ELARA: FATED TO LOVE

ELARA: FATED TO LOVE
3. Discovered

With barely any energy left, plus hunger and thirst, Elara began to squat down to fetch water in the river.

Elara was a little stunned when she saw the shadow of herself through the reflection that appeared on the surface of the water.

Apparently true, some of Elara's face looks terrible with the burns she suffered. The wound is near the temple to the end of his eye with a length of about fifteen centimeters.

Unknowingly, Elara reflexes want to touch a glimpse at the wound, but she should use the hand as self-defense so that her body does not fall into the river.

Unfortunately, due to carelessness and being driven by reflexes to touch the wound, Elara was mired.

Elara fell more and more into the rushing stream - where she wanted to fetch water to quench her thirst. The girl was dragged by the current until it was tossed around in a wave of water that took her somewhere and how many meters away.

Elara failed to return to the place where she should have been able to get her to first aid. The plan is only a plan because Elara can not ask for help to anyone else but resigned to go with the flow.

Until at last, Elara's body was caught near the trees whose branches slightly jutted down the stream. Elara seemed unconscious.

While on the other hand, the search carried out for the incident of the plane crash has found several fatalities that would have been lifeless.

Several names have been reported dead and several others are missing, including Elara whose body has yet to be found.

Kyle was frustrated when he heard that Elara could not be found alive or dead.

Eve-mother Kyle-trys to calm her son who seems not okay after hearing the news.

"Is there hope, Mom?"

"We must continue to pray and wait for news, may there be a miracle for Elara."

...***...

Elara coughed while pulling so much water out of her mouth. He is conscious and tries to control the situation. As his eyelids widened, he found a young man sitting near him.

"Ah, finally ..." The man's voice sounded full of relief when he found Elara who was finally conscious.

Elara blinked for a moment, her breathing seemed to be panting and staring at the man's greenish-eyed bead in front of her.

"I where?" Elara finally made a hoarse voice, her throat like choking and feeling very dry.

The young man helped Elara to sit down, leaning the girl against a nearby tree trunk.

"Now we are in the forest. I found you stuck in a tree branch near the river," said the man as he leaned his chin toward the river.

Elara could not see the river, only she could still hear the rushing sound of running water. It seems that the distance of the river meant by the man is indeed not too far from his position. Finally Elara could only faintly nod in response to the man's words.

"Do you need anything?"

"I'm so thirsty, do you have any water?"

Elara spoke in a very slow voice but was still caught by the man's sense of hearing.

"Yes, of course." The man held out a drink to Elara and the girl received it with a sparkling face. Elara felt she had not gulped for weeks, so she drank hurriedly and caused the water to spill slightly over both ends of her lips.

"You can drink it slowly."

Elara grimaced at the man, then handed over the drinking place that was almost spent by Elara all.

"Sorry, I'm draining your water."

The man nodded briefly, as if the actions of Elara who drained her water had no impact.

"I still have a lot," he said in response. "Are you better?" tanyanya.

"I'm fine."

"All right, I'm Shane. I was hiking and putting up camp tents around here and accidentally found you."

"Thank, Shane." Elara smiled slightly, she felt much better than at the beginning.

"Hmm, and you?" The man named Shane asked Elara's name.

"I ..." Elara seems hesitant to tell her true identity, she has a reason to protect herself against strangers even though Shane is the man who helped her.

"More." Finally Elara answered without saying her real name.

"All right, Lara." Shane thinned his lips, seemingly thinking for a moment. "I see your condition is not okay. Would you like to go to my tent? There I have medicine to treat your wounds," he said.

Elara immediately remembered the wound on her face that she had witnessed through the reflection of river water. That means now Shane is looking at his horrible face.

Because Elara was silent, Shane finally spoke again.

"I don't accept your refusal, because I think you really need help. Your clothes are wet too, I think you have a fever right now. Are you dizzy?"

Elara nodded hesitantly, on the one hand she did not want to trouble Shane, and on the other hand she was also afraid of this foreign man.

Reading Elara's passion, Shane revealed a faint smile.

Elara nodded back vaguely.

"I'm not going to hurt you. Do you think I'm the guy who's gonna skin you and take all the organs in your body?" claw Shane with his signature smile. "If that's my intention, then I'll make sure you can't talk to me at the moment" he said later.

Elara did not respond, she knew the man's words only intended to mark her. However, a moment later Elara finally nodded her head at the sign of agreeing to go to the man's tent.

Elara can walk with Shane's help. Tried while being carried away by the man.

"You won't be able to get past the roots of that tree" Shane said pointing towards the enormous tree. The roots spread everywhere with a diameter that also looks gallant.

"So?" Elara seemed to shrivel at the terrain she had to pass through in a weak body condition like this.

"Get on my back, I'll carry you."

"But?"

Shane immediately took a position to turn his back on Elara's body, then crouched down slightly to give Elara access up her back.

"Come on!"

With hesitation Elara climbed onto the wide back belonging to the man and ...

Hap.

Once the movement made Shane can help Elara in a comfortable position there.

"This is better, isn't it?"

Elara's head that was on the man's shoulders also nodded, this was indeed much better and also convenient.

Walking for about ten minutes, they finally arrived at the man's camping tent.

"You're here alone?" ask Elara.

"Hm."

"I thought there would be your friends."

"I used to climb with them, but not this time."

Elara salutes enough with Shane's courage to spend the night in the woods alone. Maybe this is also not the first time Shane camped like this so he did not seem amateur at all in the face of the rugged terrain though.

Shane opened the tent and lowered Elara's body slowly.

"The medicine box is inside. I'll take it. Sit down first."

Elara according to, it feels like her bones were all crushed. Elara also felt very tired and certainly hungry.

Shane came back with his medicine box. It looked quite complete for the size of an ordinary medicine box. It seemed that the man had purposely filled it with other medicines that might be needed like this moment.

"I can do it myself." Elara puts up her hand, about to ask Shane for the medicine box.

"Let me treat you."

"No, the wound looks so disgusting."

Shane laughed softly. "I know all the wounds are like that" he said.

"Then let me just do it."

"No, you can't treat it yourself. I'll help you. I forced this time."

Finally Elara resigned in the help of the green-eyed man.

Shane treated Elara painstakingly and carefully. While the girl seemed to grimace a few times.

"Am I being too hard?"

"No, but the antiseptic was sore on my skin."

Shane smiled slightly. "Hold on a little bit, it helps clean your wounds because there may be a lot of germs that are already lodged there" he licked.

Elara smiled, but Shane also had a sense of humor because the man had tried to mark her several times. Unlike his face that seems cold and indifferent, it turns out Shane is quite fun as a interlocutor.

"Thank, Shane. I don't know if you're not helping me."

"It's okay, maybe I'm destined to be your helper" the man replied.
