33. Let's Get Married

By force, Elara had to reject Kyle's proposal even though she knew the man's attempt to come to her family was not playing games. Indeed, this is very hard for Elara, she does not have to hurt the heart of the friend but she also can not marry without the love that should be the foundation in her marriage relationship.

Although his relationship with Shane is still gray because it has not received the blessing of Emma - Shane's mother - but somehow Elara is also unlikely to take Kyle's proposal for granted. "Wait," cut Kyle. "I? I know the man you mean as your lover? Is that one of your colleagues at the University of Berlin? Robert's? The guy who was one whip with us in college?" guess it.

"Then? Wh who? If it's like this I hope you can be honest with me, Ela!" kyle urged.

Elara took a deep breath, until finally a name she was able to mention to Kyle who was waiting for his answer on the other side.

"Shane."

Elara's words that rejected him, made Kyle feel awkward. Moreover, the reason Elara was to have a lover. Since when? Even Kyle is very familiar with all the activities of Elara who never once dated a man. The closest to the girl was only her and of course Elara's answer left Kyle very surprised.

Shane finally chose to leave his apartment. He went to the university where Elara taught and luck was on his side because when he came there, it turned out that Elara had just finished with her teaching activities.

"Well!" Shane immediately caught the hand of Elara who had just walked out of the campus area, apparently the girl was about to go to the bus stop which was just in front of the university.

"Mirhane?" Elara said without a sound, only her lips moved to pronounce the man's name.

"I want to talk. Why do you keep ignoring me?"

"I need time" sis Elara.

"Are two days not enough? I've been so tormented waiting for your decision. Your time is up, miss!"

Elara lowered her face, she herself was confused as to how to respond to Shane. One side he loved the man, but on the other he knew there was a big wall blocking them both. Not to mention yesterday-yesterday Elara's mind was divided because of Kyle's proposal to her family. Now his head feels like it's going to break and collapse.

"So, what do you want?" challenge Elara by raising her face back.

Shane grinned. This was the question he was waiting for from Elara.

"Let's get married."

"You crazy? We haven't got your mother's blessing."

"no need. We can elope."

Elara laughed heartily. "Then I'll be judged more despicable by your mother for making you defy her?" elara Sarcas.

"We don't have a choice, honey. I can't without you. Understand!" please Shane with a face.

Recently Elara saw the sad face of Shane who looked very earnest and serious at the same time. Usually the man just teases her more often, or play the word to seduce her. But now, Shane is completely different. Maybe he has lost his way and has no other idea than to invite Elara to marry without the blessing of his mother.

"If this were the case, my parents wouldn't let us get married either. Do you think my mom and dad would approve - if your family doesn't respect me?"

"I know," said Shane bowing his head. He grabbed Elara's fingers. "For that, I will assure your family that everything will be fine even without my mother's blessing" he said.

"Shane, how many times do I have to say, things aren't that easy. You don't convince me, but convince your mother to accept me, that's all."

Shane was silent, even though what Elara said was true, but he knew the hard character of his mother who once said no then eventually it would still not. Just like his belief in marrying Shane to Stevi, once said must then it will still have to happen.

"Mom won't change her decision even if I've tried it many times."

"Then let go of me, let go of our relationship" Elara said with a heavy heart.

"Easy then?" Shane threw his face away. He did not expect Elara to answer that.

"Mane! Please don't do this" asked Elara.

"I should have said that, Lara! Don't do this after you've made me love you so much and can't let go of you!" his protest.

"Can you take your hand off? You can't force it!"

The voice of someone, managed to interrupt the debate between Shane and Elara. The two turned and found Kyle there.

"Kyle? you're back yet?" elara said as she looked at the friend there.
