60. Invites

Shane and Elara's wedding party finally took place after all the preparations had been thoroughly prepared. The event was made at a resort on the beach.

If there were not many friends and colleagues present in Indonesia, then when the wedding party was held in Hamburg, Shane deliberately invited many colleagues at once so that he could announce if he was married.

"Congratulations, Shane. You're finally ending your single life." A friend of Shane came with his son and wife to the event. He said a special series of congratulations to Shane and Elara.

"Congrats, you're finally getting married."

"Woa, congratulations, Brother!"

"May you be happy and quickly find a successor."

And many other sayings that are pitched almost the same-Shane received today.

The party was very private. Shane deliberately did that so that no unwanted parties were present at the event.

Not just anyone can get access to it. And Shane imposed strict guard there.

Shane didn't invite Ryder, let alone Megan. He did not want to risk in case the party would be damaged if attended by the two people, because they could affect his mood and Elara's feelings.

But, Shane knows that his wife invited Kyle to their show.

Shane doesn't know why Elara did it, but what he can conclude is that his wife felt guilty for ignoring Kyle and didn't tell the man in the first place about their marriage.

And now, Shane did not know if the man would come to attend Elara's invitation or not.

"You ... are waiting for him?" Shane desperately endured the rumbling in his heart. She doesn't like it when Elara waits for another man, even though it's her best friend.

Shane knows Elara loves him, but Shane can't share Elara's heart even if it's only for Kyle's friendship. After all, Kyle was a stranger to her marriage relationship.

"Who do you mean?" ask Elara.

"Who else if it wasn't your best friend, would you have invited him, right?" Shane was too lazy to name Kyle, so he used another pronoun.

"You don't like it?"

"I didn't say that" replied Shane. "But you should have talked to me first, Lara," he said.

Elara looked at Shane with an inexplicable expression. She didn't expect Shane to say this to her. Or is he the one who was wrong for not discussing this first with Shane? About the invitation to Kyle?

Elara just does not want to complicate her relationship with Kyle who has already stretched. If while in Indonesia he could ignore Kyle and not invite him to come, not even tell him at all, it is impossible when he held an event in Hamburg he again forgot his best friend. However, Elara still remembered Kyle's kindness to her.

"Here you go, should we argue here? Besides not necessarily Kyle will come because he is very disappointed in me," replied Elara finally.

Shane breathed a long breath. Indeed, he should not discuss it now and culminate with a debate with his wife.

The reason Shane dislikes it if Elara invites Kyle to their party, is not just because she is jealous of the man, but he also thought of the other impact that Stevi became aware of this news and could have planned something bad to ruin their party. That kind of thing and Shane's feeling riled up right now.

"Relta ..."

"Kyle, are you coming?" Elara stared intently at the friend who finally showed himself in front of her.

Shane knew he shouldn't feel this way, but watching this scene still made him jealous. However, besides Kyle being Elara's best friend, the man had also proposed to this woman who was now his wife, right? Is it wrong for Shane to be jealous of her?

"Congratulations on your marriage. I pray you're always happy, Ela." Kyle extended his fingers before Elara and was greeted by the woman.

Don't ask how Elara feels now. He feels guilty and does not believe Kyle still wants to attend the invitation from him. Didn't Kyle have a big soul with him at this party?

"Thank, Kyle. Thank you so much." Elara's eyes looked teary as she blurted out her words.

Kyle smiled at the woman he loved so much. Then, trying to immediately release physical contact between them, because he did not want the hand job back draining his sense of sadness. Kyle turned to Shane who had a flat face there. He knew this man did not like his presence, but now he had to accept his defeat because in the end Shane was the winner.

"Congratulations to you." Kyle looked at Shane's goal. "I hope you can take good care of Elara. Don't hurt her and give her happiness" she shook Shane's hand tightly. There's a kind of responsibility that he now owes to Shane.

"You don't have to doubt it. Without you asking, I'll always do my best for my wife." Shane deliberately emphasized his last word, so that Kyle realized that Elara really was officially his now.

"Yes, I trust him to you." Kyle smiled obliquely and Shane sniffed his shoulders indifferently.

"Good fun with the party." Shane turned friendly. Either just a pretense to avoid the cold war that occurred between him and Kyle there. "Ah, yes, and may you quickly get a lover for you to marry, too" he continued with a wry smile.

Kyle laughed discordantly, then returned to the table he was supposed to be at in the event.

From his position, Kyle saw if Elara was staring at him. He smiled at the woman while holding a wine glass in his hand. Elara just silently looked at Kyle who started to shake his drink. It was undeniable that Elara could see a huge look of disappointment on Kyle's face at the same time.

"If you care about her feelings, it means you have a taste for her" whispered Shane right in Elara's ear. He can talk like that because he saw what had just happened including when Elara noticed Kyle there.

"Shane, how many times do I have to say .. I've been yours so stop jealous of me with Kyle."

"You always say, what if the situation is reversed. And now, I want to say the same thing. What if it's upside down, where I have a female best friend, and then she looks at me lovingly from the table on the other end?" shane said referring to Kyle's attitude there.

Elara looked at her husband. Highlight his eyes are illegible, but in the heart of Elara certainly reject firmly Shane's words that corner him.

"Hows it? Can you accept if things are reversed?" Apparently Shane demanded an answer from his wife's lips.

Elara gulped her saliva with great difficulty. Now he knows his position and he can imagine how Shane feels when he has to face Kyle who comes to his side.

"I know." Elara finally rediscovered her voice that had been stuck in the esophagus and could barely get out. "I know you must be hurting over all this. But, Kyle is my best friend, Shane?" with a sad face.

"And you can only think of my feelings, Lara."

"Of course, I just feel guilty for Kyle."

"From now on, remove that kind of feeling in your heart. Because you're not wrong. The guilt arises because you yourself stimulated your brain if you had done anything wrong to it. In fact, you are not guilty of anything, because everything you have taken is an absolute right that you have decided on the basis of your own consciousness."
