32. Visiting and Applying

As soon as Elara from the Gladwin residence, Stevi smiled in satisfaction and cheered triumphantly in her heart. He then approached Emma who looked restless in the living room.

"Where is Shane, mom?" ask the two-bodied woman.

"She's after Elara" complained Emma with a tongue-tie.

"Huh, I'm sure that the baby she's carrying isn't Shane's kid."

"Where are you sure?"

"I can see her closeness to Kyle and my belief is that even if Ela is pregnant then it must be Kyle's flesh blood."

Emma was peeking at Stevi who was beginning to sit back with the magazine on her lap.

"Said Shane they're best friends, right?"

"Already, mother. Your decision to reject it was right. You know, there's no friendly relationship between a girl and a boy. It's bullshitttt," Stevi replied with a sneer.

Emma nodded. Since before Elara came, Stevi had indeed told her that Shane's choice girl must not be a woman from a good class. Emma doesn't really care about other people, but Stevi convinces Emma that she's better than Shane's girlfriend. And because of Emma's great trust in Stevi-he believed in her more than Shane's new girlfriend.

Now, as he had seen and judged the girl of his son's choice, he, plus a remark from Stevi earlier - who said that if Elara was very close to Kyle - it actually made Emma influenced that Elara only intended to use Shane who was actually not the biological father of the baby that Elara conceived.

Without Emma knowing, that actually Elara did not contain anyone's seeds because it was just a trick Shane just to get blessing, but in fact Emma even insulted Elara like this.

"So, when are you going to give birth, Stev?"

"First of next month, mom. I'm already impatient. Surely my son will be similar to Shane. It's Shawn's son, but Shane and Shawn have similar faces, don't they?"

Emma nodded and smiled happily at Stevi's words, she was also already impatient to pet her grandson.

Because of her stubbornness, Shane managed to catch up to Elara who just left from dinner at the Gladwin residence because of Emma's insults to him.

Now both are in the same car in a closed mouth and silent condition that dominates the situation.

Elara must admit that she cannot deny Shane's presence in her life. Even though he was already in love with the man, but the insults from Emma made him feel he did not have self-esteem. Although he knew it was not as good as that, but he still had the dignity not to be trampled by the wealthy Shane family.

"Mara ..."

After a long silence, Shane finally managed to find his voice back that previously seemed lost due to the circumstances that had just happened earlier.

"I'm sorry for my mother's attitude. I hope you're still willing to be my wife even without my mother's blessing."

Hearing that Elara suddenly turned to Shane who seemed to focus on driving the car.

"I can't get married without blessing" replied Elara coldly.

"So, are you willing to give up on our relationship because of that blessing? Are you gonna leave me?" shane Lirih.

"I would probably choose to leave you instead of being with you but my pride was trampled on!" ketus Elara's.

"Darling, is this just your fight for us? I thought you'd insist like me that you'd always fight for you even if my mom fought a thousand times."

Elara was silent, she lost her word because of Shane's words just now.

"Dear, Lara. We can start everything from the beginning. We build our homes with or without my mother's blessing. I'm sure everything will be fine as long as we still have the same feelings of love."

"I can't Shane. My family won't accept any of this anyway. I'm sure of it!"

Shane was frustrated in his position. His grip on the steering wheel of the car felt increasingly tight.

"Let me down in front of the apartment building. Don't come down and take me to the door."

"Darling, don't keep your distance from me. I could be destroyed without you" asked Shane with a face of compassion.

Elara looked up, she threw her eyes on the street and she was not joking with her disappointment.

Shane was forced to stop on the shoulder of the road when the Elara Apartment building was seen. He intended to open the car door for Elara, but the girl immediately shuffled out as soon as the car just stopped.

"Well!" Shane pursues Elara's steps, but not once does the girl look back.

With a raging heart, Shane finally walked back to his car.

Without Shane ever knowing, Elara stared at the man's limp and decaying back. Elara resumed her steps when she knew Shane was not going after her.

Shane doesn't want to chase Elara's steps because he will give the girl time to think. Shane desperately wants to force Elara to stay with him, but he finds out that Elara hates being forced.

This time Shane let Elara, let the girl think about their relationship which Shane hopes Elara will not let go because of this problem.

Elara gets a call from her family. Upon receiving the video call, Elara was surprised to find Kyle at her parents' home in Indonesia.

Everyone greeted Elara boisterously there. There is a father, mother and her two sisters. Kyle with his shady face waved at the camera where Elara was glued in response to the video call.

"Kyle's there, Dad?" elara asked the father who was holding the phone.

"Yes, he visited us here. Why don't you come?" ask Anton with that call.

"Ela's so busy, Ela can't go back there. Sorry, Dad."

"It's okay. Coincidentally without you here, Kyle also kept visiting us. Look, he's brought a lot of it."

"Resolution?" repeat Elara with a frowning forehead.

"Yes. Didn't Kyle tell you that his goal was to come here to propose to you?"

Elara's heart beats twice as fast. He didn't think Kyle would do this. Didn't Kyle say there was business in Indonesia? Elara thinks Kyle's visit to her parents' house just stopped by because she happened to be in Elara's home country.

"Dad, can Ela talk to Kyle?"

"Yes of course." Anton glances at his daughter, then hands the phone still in the call to Kyle who is talking to his youngest sister Elara on a sofa.

"Kyle?"

"What's up, Ela?"

"Are you crazy? You proposed to both my parents? You even brought a hand. What does this mean?"

Kyle smiled there. "Ela, I think I've given you a long time to have a lover. When I don't think you have it and I think only I can take care of you, then it won't be difficult for us. We're used to being together and I have so much love for you. You know, my mother also supported this intention, so I decided to make it happen."

Elara breathed with all her chest. "Kyle .. shouldn't you ask me first" protested Elara.

"So, did you accept me? Now I'm asking you?"

"Oh my ..." Elara massaged the base of her nose which was painful. The problem with Shane is not finished yet why now Kyle makes a tantrum by proposing to his family.

"You don't want to? I'll wait for your answer until you say yes" Kyle said there, sounding very understanding.
