ELARA: FATED TO LOVE

ELARA: FATED TO LOVE
56. Fiesta

It was not in vain that Elara went shopping last afternoon because tonight Shane actually invited her to go to a party held by a co-worker, so Elara could use the dress she had bought. Auspicious coincidence, Inner Elara.

While reading a message from Shane, Elara immediately agreed and immediately prepared that when Shane arrived home, Elara was done looking after herself.

As Elara was almost done with her appearance, Shane had also arrived at their residence. Really good timing.

"Darling, you're so beautiful" Shane praised as soon as he saw his wife look beautiful there. She wants to kiss Elara, but she dodges on the grounds that Shane hasn't taken a shower. Shane clucked his tongue, but Elara chuckled at it. She only joked because in the end, Elara kissed her husband.

"Hm. Already, now take a shower and get ready too," said Elara while pushing slowly Shane's body as if to accompany her towards the bathroom in the corner of the room.

Shane chuckled and finally followed his wife's orders, until a while later he had finished bathing and prepared to wear the clothes Elara had prepared.

"What's this party?" elara asked when Shane was buttoning his shirt.

"Mrs. Walker invited her to his wife's birthday party. I don't feel good about not going there because we're currently working on a project."

Elara manggut-mangut understand. He sits on the sofa and notices Shane who starts wearing his slimfit suit.

"Ehm, did I hear you got into a ruckus at the Mall today?" shane asked a glance at Elara.

"Nolan told you?" guess Elara.

Shane did not answer, but Elara interpreted the man's silence as a response that meant yes.

"The woman didn't touch you, did she?"

"Why don't you ask Nolan that too?" sindir Elara's. Sure enough his feelings, this is what makes his movement limited when he must be supervised by Nolan and Lisa, because in the end Shane will know everything he went through including the matter last afternoon.

"I just wanted to ask you. You're my wife, not Nolan." Shane paused for a moment, then continued, ".. You know if I'm doing this for your own good, right?" shane now appears to be wearing a pomade for her hair. He focused on looking at the mirror and did not look at Elara.

"Yes, I know." Elara also flatly replied.

"I'm just worried about you." Shane walked over to Elara when she was ready for her performance.

"Hm ..." Elara replied with a slow murmur.

And Shane grabbed his wife's fingers. "We're leaving?" bring him.

Elara nodded and got up from her seat.

Before actually getting out of their room, the two look in the mirror at a large glass featuring a full body - which can show the entire appearance of both.

"Didn't we seem very compatible?" shane looked at their reflection in the mirror.

Now Elara smiled. He knew Shane was improving his mood that was not good because of their previous discussion.

They then exit the room and cross paths with Emma who also seems to want to go down the stairs.

"You guys want to go?" ask the middle-aged woman. Although they live on the same roof, Emma does not interfere too much with her son's household affairs, because she knows Shane and Elara are married because they love each other and no longer need to intervene.

"Yes, Mom." Elara answered.

"To Mr's party. Walker?" guess Emma.

Shane nodded.

"Alright, be careful on the road. It was raining this afternoon and the road was very slippery. Ask Max to drive carefully."

"Thank, ma'am."

They go and are chauffeured by Max. Until the car that took them arrived at a star hotel courtyard where the birthday party of the wife of Mr. Walker.

"Call, Mr. Walker..." Shane greeted the show owner.

"Hi ... Mr. Gladwin, thank you for coming here. How you doing?" mr response. Walker.

"I'm great."

Mr. Walker looked at a woman who was present with Shane there. "Woa, is she your lover?" the tanyanya refers to Elara.

Shane smiled thinly. "She's my wife," she replied straightforwardly with a proud smile towards Elara.

"I didn't know you were married. Congratulations on your wedding." Mr. Walker shook Shane's hand and shook it. Shane responded warmly and they engaged in another conversation.

"Your wife is beautiful, Mr. Gladwin," praised Riana, Mr.'s wife. Walker.

Shane confirmed Riana's words with thanks.

"Thank you" Elara said something similar. "You are also beautiful and happy birthday to you," he continued to praise Riana there.

"Yes, yeah, enjoy the show. Have fun and enjoy."

They also enjoy the banquet in the event and taste some of the dishes that are there.

Not only met with Shane's colleagues, but at the party also brought them together with Shane's rivals in the world of work.

Although a rival, but it never hurts to answer the greeting addressed to him because this is outside the world of work, that's how Shane thought when greeted by a Ryder Ford.

"Mrs. Gladwin, how are you? Long time no see."

"Yes, Mr. Ford. I'm great. How's yours?" shane asked the rival.

"I'm good too, Shane." The man chose to answer Shane with an informal sentence. Then he glanced at Elara who seemed to be holding Shane's arm there. "Is this beautiful woman your companion?" he asked with a smile towards Elara.

"She's my wife, Ryder," Shane replied honestly. Although actually he was reluctant to introduce Elara to the rival, but everything was already done. There's no way he's hiding Elara just so Ryder doesn't see his wife.

"You're married? When's? Maybe I wouldn't know if I hadn't met you here."

"Yes, that's it" Shane replied unwillingly to be too open to rival Ryder Ford.

Ryder reaches out to Elara and Elara hesitates to greet her as she can judge if Shane and this man are not that close or maybe they have personal problems? Elara does not know anything about the competition of both in the world of work.

"Elara's."

"Rider."

They mentioned each other's names, and Elara immediately let go of the same hand.

"He's one of my rivals in the business world. But before that we were schoolmates." Shane says it as he and Elara sit back in their seats after Ryder's departure moments ago.

"Oh ..." Elara nodded. "Your relationship is fine, right?" tanyanya. Somehow Elara felt bad when she saw the smile that Ryder had told her earlier.

"Yes, I can't." Shane answered ambiguously.

"meaning?"

"Sometimes Ryder can act like a friend. But he also knew that I was always wary of him." Shane commented a smile and at the same time he gulped his drink from the glass he had been holding.

Elara was silent with her husband's answer. He also could not have thought badly of someone - even though since meeting Ryder he had hesitated to introduce himself.

"Now, do you understand why I asked Lisa and Nolan to take care of you while you were gone? You may not have enemies, honey. But this husband of yours, maybe a lot of people don't like me. Especially since this moment, maybe Ryder's getting jealous of me."

"Why?" ask Elara.

"Because I came with you. And he's alone." Shane chuckled at the end of his sentence, like sneering at Ryder's condition.

"So you're deliberately showing me off at this party?" guess Elara.

"Not really, honey. I just didn't expect to see Ryder here. And even if I wanted to show you off to the world, we could speed up our wedding that we haven't had in town."

The party is about to be held and Emma says that the preparations for Shane and Elara's wedding are almost complete and will probably be held within the next month.

"It's up to you, Shane." Elara drinks her drink now. Now she understands that her status as Shane's wife is not only pleasant, but also full of tension because of the warning that Shane just said.

They watched all the processions at the party until Riana cut her birthday cake.

As they were laughing at the entertainment presented there, someone passed by and stopped in front of the table where Shane and Elara were sitting.

"S-Shane?"

The call made Shane and Elara turn towards the voice.

Elara blinked several times to realize who had just greeted her husband, but what she found was the look on Shane's face that suddenly turned not as pleasant as earlier.
