly dizzy. His breathing was hunting, his feelings becoming anxious for no reason. Afraid of what happened yesterday again. His bag was left to fall at his feet.
"Why are you sitting here."
Maisa raised her head, her brows furrowed, looking at Kio who was already preparing to leave. Kio watched his paled face, sweaty hair falling on his temple. He grabbed the girl's arm, swept her back to the porch.
"Thank you, Brother." Said slowly.
Kio patted his head slowly, a few minutes later away on his motorcycle. He did not say where he was going to Maisa.
Maisa ends up spending time at home. Yesterday's incident still left trauma. His feeling was a little shaken. There is a feeling of fear when you want to step outside the house.
Sometimes ditching college doesn't matter, right. Joking. He's been asking Miki for permission to rest for a while. Mr. Miki's voice sounded anxious from across. Maisa laughed, saying she was fine.
Kio stops his bike in the parking lot, takes off the helmet and puts it in the rearview mirror. His hand grabbed the phone in his pants pocket.
"Bro... Today I'm allowed not to go to college. There's an urgent need." Kio called Erik.
"Woi..."
Erik did not reply, Kio had turned off his phone, put his phone in his pants pocket. Sighs long. His head looked up at the writing on the "Polres" building". He entered the building.
On the other hand, Ken got to campus earlier than planned. Rushing to the painting club to meet his bluff, nothing. There is no library either. His feet ran towards the basketball court. There were only Erik, Mia, and a few members of the basketball club. Kio is invisible, and so is Maisa.
"Where is Kio?"
"Oh... He said he couldn't go to college. There's a sudden need." Erik said while dribbling a basketball.
"So, I can't let you feel well." Mia interrupts before Ken questions her.
"Don't they both date."
Erik laughed provoking Ken. Just look, the man glared straight at him. Mia looked at him with a glint of sharp eyes ready to skin him alive.
What happened to Maisa. His feelings became unsettled. Ken tried to reach him, no answer. His finger typed a message for the girl, hoping to reply to her.
...****...
Maisa tries to entertain herself watching Korean drama accompanied by chip setoples. Laugh at the funny scene. Crying takes a box of tissue. Kio who had just come from outside saw him shake his head, but he did not reprimand him. Trying to give her space to calm down.
"They got caught this morning."
Hearing Kio's words, Maisa stopped laughing. His eyes look relieved. But still a feeling of worry was still lodged in his chest.
"Just calm. They wouldn't dare hurt you. Since when have you been this weak."
"I'm also a normal person."
"Normal?"
Kio chuckled amusedly hearing it, going outside again. Maisa grunts annoyedly, ignoring him. His eyes glanced at his flaming phone. There was a call coming in from a familiar person. Ken Cool's. There was no intention of changing Ken's name.
"Sa, not college? What pain?" His voice sounded worried from across.
"Just a little dizzy, maybe low blood pressure." Maisa lied to him a little.
"May heals quickly, yes. I miss meeting you."
"Me too, Brother."
Maisa put her phone on the table. Spreading her body on the sofa, her hands hugged the sofa cushion. Her cheeks flushed. He smiled to himself, turning his position into a stomach. His eyes met the sight of Kio sitting at the dining table, sipping his drink. His face revealed a keki expression, shaking his head. Since when did he sit there.
Maisa immediately sat up straight, stretching her hands up, flexing her muscles. His eyes glanced back at Kio who was each looking at him.
...****...
Kio impatiently looked at it, threw the helmet. Maisa was a little surprised to catch him. His eyes were full of questions. Kio stopped his bike in front of Maisa, moving his thumb to the back seat, telling him to go up. The look on Maisa's face shone brightly again, her smile flashing. Kio felt his decision was right when he saw his sister hesitatingly coming out of the house.
Kio stopped his motorbike a bit away from the campus. Their relationship did improve, but Kio still did not want to openly admit his sister. Maisa got off the bike. His hand held the helmet he had been wearing. A backpack tucked in his back. Walk slowly down the sidewalk. The sun is quite hot stinging the skin. Then pass the vehicle across the road, sending exhaust fumes and dust into the air. The trees on the roadside cannot clean the dirty air.
A motor sport stopped nearby. Ken opened the glass of his helmet. Maisa stopped her steps. Several women who also passed by turned their heads towards Ken. Their faces were blushing red, enchanted by his good looks. Someone got to the stall.
"So Kio, right? How can you go together."
Ken's gaze probed. His tone sounded cold. The usual smile that adorned his face was nonexistent. He was upset to see them go together. Maisa never said anything about her relationship with Kio. Trying to pry the info from Mia, there was no result.
Maisa tightened her hand on the bag strap. He felt guilty seeing Ken disappointed.
"Eum.... My house is in line with Kak Kio's house."
Ken still looked at him in disbelief. Maisa still seems to be hiding something from her. Actually Maisa doesn't feel good lying to Ken. Kio would be angry if he told her without her permission. He prefers to act like a stranger, rather than admit his sister Maisa to others.
Ken let out a long sigh seeing Maisa still mute. He moved his hand, asking the girl to go up. Ken drove his motorbike into the campus courtyard. Parked his bike in a rather quiet parking lot.
"Thank you, Brother." Maisa said slowly.
"Hmmm..." Ken put his helmet on the bike.
"Sister Ken's angry?"
"I'm not angry" he replied briefly.
Maisa feels Ken is angry at her. Usually this man in front of him always put on a thin smile. This time his face slabs.
"Sorry, Brother. But it's true that my house is in line with Kak Kio."
Ken's still mute. Maisa is confused as to what to do. Something popped into his little head. Not likely. She smiled a little.
"What's Ken's brother jealous."
Ken flinched, dismissing all the feelings that were burning his heart. There's no way it's jealous.
"I'm not jealous."
"Oh...."
"okay... Okey... That's enough."
Ken rubbed Maisa's head, peeping it softly. Maisa holds her hair. The smile on his face grew bigger. Her cheeks flushed. His eyes stared at Ken's wide back that was away, disappearing behind the bend of the corridor. He split up with Ken for taking a different course.
Sorry, Sis. I can'tidal tell you the truth. Someday I will tell you everything.
Maisa walked in the opposite direction. After a few steps, someone hugged her from behind. She's looking. A kiss landed on his cheek.
"I miss you. See you later, Sa."
Ken immediately ran away leaving the petrified Maisa. His hand held his cheek. Some people were whispering behind him. He immediately ran away, covering his blushing face with the back of his hand
The sweet girl accidentally met with Mr. Miki. He nodded his head in respect. Miki stopped his steps.
"Are you okay?"
Maisa frowned. Some unpleasant events did make it a little worse. Even his fear was still left in each of his bone joints.
"I'm fine, sir. Thank you for worrying about me."
Maisa smiling. He immediately needed to leave Mr. Miki before the lecturer came up with a strange question.
