The Horizon Boundaries
Ch.68 Dinner Invitation

The second time Maisa was kidnapped saw Ken doing a photo shoot. He was watching people passing by carrying equipment. They were busy preparing for the photo shoot.

Ken's getting ready for the clothes he's going to promote. Don't ask how it looks. Of course he was handsome in the eyes of Maisa. Several times the girl glanced at him.

Ken sat next to him. His hand was holding the girl's bagu. Maisa turned her head towards him, slightly tilting her head. His eyes were full of questions.

"Who's your partner today? What's Alice?"

Ken laughed a little. "Why? You jealous?"

"No. I'm just asking." Maisa turned her attention to the staff passing by. Albert seems busy calling someone.

"What's? Asyia can't come? How can you just teach it now? Even the picture almost goes."

Albert paused for a moment, then continued his words. "Are you crazy? How can I find a replacement at such a short time?

He ruffled his hair. His eyes swept every corner of the room to a halt at the girl beside Ken. Maisa looks cool looking at the catalog of clothing models.

The man nodded slowly. Maisa raised her head. Albert watched him from the tip of the foot to the tip of the head. He snapped his finger.

"perfect. Anna! Please make her up. This girl will be Ken's partner today" exclaimed the man to the beautiful woman with shoulder-length hair.

Eh? Maisa blinked her eyes with her index finger pointing at herself. His lips were open in disbelief at what he heard. Ken just chuckled softly beside her.

"Are you jealous of yourself now?"

"No! Didn't they? Eh? Why is it like this?" maisa panicked.

The girl pulled the woman into the make up room. Ken crossed his arms.

"I didn't expect you'd make him my partner today" Ken told Albert, who was busy preparing for the shoot.

"I don't have time to find a replacement. Your girlfriend seems to be a good fit for the theme this time. Aren't you happy?"

Ken rubbed his chin. "Where might I not be happy. I could see all the expressions on his face today."

Albert just shook his head. "It turns out you're pretty mean as well."

A MUA started putting on Maisa's face. Starting from applying moisturizer then proceed with foundation. Concealer is applied to the area under the eyes, forehead and chin. The powder brush is applied to the powder and placed in the t-zone area.

Do not forget the primary eyeshadow in pulaskan first before wearing eyeshadow. After that the woman tidied up her eyebrows so that it looks natural. Lastly, she put a nude lipstick on her lips.

"You can open your eyes."

Slowly Maisa opened her eyes, looking at her appearance in the mirror. He blinked his eyes a few times. His face looked very different, unlike his.

Maisa walks outdoors wearing seven-centimeter highheels. Knee-length skirt and offshoulder white blouse. Ken watched her without blinking.

"OKAY. Let's end the lovey dovey. Let's start shooting."

A while later, Maisa sitting outside the studio let out a long sigh. Her cheeks feel cold. It's looking up. Ken brought him a bottle of cold tea. He sat beside her.

"I didn't expect to be a model to be this heavy" Maisa said after downing her drink.

During the shooting session Albert always scolded him because his position was too stiff, wrong pose, or whatever. Ken just laughed a little at his complaints.

"But you look funny."

The girl glared at him. Ken looks happy to have worked on it.

...****...

Mr. Chandra was sitting opposite Brian at a restaurant. Both are drinking their own drinks. Mr. Chandra restated the pending project.

Mr. Brian flipped through the proposed documents. His hand rests on his chin. "How's Maisa doing?"

Mr. Chandra snorted, not expecting that sentence to come out of his mouth. He had not heard from Kio since he refused his request.

"She's fine" she replied slowly.

Mr. Brian raised his eyebrows. She is publishing a fashion magazine. On the front cover is Ken sitting on the back of the sofa with his left leg crossed and right leg slightly bent. His right hand is chin-backed. His left hand held onto Maisa's cheek.

The girl sat in front of him crossed her legs. His left hand rested on Ken's feet and his right hand was placed near Ken's shoes. Both of them stared intently at the camera.

Mr. Chandra took the magazine. His hands trembled slightly holding back the anger. Why can't the kid stop making things complicated.

Mr. Brian smiled a little. "Looks like you don't know your own son's daily life. I'm going to get the project out this time. I don't want to work with someone who ignores his own family. So I hope you realize that. Don't disappoint me, because we've been working together for a long time."

Brian patted her on the shoulder and left. In the car, Ken was waiting. He seemed impatient to hear from his father.

"Don't worry. I've said everything. But this all comes back to him. Whether he wants to open his heart to that child or not."

Ken pulled his hair up. Didn't expect the problem would be this complicated. He just wanted Maisa to smile happily. But that smile sometimes disappears when you remember your father.

"How about you invite Maisa over for dinner. You haven't stopped by in a long time. Your mother must have missed."

Ken nodded slowly. He sent a message to the girl.

Papa's taking us both to dinner at home.

Maisa reads the incoming message from Ken several times. Make sure his vision is normal. Read how many times it stays the same.

Mia who was sitting next to him also looked at the message. He cleared slowly. "Cie. who wants to see camer."

"It's just a regular meal together, really." Maisa tries to evade. His cheeks were red. A message came in instantly making his smile vanish.

Let's have dinner together. I have something to talk about.

The message was from his father. He frowned. What else does his father want. He has been out of the house and has also said he will do anything as long as he does not tarnish his family name.

Maisa no longer wants to hear cruel words from her father. His feelings are still hurt. He sent a message from his father.

"Sorry, Pa. I can't." Today."

Ting! Re-entering a reply from his father.

How about tomorrow?

Maisa nibbled her temple. He really doesn't understand his father's mind. Has he changed his mind and taken it back? The girl sent a reply.

"All right!"

That night Ken picked up at his rented house in a car. This time he was wearing simple clothes. Knee-length dresses and white sneakers. I opened the door for the girl. The car drove down a fairly congested highway.

"You look beautiful tonight."

Maisa looked towards him. "really? Thank you for the compliment."

"You know, Sa. I just want you to always smile happily beside me."

The girl tilted her head in wonder. "What's all of a sudden, brother? I'm happy to be by your side. Thank you for always being there for me."

Ken replied with a faint smile.

Aye! You have to be happy no matter what.
