15. Start Recovering

Elara's condition is getting healthier, she almost recovered as usual. Anton is still in Germany looking after his daughter, but Elara feels she can take care of herself.

Now Elara has returned to her apartment in Berlin, because she was indeed returned to the Hospital that existed in the city since it was discovered by the SAR Team in the Forest.

Regarding his work in Hamburg, Elara has not been able to take care of it. The rector who transferred himself had heard the news about Elara but had not given a further decision regarding how Elara's next job.

Elara only received a formal message saying she was allowed to rest until her condition was completely restored and could return to her world of work.

"Ela, there's Kyle in front ..." Anton knocked on his daughter's bedroom door.

"Yes, Dad. Please tell him to wait a minute."

Elara immediately put on her cardigans, then went out to meet the visiting Kyle.

"Hi, Kyle."

"Elah! I brought this for you." Kyle handed the parcel he had brought before Elara.

Elara saw that it was her favorite fruit. Different types of berries. However, it reminded him of Shane who often found wild berries when they were trapped in the forest.

"You don't like what I'm carrying?" kyle asked as he saw Elara's face turn sad.

"It's not so!" Elara shook her head while smiling faintly. "Of course I like it, Kyle. You always know my favorite," he continued.

"Thank God, I think your taste has changed since the accident" Kyle joked.

Elara responded to Kyle with a small laugh.

"Ah, yes, how are you?"

"I'm starting to improve. You know, I've been a submissive girl for almost a month to get well."

"Hahaha, I'm glad you're the submissive one," kyle joked.

They talked for a long time and Elara knew Kyle was still worried about her.

"I'm fine, Kyle." Elara tried to convince the man who had been her best friend since they were both students at one of the universities in Germany.

"Are you sure? I feel you're a little different." Kyle looked at Elara seriously. "Ehm, I mean .. like there's something you're hiding" he continued.

"Kyle, I'm not hiding anything. What am I supposed to hide anyway?"

"Let's go, I thought you'd tell me how you survived in the woods for 9 days. Don't you want to tell me? I'm waiting for you to start that story, but until now you still haven't said it."

"I just don't want to bring up the hard times I had when I was living in the woods" Elara said.

In fact, Elara did not want to be open to Kyle related to his meeting with Shane, so Kyle thought that Elara lived and survived alone in the Forest. So, it's only fitting that Kyle became curious and wanted to know how Elara survived in those difficult times.

"Alright, Ela. I won't force you to tell me if it'll make you sad again."

Kyle came home from the Elara Apartment after he confirmed Elara's condition had really improved by almost a hundred percent.

After Kyle's return, Elara walks to the refrigerator in the kitchen to store Kyle's berries.

"Have Kyle gone home yet?"

Elara turned and found the father who looked busy in the kitchen.

"Kyle just got home, yeah. What are you doing?" Elara answered and asked her father a question.

"Why did he come home so soon? Even though dad was cooking and wanted to take him to dinner together," Anton said without looking at Elara because he was busy stirring food on the frying pan.

"Maybe Kyle still have other business" Elara replied briefly.

The girl approached her father and saw what the middle-aged man was cooking. Elara's face immediately seemed to see what cuisine the father was stirring.

"Well, I cooked a shrimp capcai."

"Yes, you haven't eaten food like this in a long time, have you?"

"Give me, Dad." Elara hugged the father's body from the side, glad her father remembered his favorite food. "Yes, I haven't eaten Dad's cooking in a long time" he said.

"Yes, let's eat!" exclaim Anton while serving a capcai to the serving plate.

Elara helps Anton to arrange the dining table and Anton smiles happily to see his eldest daughter is healthy again. It was a miracle Elara survived the plane crash the other day and Anton is so grateful that Elara can improve as ever without one.

"Enak, right?" ask Anton.

"Always delicious!" elara replied excitedly, she also gave a thumbs up.

They enjoy the dinner in silence until Anton's question finally chokes Elara a little.

"You're the same Kyle dating?"

Elara drank a full glass of water before finally answering her question.

"Well, Ela's been best friends since before."

"Relatedly? I don't think there's such a thing as friendship between a woman and a man."

Elara giggles with her father's words. "There are dong, for example, both of us," he replied confidently.

"If Kyle likes you, what?"

"Yes, if you don't like it, you can't be friends, Dad."

"I mean Dad, don't like that kind of thing. You're an adult, Elara. You should understand what Dad said, right?"

Elara slicked her shoulders. Kyle is a friend to him at any time.

"Dad likes Kyle's attitude. He's a polite grown man. He is also responsible for even seeming to love you. He was most active in finding out about you when the news of the plane crash happened."

"Continue?"

"Yes, I don't think it's any harm if you're with him."

Elara took a short breath. "Dad, Ela is the same Kyle does love each other, but it's nothing more than a friend" he concluded.

"Yes, so, if you're expecting more from our friendship, sorry, that's not possible."

Anton nodded his head. "It's up to you, anyway. Only if he intends to do the same father does not forbid," he explained.

"Did, dad. There's-there's, uh." Elara again nodded.

"No-there is. You're 24 years old, honey. I think you can think of the right candidate for your future. A good man to be with you" Anton said seriously.

Elara shrugged both of her shoulders. For him his father's words were true, but how would he think of himself if his head was still stuck about Shane

As they were about to finish dinner, Anton's cell phone rang and the caller looked for Elara and wanted to talk to the girl.

Since the plane crash, Elara does not have her own cell phone. He only gave his father's number once to a member of the SAR Team to give him news related to the update of the search for the missing man in the Forest which after Elara confirmed if the man was Shane.

So, if there is currently a caller looking for him to his Father's number, is it possible that it is the SAR Team member who wants to give him news?

"Hallo?" Elara received her call after Anton handed the item to her.

"Miss Elara?"

"Yes?"

"I'm Darius. SAR Team members who visited you the other day. Sorry to inform you now because yesterday I went out of state on a family business."

"What's up, sir? Has that guy named Shane been found?" serobot Elara direct.

"Yes, he was found after two days you were found. He was critical at the time. Directly to the hospital where he lives."

"In Hamburg."
