Shane actually helped to treat the wounds on Elara's face to the end, so he helped apply a kind of gel on some other parts of the wound such as on the arms, legs and shoulders of the girl.
"Shane, thank you. I'll continue on my own."
"What's wrong, tell me again where the wound is, let me help you apply the medicine."
"No, your help is more than enough."
"Lara, I don't want to help you in half. But please if you want to treat it yourself ..." Shane gave the medicine to Elara and the girl greeted her with trembling hands.
Shane could see that, so he remembered something.
"Lara, I'm sorry I offered it late. I think you're hungry, I have food stocks but I haven't cooked them yet. You can fill your stomach with biscuits or snacks that I bring."
Shane leaned slightly to reach the location of his backpack which turned out to be behind the body of Elara who was sitting. That position made the two of them become very close, hastily Elara threw away her gaze to make Shane cleared her throat briefly.
"Here, eat first, you can continue to treat your wounds later."
Elara nodded obediently, after all she did not have much energy to argue with Shane. Although the truth is that wounds that have not been treated at this time are the widest than other wounds. It was on the surface of her stomach skin, that's why Elara was hesitant if Shane insisted on continuing to treat it because the position of the other wound was in a part that the man should not have seen.
Elara enjoys the biscuits as Shane returns to voice.
"I'll make a bonfire so you don't get cold anymore and ..." Shane cleared his throat for a moment. "If you want, you can replace your wet clothes with mine," he bargained seriously.
Feeling no other choice, Elara finally agreed to the offer that Shane gave. He enjoys a few pieces of biscuits and then walks into the tent after getting a change of clothes from Shane.
A black oversize shirt is now attached to Elara's body, she also wears Shane's shorts. Although it looks like a joke on his body but it is much better because it can cover some parts of his body that do not use dal@man.
Actually Elara felt uncomfortable with this, but how else all her clothes were wet outside and inside.
On that occasion, Elara also took the time to treat her stomach wound that she had not been able to treat.
Elara sat back in front of the tent and saw a deft-looking Shane burning a fish and next to her she also made some kind of soup in a small pot.
"You seem to fit my shirt" Shane told Elara, who had changed. The man smiled wryly making Elara return his smile.
"Ehm, thanks."
"You've said a lot of thanks, Lara."
Elara looked down while smacking her smile. I don't know why he could feel that Shane was such a good person. I don't know if it's just his feelings.
"You must be hungry, let's eat." Suddenly Shane was sitting next to him, throwing out a bowl of soup for Elara to try.
Just now Elara wanted to say thank you but Shane seemed to know if the girl wanted to say the same word again.
"If you really want to thank me, don't say the same words but prove them by an act."
"You want me to repay all your kindness, do you?" Elara tried to guess.
"Yes." Yeah."
Elara is stunned by Shane's outspoken attitude of wanting to be rewarded for her kindness with an action. But, what deeds should Elara do to repay this man's kindness?
Shane laughed softly. This made Elara astonished. What's so funny?
"Is something funny?" elara asked her to voice her confusion.
"You look funny when you think so."
Elara so remember if Kyle also often said the same thing to her. Ah, talking about Kyle should be Elara telling her best friend, right? Or the news of the plane crash that hit him may have reached his parents in Indonesia? Yeah, maybe Elara should also tell Dad and Mom there.
"Tell me what should I do to repay your kindness? I'll do it, but can you help me out more later?"
Shane laughed again, because he could judge the innocence of the girl he was currently helping. The man finally nodded his head in response to Elara's words.
"really? You promise to help me again?" Elara intends to ask Shane for help to give her temporary shelter in the man's tent, she also wants to ask Shane for help to help her inform her family.
"I told you I'm not gonna help you half-and-half."
"Well, what should I do to repay your kindness today?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing?" Elara nodded at hearing that.
"I just said it when I said it earlier. I am sincere in helping you today. I couldn't possibly let someone else die when I clearly saw him still breathing and getting stuck in a tree branch near the river."
Elara smiled with Shane's statement. He could see the sincerity and earnestness of the man when he said it. Shane does not lie and Elara knows that Shane is the man who really intends to help her.
"May all your business be watered down, Shane."
"Yes, I hope."
"Without?"
"Hmm?" Elara looked at the man who called her.
"Are you the victim of a plane crash that's being preached?"
"You know that?"
"Sure, I heard the news before I got separated from my friends here."
"You mean, you're not camping alone, but with your friends and you're separated?"
Shane nodded. "To be honest, I broke away from them" he said.
"Why?"
"nothing. I just want to be alone."
"Then does my presence bother you?"
Shane smiled slightly. "Yes, of course," he said.
"Sorry, I-i-"
"But you never forced me to help you, so don't apologize because it's not your fault, Lara."
"What's wrong, I'm still going to apologize for disturbing your loneliness."
Shane looked at Elara with a difficult gaze Elara explained her meaning.
"Ah yes, you haven't answered my question. Are you one of the victims of that plane?"
Elara nodded. "Can you lend me a cell phone so I can call my family to say I'm still alive?"
"of course. But in the woods this is a very difficult signal."
"Yes, that's for sure."
"Just relax, I'll take you to a slightly open place with trees that are not too lush. Or if necessary, I'll be able to climb a tree to inform your family, but make sure your condition is better first, then we can move to look for cell phone signals."
"Thank you, Shane. You're very kind. I don't care if you forbid me from saying that, but I'll keep saying it to you."
Unknowingly both of them had already consumed their respective food. Haripun is getting dark. Elara rushed into the tent but suddenly there was a question in her head when she had just stretched her body there.
Finally Elara returned to the tent and went out of there. He saw Shane still sitting in front of the campfire.
"Where are you sleeping?" ask Elara. Yes, that's the question that had swirled in his head in the last few minutes.
"Less only one, Lara."
"Then?"
"Of course I sleep here" said Shane calmly.
Hearing that was precisely Elara who felt guilty.
"Shane, this is a real forest. You can be eaten by a wild animal. Go into the tent. I'll share the place with you..." Elara realized her mistake of vocabulary and hurriedly corrected it."No, no. I mean, I took your place so let's put it together" she explained.
Shane thinned his lips. "Are you seriously?" the question is quite surprised.
"I'm a man and you're a girl. We-we're-"
"Nothing while doing nothing" cut Elara quickly.
"Are you sure I won't do anything to you?" ask Shane to make sure.
Elara chuckled briefly. "I'm sure. My face is so disgusting you can't have the taste to touch me" she licked.
Shane laughed discordantly, but a moment later he came back into words.
"Well, let's prove your words are true or not" Shane said with a faint smile.
