The Horizon Boundaries
Ch.58 Come back

Maisa cut chives and onions. He cooks for dinner while humming along with favorite music. His activities were interrupted when there was a knock on the door. The girl took off her apron, went to the front to bust the door.

Kio stood there. His tired face implied much that the man thought. Maisa told him to come in. Kio circulated his gaze, sweeping through every corner of the room.

This place is small, not as big as a house that is inhabited but looks comfortable. The girl's expression was better than when she was at home. His face looks happy. Seen from the smile of the girl.

Maisa offers a cup of tea. The two sat facing. Tacit. Crickets singing in the yard.

"Where did Kio get this address?" maisa said after waiting for quite a while there was no sign of Kio opening his mouth.

Kio scratched his cheek, avoiding the sharp gaze of the girl. "I have my own informant."

A few hours earlier. Kio was pacing back and forth in his house. It had been four days since Maisa left home. No word from the girl. Ken didn't even tell me where the girl was right now. During the campus Ken behaved as usual, never once offending the existence of Maisa.

Are you really his family?

Ken's words kept ringing in his ears. He was disturbed by those words. Maisa is his family. Did he treat her like family?

Kio ruffled his hair. There was no way he could ask for help from Aron, his father's personal aide. The man must have told his father. He remembered someone, the girl's best friend.

"Don't you know where Maisa lives now?" he said by phone.

Mia refused to tell. But he continued to persuade the girl. Mia felt Kio was desperate. Finally the girl collapsed, telling Maisa's home address.

But don't tell me I told you, yeah. Make up with Maisa. He looks sad.

"OKAY. I promise!" Kio hung up. There was a message from the girl. It seems like he should surprise her later.

"Looks like you're comfortable living here, Sa. Does Ken come here often?" kio said again breaking the silence.

Maisa shrugged her shoulders. "It's like that."

"Did he stay here too?"

Maisa glared at him. His smile that had been painted on his face disappeared. Kio realized that the words had just offended his sister. He sipped tea from his cup.

Bruh! He spouted out his drink, sticking out his heated tongue. Maisa laughed a little. Feel that. He poured cold mineral water on her. Kio immediately swallowed it.

"I'm aware of the limits, brother. I'm not a cheap woman who's willing to let men stay in this house."

Kio apologized to him. The girl just nodded slowly. The mood returned awkward.

"Sorry, Sa. I can't persuade Papa."

"Stop! Stop apologizing, Brother. I don't blame you. Even I'm glad Kio's brother wants to come here."

Maisa smiled sincerely at him. Kio felt the burden on his shoulders slightly lifted. Both eyebrows are tied. He hugged his sister tightly.

"I can't breathe, Brother!"

"Oh... Sorry!" Kio let go of his embrace.

"Aren't you planning on going back home? I'm ahem."

Maisa laughed hearing that. Tumben Kio would like to speak out. "Hm.... I don't know. If Papa forgives me, I'll think."

...****...

A group of students came out of the class. The third class has just finished. Maisa taps Mia's arm, takes her to the cafeteria. Having just reached the outer door of the classroom, the two were confronted by a thirty-year-old man wearing a black suit.

"Miss Maisa!" sweep it in a friendly tone.

Maisa looked at the man in front of her. Like meeting somewhere. But where?

Maisa's face instantly turned sour. He knew the man. Aron, his father's aide and secretary. The anger began to burn. Rather than face it head-on, his father would rather send in his aide.

"No way!" Maisa immediately passed from before the man. A few steps later he stopped again.

"Ah.... Unless Papa calls me or picks me up straight away. Goodbye bye!"

Maisa immediately pulled Mia away. Both of them accelerated their steps. Mia looked back. The man silently did not follow them, only watching from a distance.

"It turns out you're an adult, miss!" he smiled. The man immediately contacted someone.

In the canteen is quite crowded. Maisa saw Kio waving her hands towards her. Ken and Erik were there too. Mia sat down next to Kio.

Maisa shook her head, chuckling with the girl's level of purity. But it's powerful to melt his brother's heart. Ken patted the bench next to him.

"Looks like you made up with your sister, bro. And now you're dating our basketball manager. Ken's dating your sister, too. It seems I'm the only one here with a dust grain." Erik bribed a spoonful of rice into his mouth.

"Find the way of a woman who loves you sincerely rather than chasing someone who doesn't care about you." Kio said it in an unconcerned tone, insinuating someone that was Alice.

"Shut up! I don't like you vilifying Alice. I still haven't given up, you know," Erik glared at him.

Maisa's phone bedering cut off their conversation. Papa, the name on the screen. After almost a week of no news, just call now. The girl exited the canteen, leaning her back against the corner of the canteen building.

I want to talk to you. Meet me at Young Mama's Dining House.

The conversation was interrupted before the girl opened her mouth. Maisa looked at her phone in annoyance. What-what earlier? Is that all?

"Miss, let me deliver!"

Someone was talking beside him. Maisa jumped in shock, covering her almost screaming mouth. The man did not leave the campus.

"Ah... Goddamnit! I thought who," he was upset.

The man opened his mouth, but was attacked by Maisa.

"Don't say anything else. I'm pissed off."

The man smiled, patting his head. Maisa brushed off his hand. Ken who was looking through the glass window of the canteen clenched his hand. Dislike just appeared to see there was another man who was familiar with the girl.

"He's Aron, my father's loyal aide. Don't worry, he did like to pat Maisa's head since childhood," Kio explained.

Mia patted her eel. Kio's words were like adding oil to a fire. Just look, the man's face looks hardened.

Mia nudged Kio's leg. The man turned his head, raising his brow next to him. Mia shook her head, telling him to be quiet.

Sorry, Sis. I go first yes. Papa called. There's something to talk about.

Ken straight back. What else saw the man holding onto Maisa's shoulder. Mia held back a laugh but also felt sorry for him.

Ken, did you do something to invest in my father's Beurata company.

A message came in from Kio. Ken looked at Kio with annoyance. What else now.

Ja. I did it.

Kio nodded his head. He took a long breath. Didn't expect her side to go that far. But it jeopardizes Maisa's position.

Hurry up and chase your girl there. My father would have vented emotions on her. I think you can control the situation.

Ken immediately got up from the chair, grabbed the bag on the bench, ran after Maisa. Hopefully he comes on time.

Maisa hold on in a minute. I'll protect you!
