27. A quarrel

Stevi moved agitatedly, pacing back and forth in the room he occupied in the Gladwin family residence. Sometimes the woman also nibbles her own nails because she feels bad. The thing that makes Stevi this seal is about Shane who has begun to rebel.

From the beginning, Stevi found out that Shane did not approve of their marriage offer. In fact, Stevi thought Shane would be interested in her beauty. In fact, he was too confident. Her pregnancy could not make Shane think twice about the offer.

Indeed, the boy is not Shane's flesh, even they have never been involved in any relationship other than just knowing because Stevi had dated Shawn-sister Shane. Stevi wants Shane to marry her. He also gave Shane a long time to think about it.

"Shane would rather go, than agree to marry me. Goddamnit!" hiss Stevi. He had thought that soon she would be the official mistress of the house when Shane married her, in fact, the hope was only wishful thinking because until now Shane had never changed his decision.

"I'm going to re-influence my mother" Stevi says. In fact she already called Emma-mother Shane-as mother. "Until any time I won't leave this Mansion," he continued determinedly.

A sneaky smile rose on Stevi's lips, where she wanted to leave all this for granted, where she had already lived a good life in the Gladwin residence, even if perhaps she wanted to arrange everything there.

"Shane, you'll be mine!"

Early in the morning, Shane had driven to the Elara Apartment building from where he lived now which also moved to an Apartment.

Shane knows, Elara will certainly not agree about her who will continue one roof with Stevi, although in the large Mansion he rarely interacts with his late sister's ex-boyfriend.

Shane arrives at the Elara Apartment building, intending to take the girl to work. Shane will start to be protective now considering Elara is her lover. Nor does he want if Elara interacts too often with Kyle even though Elara says if they are only good friends.

When Shane had just opened his seatbelt in the basement of the building, his eyes accidentally caught a girl he loved so much. Elara looks fresh out of the building area with a middle-aged woman, even a man that Shane recognizes if it is Kyle.

"The woman must be Kyle's mother that Elara told me about," Shane's inner.

At first, Shane shuts up in his car, noticing the interaction of the three. They seemed to be chatting familiarly and occasionally laughing. I don't know what they discussed, it feels like Shane wants to go there, but he still refrains so that Kyle doesn't consider it breng when the man knows if he is Stevi's husband.

Although this misunderstanding is detrimental to Shane, and he wants to explain everything immediately, but he still appreciates Elara who is not ready to explain everything to Kyle - including regarding the relationship between the two.

"Darling?"

Elara holds her chest at a glance when she finds Shane touching her shoulder when Kyle's car just came out of the basement area.

"Jeez, Shane. You surprised me," said Elara frankly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that."

Shane picks up Elara's fingers and takes her girl to enter the car.

"Why didn't you tell me to come here, thankfully I didn't go with Kyle's car, either" Elara said as she fitted her seatbelt. He spoke without looking at Shane, while the man stared at him intensely from his position behind the wheel.

"Is something wrong?" ask Elara because Shane just shut up without poking her words.

"I want Kyle to know about our relationship, Lara."

Elara fell silent. I don't know what he's thinking right now.

"For what?" ask Elara at last.

"For him to know the limits and remember that you are my lover."

"Shane, I don't think it matters much."

Shane started the car. "That's important to me, I don't like the friendship between two people of the opposite sex" he said.

All right, Elara catches that Shane is jealous of Kyle back here.

"You jealous? Kyle's just my friend and-"

"Of course, I hope you want to think about how I feel that you don't like your closeness."

Elara clucked her tongue. "I can't stay away from my best friend just because I have a boyfriend. If you want me to value our relationship, then you should also value the friendly relationship between me and Kyle" he said.

Shane took a deep breath, then glanced at Elara at a glance who seemed less than happy because of her previous statement.

"I'm not saying you should stay away from Kyle, Lara" the man said calmly.

But apparently, Elara was already upset because of this talk. "Just the same. From the sentence you just meant that, right?" concluded.

"Just keep your distance. Can't it?" Shane is still trying to negotiate.

"I don't like being restricted, Shane."

Shane gulped a rough saliva. "I'm not limiting you, honey," he said half annoyed. "I just want you to respect me" he later said.

"I'm losing my mood." Elara threw a glance at the street through the car window.

Shane's groaning in frustration now.

"Well, I just wanted to tell Kyle that we have a relationship. I'd say I'm not Stevi's husband. And I'm not gonna limit your friendship, honey."

The stubborn Elara and the hard Shane hold back his jealousy.

For Elara, she couldn't stay away from Kyle just because of Shane, but for Shane their relationship was very close and she didn't like it either.

"As far as you go" said Elara lazily.

I don't know why they had to argue so early. Shane did not want their meeting to be a quarrel.

Emma's return to her Mansion, Stevi greeted with a spring. He even cooked specially to welcome the middle-aged woman. Stevi does have skills in the field of cooking, he is a fairly reliable culinary graduate and once occupied a position as one of the chefs that should be reckoned with his name. Stevi began to vacuum from her job due to her growing pregnancy.

"Mother, you're finally home." Stevi kissed Emma's cheeks left-right and displayed her best smile. He can't wait to influence Emma on Shane's decision.

"Yes, do you miss me?" ask Emma, who loves Stevi like her own daughter.

"Of course, Mother. I even cook for you. Come on!" Stevi slightly pulled Emma's hand towards the large dining table in the dining room.

"Well, you're a good wife-to-be. Shane won't regret marrying you" said Emma praising Stevi's diligent and deft attitude in taking care of the household and the contents of the dinner table.

"Mother is overreacting," Stevi chuckled.

"You cook a lot? Even you're in a big pregnancy, isn't this bothering you?"

"No, Mother. It's all special for mom."

"Ah, thank you." Emma slightly stroked Stevi's face warmly, until finally, she realized that Shane had not yet welcomed her return. "Where's Shane? Does he not want to welcome his mother home?" tanyanya.

As Stevi fell silent, she hurriedly put on a sad face before Emma.

"Mother, Shane hasn't been home in two days. It seems like it's a protest from him about the marriage."

Emma growled low, but she soon came home too because of the request of her son.

"How do I want to get Shane's heart if there's some distance between us" Stevi complained as if talking to himself but he deliberately did it to be heard by Emma.

"Calm down, Stevi! Mom's gonna talk to Shane so he's not like a teenage boy who likes to get out of the house" Emma says, trying to calm Stevi down.
