26. Not accepting sap

Elara was about to get off Shane's car which drove her to the courtyard of the Apartment building, but Shane hurriedly prevented Elara from leaving immediately.

"I'll drive you to your apartment door, hmm?"

"No, thank you for driving me here."

Shane looked at Elara with a difficult look. But clearly, he did not like the rejection of Elara. The girl was still holding herself back from him.

"May I know why you barred me from your apartment?"

"Shane, I-i-"

"You're hiding something?" guess Shane.

Elara let out a short breath. Shane had claimed himself to belong to the man, so Elara knew that Shane did not like the guardrail that Elara deliberately made between them.

"I'm not hiding anything." Elara grinned.

"Do you live with Kyle there?"

"Oh, Shane! Don't think too far. Kyle and I are just friends. Didn't I agree to try to have a relationship with you, and then what's more?" Elara grunts angrily as Shane continues to assume she has more than just a friend relationship with Kyle.

"OK, sorry, I believe you and Kyle are just friends. I'm your lover. Right?" Shane grinned at the end of his sentence.

"Yes, it's up to you!" Elara rolled her eyeballs.

"Don't defy, or you'll get punished, Lara!"

Elara clucked her tongue. "I'm not dissenting, I'm just-" Elara's words hang in the air because Shane immediately ambushes her with a deep kiss.

At first Elara tried to resist Shane's attack, but in fact she lost and also dissolved in the kiss.

"I miss you "Shane ended her kiss and stared fixedly at Elara. "Can you please don't go home, hmm?" her door.

Elara stroked Shane's jaw gently. "I'm sorry, I can't" he said with a look that went awry.

"Why? You miss me too, don't you?"

Elara nodded, she no longer denied all her feelings for the man. But he had an appointment with Eve and the middle-aged woman had been waiting for him for most of the day in the Apartment.

"Well if you want to know. I have an appointment with Aunty Eve, she's in my apartment so I can't be with you constantly."

"Aunty Eve's? Who's she?"

"Kyle's mom. She was like my own mother. I hope you understand how I am right now, Shane." Elara fused her fingers with Shane's, grasped them briefly and then regained her retreat from the man's presence.

"OKAY. But give me your phone number, I don't want to have a hard time calling my girlfriend when I miss her" Shane said as she thrust her phone at Elara to let the girl type her number there.

Elara said, then grabbed Shane's phone which made her a little stunned when she found the wallpaper there was her face.

"You know him? She's my lover" Shane said, referring to Elara's photo on the phone.

Elara laughed a little. "I know your boyfriend very well, Shane. She is very beautiful" said Elara who praised herself.

Shane laughed. "You're right, he also has a good heart, for that I'm in love with him" he said.

Elara only shook her head to hear the praise from the man.

After putting her number on Shane's phone, Elara immediately got off the man's car, then entered her own apartment building.

Shane notices Elara moving further away. He was happy because Elara began to soften at him, it looked like before.

"I miss you so much, Lara," he murmured. But there was a glimmer of relief in Shane's heart even though he couldn't linger with the girl. He is relieved that he finally managed to convince Elara to go through with their relationship which ...well, Shane knows it will not be easy. Especially to face her mother.

"Mother, when did you get back from Milan?" Shane called Emma on a mobile call.

"What's up, Shane? Have you accepted my mother's offer to marry Stevi?"

Shane snorted softly because he had guessed if calling the mother then he should be ready if what Emma discussed was this.

"I want to talk to my mom directly. So I hope you can arrive in Hamburg soon. Soon," said Shane emphasizing his last word.

"Alright, Shane. I'll be home soon if it's related to your decision."

"Yes, Mom. I had a decision on my mother's offer and my decision was to stay with my choice at the beginning not to marry Stevi" Shane said.

Shane will talk to his mother about his relationship with Elara and she does not accept rejection as her mother also does not accept her refusal to marry Stevi.

"We see who's the loudest here" said Shane, who smiled later.

Shane came out of his study and went down to the ground floor, where he passed Stevi who seemed to be growing his stomach from day to day.

Shane thought for a moment, maybe talking to Stevi didn't hurt. Maybe this woman will think about her words well.

"Are you busy?" shane asked the two-bodied woman.

Stevi was a little surprised because Shane greeted her first. Usually the man looks cold and untouchable, and sometimes Stevi hesitates to say hello to Shane first. But it can not be denied if seeing the face of Shane is able to make his longing for Shawn a little treated because they are quite similar.

"No. What's up, Shane?"

"I want to talk to you." Shane walked up and sat on a nearby sofa.

Stevi followed in Shane's footsteps because she heard that man you were talking to.

"Why? Do you have any answers regarding our relationship?" stevi asked expectantly.

Shane smiled a sarcastic smile. "I think I've been answering it a long time, Stev," he said.

"Yes, your answer used to be rejection, so I guess now-"

"Now it's still the same," Shane's cut left Stevi speechless.

A few moments, silence ruled them. But Stevi was curious enough about what Shane wanted to talk to her about so she opened her voice first.

"So, what do you want to talk to me about?" Somehow Stevi's feelings began to feel bad to see the man in front of him, he guessed something was wrong. Stevi is always worried after Shane goes missing for days in the woods. The man used to be a bitch, but after his departure to the Forest that time-Shane turned increasingly cold-especially to him.

"I want to ask you. Why did you agree to my mother's advice to marry me?"

"Of course it's this baby, Shane!" stevi replied loudly. He seemed to be holding his own stomach.

"But you know for sure that your baby isn't mine."

"Yes, but this belongs to Shawn. He's your brother, isn't he? What's wrong with you taking responsibility for your dead sister, Shane!"

Now Shane is laughing. "Do you think I'd accept the sap from the fruit my brother enjoys?" tanyanya sarcasm.

"But, Shane ..we can start everything from scratch. Isn't my baby also a descendant of the Gladwin family?"

"Is there any evidence?" Shane challenged Stevi.

"What do you mean, Shane? Are you accusing me of playing with someone other than Shawn?" stevi asked. His face was flushed even standing up from his seat now.

"I'm not accusing. But it might happen. I think only a woman who has no self-esteem will remain in this residence despite the fact that I have rejected you many times!" Shane.

Stevi then slapped a punch to Shane's face and was not pushed aside by the man in the slightest. Shane knows his words are outrageous, but that's the truth. Isn't Shawn dead? So Stevi's whereabouts at Gladwin's residence is completely inappropriate, although she reasoned that the child she was carrying was Shawn's.

Stevi himself-gaze at his hand which seemed to tremble shortly after he slapped Shane. He did not expect to have done that and it seems that Shane was deliberately fishing for him.

"I've made up my mind" said Shane, pausing his sentence for a moment. "I think my condition has recovered enough, so .. if you don't leave the Gladwin residence, then I'll leave here" he concluded.

"Mirhane?" Stevi looked at Shane with an incredulous look.

"Why? You want to complain to my mom? Please! I called my mom and I'll talk to her about this. Although I'm the youngest mother, but I'm not a child!" shane said later.

Stevi nodded, with tears melting on her cheeks. "Well, if you want to get out of this house, go ahead! But I won't leave the Gladwin residence before my son gets clarity" he said.

Shane grinned. "Basic of no shame!" cynically. Then really galloping to pack his things.

"Mane!"

The man stopped the move because of Stevi's call.

"Are you like this because you already have a lover?" ask Stevi. This is what he's been thinking since Shane seemed busy himself not even taking care of work.

Shane only thinned his lips but had no interest in answering the woman's question.
