46. Be My Wife

The news about Elara and Shane's marriage was deliberately not Elara told Kyle in Germany. He has had little communication with the man since Kyle proposed to him last time.

Elara seems to deliberately make invisible bulkhead between the two. Even he did intend to keep this marriage a secret, because Elara did not want Stevi also know about the happy plan he carried with Shane.

If Kyle knew, Stevi would automatically know. Aren't they cousins?

And yet, Stevi is one of those people from Shane's past who ends up in a bad relationship. Although in reality Shane and Stevi never had a special relationship, but for Elara still they had been almost married.

Elara only avoids unwanted things if Stevi finds out all this. And for the sake of the smooth procession of the marriage, Elara chose to keep her marriage with Shane from Kyle and Stevi.

And fortunately, Shane supported Elara's decision. He thought the same thing. Wherever possible Stevi can do anything to ruin their marriage plans because Shane believes that the woman has a grudge against him for opening up his lie regarding the DNA test of Stevi's daughter.

The application event officially passed him days ago. Now Elara and Shane's status has changed to become engaged. They are also waiting for the arrival of Emma who said she would follow to attend her second wedding which will first take place in Indonesia.

Currently, Shane is still staying at the Hotel and intends to pick up her mother at the airport alone, as she must follow a tradition in which she and Elara are forbidden to meet until their wedding day is soon.

Honestly, Shane objected to it, but anyway he had to live the thing that had been ordered to him that was not to see Elara before their marriage.

"Mother ..." Shane is relieved to find his mother who arrived safely in Indonesia. Emma did not come alone. Max and Jose were with him.

"You came alone? Where's your future wife?" ask Emma astonished.

"Ehm, we haven't been able to meet until the wedding day. That's the deal."

And Emma gave me an amused smile when she heard it. "Yes, I think it's pretty good" he said, mocking Shane.

Shane clucked his tongue. "I haven't seen Elara in two days and yes .. it's quite a torture for me" she replied with a laugh at the end of the sentence.

Shane looked at his assistant who was accompanying the arrival of the mother. Max looked like his mother's bodyguard and he mocked Emma with two men behind the middle-aged woman.

"Mother is like a mobster with an aide" Shane and Emma slapped her son's arm.

"You're! They're not aides but mother's assistants!"

"But they can also fight to escort the mother if she wants to" Shane replied.

And they exchanged jokes with each other. It's been a while since they've been chatting like this. Shane forgot the last time he and his mother laughed because of silly things, their respective busyness actually demanded the two to be less caring for each other.

Shane takes his mother to the same hotel he lives in. He rented a room to Emma. And ask Max and Jose to book their own room.

"If you want to meet Elara's family then I'll take you there after you feel no longer tired." Shane spoke as he drove Emma to the doorstep of the woman's room.

Emma shook her head instead, as a gesture of rejection at her son's offer.

"Why? I'll take you mother." Shane looked convincing.

"You said you couldn't see Lara until your wedding day, right? So, do not try to find opportunities by bringing mother. I'll be there later, but not with you" sissed Emma who could read Shane's heart out of his invitation.

And Shane could only put up a grin when his plan to see Elara at a glance did not work. In fact, if he drove Emma to the residence of his future wife then he had a reason to meet Elara even though it was just a glance, unfortunately Emma was already in the knowledge of his actions.

"Mom sure you want to go there yourself? Don't I want to be with you?"

Emma rolled her eyeballs now. "No. I'll be there with Jose anyway. And Max will be watching you here so that you don't intend to follow Mom there" she lapsed.

Shane kept it long, inevitably he had to obey in the end. Soon, the man returned to his own room.

Shane picks up the phone on the nightstand, looking at the phone wallpaper he never changed - which shows the pretty face of his girl who will soon be his wife.

"Be my wife ... in a moment," the man murmured while stroking Elara's face in the photo, as if the picture was real.

Nothing could compensate for the smile that Shane was carrying today. His face looks crisp. With a white tuxedo suit clad in his dashing body. Many times the man has set himself in front of a mirror. Occasionally justifies the actual hairstyle has been combed neatly. Do not forget to spray perfume that makes his body smell masculine.

A sound of knocking resuscitated Shane from the situation. He was rushing to open the door.

"Are you ready?"

Shane nodded steadily when he found Emma picking him up in the hotel room. They will soon be heading to Elara's residence for a marriage and a sacred promise that will continue to bind Elara in a strong relationship with Shane.

Today finally arrives, the day that Shane's longing will settle where it belongs. The day that Shane has been waiting for and counting down every day. The day he will marry the girl he loves.

Never once in his life would Shane feel so excited, happy, and nervous at the same time - like today. But now, he knows enough and can feel how it feels, how the atmosphere, and how he will slowly pass through the thrilling moment.

Arriving at the Elara residence, Shane can see the crowd and hustle there. The show has not started yet, they are waiting for his presence and that is what makes Shane more nervous because he realizes that he is the most awaited presence.

"Thank God you've come" Anton chirped when he found his future son-in-law who finally arrived. Shane was less than twenty-five minutes late.

"I'm sorry, the streets are really stuck" Shane replied. If to be honest, he himself was very impatient to arrive but would like how else, the condition of the streets was beyond his prediction. He left an hour earlier than the appointed hour.

"Okay, we'll just start." Anton tells Shane and is taken in by the man.

Saka leads Shane to a place where he will recite the sacred pledge. Shane hasn't seen his future wife there. Elara will be reunited with him when Shane has finished his wedding vows.

A burning feeling in Shane's heart. Not very long. Soon, that was how her mind euphoricized.

And when the promise was said from Shane's lips, he could see if the girl who had become his woman was already standing not far from him.

In a distance that is not far and not close, Shane said the word without sound.

"Wiffey ..."

And Elara responded with a happy smile.
