Shane still didn't think why Elara could do it like this. Though he was already preparing to meet the man who 'said' had proposed to Elara.
However, when Elara introduced him to Calvin this morning, inevitably Shane chuckled as well. Not only because the proposal was apparently done by a 7-year-old boy, but also because the nature of the boy was indeed very annoying.
"Don't try to get Sister Elara from here, she's my future wife!" calvin challenged Shane with his courage.
That's where Shane realizes that Elara has been working on him. Although finally, Shane must answer all the silly questions Calvin had enough-to be able to take Elara away from the place.
One of the silly questions the boy asked was,
"Have you ever made Sister Elara laugh? If not, then let her be with me here, because here she always makes me happy."
It's not enough if Shane just patted his eel once. Seeing Calvin's behavior made him have to hit his own head repeatedly.
Finally, Calvin's question was answered not by an answer but by a question as well.
"Have you ever made a cowardly Elara brave? I've done it because my Lara used to be afraid of worms, not anymore and you know .. it's all thanks to me," Shane said with her true pride.
After a heated argument with the little boy, Shane finally realizes his words to take Elara to the city today - exactly to her family's residence - to meet her mother.
Yes, however, Calvin insisted when holding Elara's departure, in fact Elara indeed had to come with Shane who had become the winner. Both then and now.
And here they are now. Being in a car driven by Max with Shane and Elara sitting in the back with their own thoughts. Elara was silent, while Shane was still thinking about his little rival who had invited him to argue a few moments before.
"What's the matter, Lara?" shane asked Elara who was watching the road through the car window.
The girl looked over and shook her head briefly. "I'm okay" he replied. Who then took a breath before continuing. "I'm just thinking of the kids. Especially Calvin. Pity him to cry because I'm gone" he said.
"Oh so you're thinking about that kid?"
"Yes, my sudden departure, I should have said goodbye to them before I decided to leave, but I didn't know you came yesterday and took me straight away today" replied Elara.
Shane scratched his temple at a glance. "I'm sorry, for urging you to leave the place immediately" he said slowly.
"Yes, how else. Sooner or later I was going to leave that place, only I didn't expect that it was now that felt sudden. I should have made a good farewell to all my students there."
Shane stroked the back of Elara's hand gently. "We can still go there again later, at least to see developments and visit those you know well. Now it's time for us to finish our personal affairs first" Shane said with a grip that felt increasingly tight on Elara's fingers.
Elara smiled wryly as she nodded her head. Shane was right, it was time for them to take care of everything that was delayed for six months apart.
"Do you like Calvin?"
Elara's giggling now. "Don't tell me you're jealous of her?" she's making fun.
"Yes, I have to admit he's a smart, sweet kid. His face if grown up must be handsome too. Thank goodness he's just a kid, if he's a grown man maybe you'll be interested in him, too" Shane bluntly complained.
Now Elara rolled her eyes and Shane laughed.
"You know, you and Calvin have a similar attitude. Sometimes I see you in him. Jasmine's right if Calv's like you're a mini version."
"Haha." Shane's really stuck up right now. "And it looks like she's a master seducer just like me. I-i-i?" guess it.
Elara nodded. "I called it that" he said frankly.
"It looks like I'll come back and say thank you to Calv."
"Why?" Elara frowned confused.
"Because thanks to her you keep remembering me."
This time Elara did not answer, as if Shane's statement had just been true.
Shane hugged Elara's shoulder and carried the girl's body to her side by side.
"Will your mother accept my arrival today?"
Shane nodded in his position. "Surely," he answered sure.
"Why are you so sure?"
"Because mother asked me to find and bring you to her."
Now Elara looked up to see the handsome face of the man. Their gazes met and Shane reviewed the smile of relief there.
"I love you," Shane said without a sound.
Elara's face immediately warmed up. Maybe her cheeks are blushing by now. He deliberately averted his eyes to escape the snare of the face that Shane gave. Elara slid her side of her face into Shane's chest and hugged the man's waist from the side. I feel very comfortable in that position.
Shane smiled with relief now, because now the girl he loved was already by his side, he would not want to be separated again even though he realized there was one more problem that he would face in front of the mother. Of course, the lie about Elara's pregnancy.
Shane felt a puff of Elara's breath hitting his chest on a regular basis, Shane glanced at his girl at a glance and realized that Elara was asleep. Shane let that go, and their journey is still a long way off. Suppose this trip can be done by plane maybe Shane will choose the transportation to make it easier to bring Elara back but the countryside where Elara teaches there is no runway let alone airport.
Shane had thought of using a helicopter instead, but he knew it would attract the attention of many people in the village so inevitably he followed the rules that should be where he could only use a four-wheeled transfortation that is not too flashy.
The trip, which took almost three hours, made Elara very tired. He can't remember exactly when he started falling asleep in Shane's arms in the car, what is clear now is that he was woken up - exactly - by Shane when they had arrived at a courtyard that Elara believed if they had arrived in the city.
"We're here, Shane?" Elara looked around and realized that now they were not in the courtyard of the Gladwin family mansion.
Shane did not say, he was too focused on watching Max who helped bring down some of Elara's belongings from the car.
"Where are we, Shane?" Elara turned to the tall building in front of her. He knew this was not the apartment building he had lived in while in Hamburg.
"This is my apartment building. Come on!" take Shane later.
"Are we not going to see your mother?" ask Elara.
"Yes, but I see you're so tired so take a few hours off here so you can meet my mom in a fresher state."
Elara understands now and she follows Shane's steps which lead her to the top of the building. Yes, Shane's residence is a penthouse located at the top of the tallest tower of the skyscraper. Elara doesn't know this place because she hasn't been here before, even when she and Shane were doing well before.
"Come in" said Shane, inviting Elara.
Elara went into that luxurious dwelling. He looked and scanned the comfortable surroundings. He can assess his manly male taste from the look of the design of the space in the place. He also knows that Shane is a typical adult man who does not like excess trinkets in his home. Overall, Shane's residence is very calming.
"Do you like it here?" guess Shane while looking at the attitude of Elara who was watching around.
"Yes, it's comfortable here." Elara admitted frankly.
"Goodoo. You can stay here from now on."
Elara clucked, showing her protest of Shane's words.
"We're not married, Shane."
"I know." Shane slashed the distance between them, staring at Elara from her position. "But that doesn't mean you have to stay away from my surveillance anymore" he continued in a thick tone of intimidation.
"I can stay in my old apartment." Elara threw away her face while holding Shane's chest with both hands.
"You forgot you didn't teach at university anymore? I think your old apartment facility has been withdrawn."
And Elara looked up because what Shane said was true. In her heart, Elara thanked Shane for reminding her that she had forgotten that fact.
Shane moved his face as he felt the push of Elara's hand on his chest begin to weaken, wanting to put a kiss on the ranum lips that always made him yearn.
"The stuff I've arranged in-" Max's speech stopped along with Shane's movement which also stopped in front of Elara's lips.
The two grown men stared at each other. Max with a look of hesitation because he did not expect to see the scene of Shane who would kiss Elara. While Shane looked at his assistant with an irritated look because Max interrupted his moment.
"Sorry, Sir. I'll get out of here soon" said self-conscious Max, afraid of being scolded he hurriedly left the apartment unit with a step up.
While Elara herself, very embarrassed because her friendship with Shane must be caught by the lens of Max's eye. Elara's face had even turned red because of this incident.
Shane wants to kiss Elara again and continue the thing that was delayed due to Max's sudden appearance but Elara is reluctant to continue.
"I'm ashamed, Shane."
"Max is gone" Shane said.
"We can't just be here or there will be other mistakes later" Elara warned.
"But, Honey?"
Elara makes a distance between them, then says slowly. "You asked me here to rest, right? I'm going to rest now but can you not bother me?"
And now that Shane could only let out a long sigh, it seemed that he indeed had to be more patient to obtain the entire Elara.
"Well, you can rest in your room."
"My room?"
"Yes, my room is yours too."
"I don't want to, Shane," refused Elara.
"I didn't stay in that room for as long as you lived here. How's it?"
Elara nodded in agreement and applied towards the location of the room that Shane had just pointed out.
"Hais .. Patience Shane, patience ..." Shane massaged his own chest to give the patience boost there.
