Ken rode to the surface of the pool carrying the fainted Maisa. Carefully put the girl on the edge of the pool, starting to press against her chest. Trying to get rid of the water that has been swallowed by it.
Kio who had just come to terms with what had happened rushed over to Ken. Panicked. That was what was depicted on his deathly pale face. His hands trembled as he touched the girl's arm.
“She's okay, right?” tanyakanya.
Ken didn't answer the question. All of his thoughts were distracted by Maisa's current condition. “Sial! He's not breathing.”
Ken immediately gave an artificial breath. Occasionally his hand pressed against the chest of the girl. He kept repeating it a few times. His breathing began to become irregular. All the worst conditions flashed through his head.
Kio noticed Maisa's slightly blue face. There was a feeling of guilt in his heart. He should have jumped into the pool instead of pecking. He should have helped Maisa instead of Ken.
Shortly after, Maisa coughed. Water came out of his mouth. Consciousness returned. A red hue returned on his paled face. She sees Ken and Kio sitting nearby. Both of them looked at him with a relieved look. The corner of his lips lifted into a smile.
Thank goodness I'm alive. Thank you, Lord.
"Thank God!"
Ken breathed a sigh of relief, hugged her tightly, afraid that the girl would disappear. He kissed his whole face. No matter Kio was beside him.
Kio sat. Brow wrinkled. His face was empty. For a moment it felt numb. The shadow of the death of a loved one flashed in his mind.
Unknowingly he squeezed Maisa's hand which he had been holding since. Maisa's voice was stirring up in pain bringing back her subconscious. Ken glared at him, clasping Kio's hand.
Relief was drawn from his face. Kio grabbed Maisa's body, snatching it from Ken's embrace. He hugged his sister tightly. His lips were unceasingly muttering apologies as well. Ken patted her shoulder.
"Sister! Untie me. I can't breathe" Maisa exclaimed in a hoarse voice.
"Oh! Sorry!"
Kio let go of his embrace. Maisa inhaled a deep breath of air and exhaled it. He chuckles slowly. The two men beside him looked at him in wonder. His hands were embracing the necks of the two, pulling them closer.
"Thank you all." Maisa's smile looked bright, as bright as her face.
"What's this?"
The familiar heavy voice in the ears shocked the three. Mr. Chandra stared intently at them. There's a box of P3K gear in his hand.
Maisa stood up. His head suddenly dizzy, almost limp. But he tried to stay standing. Ken held him up to stand.
"So Maisa almost drowned, Pa," Kio said.
"Oh!"
Mr. Chandra pecked for a moment. Mimic her face flat. He handed Kio the P3K box and darted inside. Not long after, Bi Tari came out in a hurry.
"Ouch, Non. Here Auntie help you up," she said in a panicked tone.
"Let me, Bi. Let Auntie get Maisa a change of clothes" Ken replied.
Bi Tari nodded and went back inside. Maisa looked up at Ken.
"I can go alone, Brother."
"With such conditions? Can't!"
Ken inserted a hand into Maisa's waist, raising both of her legs. The girl flinched, spontaneously draping both of her hands to Ken's neck. Ken carried her bridal style up to her room on the second floor.
Bi Tari was already in her room, preparing her change of clothes, knee-length t-shirts and shorts.
"I go home first, yes," said Ken with a gentle smile. Her hand stroked Maisa's still wet hair, stroking her cheek.
Maisa nodded her head. He touched Ken's hand still on his cheek.
"Why did Ken come back here?"
"Oh... I missed it. But I didn't think you'd drown. Next time I'll teach you how to swim."
Maisa laughed a little. "Good!"
Ken leaves Maisa after giving a farewell kiss on her forehead. Bi Tari cleared her throat making her cheeks meet red.
"Auntie could be," Maisa concluded with a laugh.
Mr. Chandra relaxes in the living room accompanied by a cup of coffee. Not to forget the business-themed tome in his hands. Kio approached and immediately sat not far from him. The aroma of bath soap and shampoo is out. Her hair still looks wet.
His hand picked up the remote, turning on the television in front of him. Maisa is invisible. The girl fell asleep after the incident that nearly left her dead this afternoon.
"What's the kid's condition?"
Kio only replied briefly, "No one was hurt. But it looks like he's just in shock."
"Oh...!"
Kio watched Mr. Chandra for a moment. There was no worry on his face. He was silent in his hand at the book. Like there's an impenetrable fortress there. Kio shrugged, his eyes sidetracked on the television broadcast in front of him.
In the afternoon, Maisa secretly sneaks out. Kio and Mr. Chandra were still busy adding some decor on the side yard. Ken's waiting in front of the fence. He leaned on the front hood of his car with both hands into his pants pocket. Wearing a white shirt wrapped in brown vest.
Ken smiled at her arrival, leaving the girl stunned. Maisa gulped her saliva mesmerized by the handsome figure before her.
The girl was dumb. Ken felt anxious, pinching his nose. Maisa opened her eyes.
“Sorry, Brother. I'm a little long down."
Maisa is wearing only a white shirt and jeans. His short hair was left to sag. His appearance was exactly that of a beautiful-faced man. Ken looked from foot to head and shook his head.
“You want to go to the party or you want to take a leisurely walk, sih.”
Maisa looked at herself, swiping her shirt, grimacing.
"Something's wrong, huh?"
"none. It's already! Unplug, yuk!"
Ken pulls Maisa's hand and tells her to get in the car. Maisa according to him. Ken drives his car at a moderate speed.
Ken looks very handsome. Her cold eyes were cool. His tall and athletic posture is very compatible with his appearance.
“Fax me again huh, Sa?” ken said nosily teasing him.
Maisa was wrong. His cheeks were red. But he tried to cover it up.
"Um... Ja. Uh! Not particularly. Hais! Brother Ken narcissistic."
Ken laughs. Maisa's behavior was exactly what she had in mind. The girl almost made her heart stop yesterday.
At that time, Ken drove his motorcycle almost a quarter of the way to his home. He remembered that his phone was still on the bench near the swimming pool. Arriving at the reverse sign, Ken spurred his motorbike back to Maisa's house.
Ken went straight to the side yard of the house. Kio's voice shouted to Maisa's name. He immediately ran over, finding Kio staring with a deathly pale face looking at the pool.
Without a second thought Ken immediately plunged, diving into the pool. His heart throbbed with pain as he watched the girl drown. He grabbed the girl's hands and waist.
No air bubbles came out of the girl's nose. Ken kissed his lips, gave an artificial breath, moving his feet up to the surface.
"How are you doing now, Sa? Is anyone sick?" asked Ken after a few moments of silence.
"Safe, Brother. Thanks for yesterday."
"Other times be careful, yeah. I don't want you to get hurt or anything. No one can replace you, Sa."
Maisa nodded slowly, occasionally stealing glances at Ken. He looked towards Maisa with a big smile. Maisa's heart was about to stop.
Ughhhh! Deadly attack.
Ken stopped his car in a three-story building with a signboard that read Boutiq. Both got out of the car.
"Well, we'll get you a present for that jerk, I mean Kio."
Maisa nodded in agreement. The two joined hands entering the boutique.
