10. Searching for Signals

Elara's condition has begun to improve, her wounds began to dry even though not completely.

Today Elara asks to come with Shane looking for a cell phone signal. Although if he follows his heart he still wants to linger with Shane in this Forest, but Elara should not be selfish by relying on the feelings of the family who awaits his news there.

Elara had kept her family number on Shane's phone to call if the man managed to get the signal up there.

Shane arrived in the middle of the tree not so difficult. Climbing trees like this is often done during emergencies. It can be to protect yourself from wild animals, or look for signals as well.

The dogs ran in fear when they heard the sound of a gun whose bullet Shane was shooting in a direction not too far away. While Elara, covered both her ears with a crouching position of fear.

Shane got down and arrived downstairs, he hugged Elara and tried to calm her down. He knew Elara could not hear the sound of her gun, even when she heard the lightning, Elara looked terrified.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry ..." Shane patted and stroked Elara's back regularly.

Elara looked at Shane with eyes still looking surprised. The man replied to her with a look full of regret.

"We're back at camp. I've called your mother. I thought he could digest my words even though it was very difficult because he said my voice was disjointed and less clear."

Shane hugged Elara again when she said nothing. Shane knew Elara was still surprised especially with the gun she had.

Shane simply answered Elara with a faint smile.

"Protect yourself from what? Are you a gangster?"

Shane broke their arms, then laughed softly at Elara's innocent words.

"No, Honey. I'm not a gangster. You believe me, don't you? It's just something for self-protection when I'm climbing a mountain or camping in the woods."
