Elara comes out of the bathroom when she hears Shane having a conversation over a cellular connection. I don't know who Shane was calling, which Elara obviously heard Shane angry there.
As Elara returned to the man's presence in her home clothes, Shane immediately disconnected her call. Previously, Elara did say goodbye to clean up because she had just returned to teach when Shane was already in his residence.
"Who's the fucking guy you called?" ask Elara flat.
Shane takes a position next to Elara and takes over the small towel Elara uses to dry her hair. Elara refuses Shane's help but the man gives an eye gesture that Elara knows means if Shane doesn't want to be rejected.
Elara let Shane help her dry her hair with that little towel. He enjoyed Shane's light massage which was also done simultaneously while doing the activity.
"You don't want to tell me who the fuck you called?" ask Elara again.
"Why do you call him an unlucky fellow?" shane's Response.
"Because I heard a couple of times when you said he was fucking," Elara said honestly from her position that turned her back to Shane.
Shane continued his massage on Elara's head. "That's Max, my assistant. I'm just mad at him because his job isn't working" he said.
Elara slightly tilted her head to catch a glimpse of Shane. "You want to get old fast with anger?" clawed.
"No, I don't want to age if I'm not with you."
Elara held back amusedly, it turned out that Shane had not changed either. Still the big woo.
"Therefore, do not often get angry," said Elara warned.
"I was mad at Max because he didn't tell me about the man who proposed to you. Didn't I pay him to look after you from afar, then how come when I asked him he said he didn't know about it. He also said he never saw you close to any man. It's not wrong, if I get mad at him when such an important thing is missed by him?"
Elara thins lips. He feels guilty for Max, because Elara's previous speech - which said of the proposal - actually made Shane's assistant affected.
"It looks like my hair is starting to dry. Thank you, Shane."
Elara wanted to move but Shane held her wrist while looking up at her.
"Mom wants to see you."
Suddenly, Elara's body stiffened.
"Mother .. would like to apologize to you."
Now Elara turned to Shane and the man's gaze seemed to convince Elara that everything she said was the truth.
"You want to, right?" ask Shane again. "You're going to forgive mom, right? Although later mom will say it directly but I represent it first. Please, forgive my mother, for .. us."
And the end of Shane's sentence saying 'for us' was the thing that made Elara's heart beat.
"Have you forgotten that I said someone proposed to me?" hiss Elara.
"i know's. But I don't care. From the beginning, you are mine, then I will ask you back to me."
"Mirh ..."
"Don't make it harder for me again, Lara. Can't you say yes to make me calm down? It was not enough during these six months that we were both tormented by distance and separation. So please, don't test me again," please Shane make Elara shut up.
Yes, indeed Elara intends to test Shane only about his speech that says about the proposal from another man. What Elara means here is of course the proposal from the boy - Calvin - and Elara does intend to prank Shane alone, of course, apparently the man took everything seriously to the point of scolding Max who did not give any info related to this. Obviously, Elara was never close to any man while teaching in the village.
"On Stevi?" ask Elara carefully.
"He's gone from my family's house."
"How can you?" Elara was quite surprised by this.
Shane's pulling a shoulder. "That's what it's supposed to be. Stevi gave birth to her daughter and it wasn't my sister's. From then on, she asked him to leave because he had cheated on my mother."
Elara nodded her head. He has understood the situation and knows why Shane is only now seeing him again even though this man says that he has known of Elara's whereabouts since the two days of her disappearance.
"You want to, right?" ask Shane who is now standing in front of Elara.
"Yes" replied the girl with a faint smile.
Shane's eyelids widened hearing him. "Thank you, thank you" he said, showering a kiss on Elara's palm that he still held.
...***...
Elara doesn't feel good if Shane continues to be in her dwelling. After lunch with Shane who enjoyed his cooking, Elara asked the man to leave immediately.
However, Elara was reminded how Shane could initially be and enter the residence and Shane's answer was enough to make Elara flabbergasted.
"I can do anything I want."
And Elara clucked her tongue when she heard it.
Shane chuckles. "I met the head of the foundation in this village. I told you I was your fiancee and wanted to surprise you with my arrival."
"And the head of the foundation just believes it?" ask Elara.
"Of course I had to convince him first, and I succeeded." Shane slashed the distance between them and Elara could already guess what Shane was going to do now.
"No, Shane."
Shane clucked as Elara refused him who wanted to kiss the girl. Elara even rewinded her face so that they would come back a distance.
"You've done it before and you're not anymore."
"Once again. After that I left."
Elara cleared a glance. "No, Shane. This is where I teach so don't do it again" he said.
"It's just the two of us. And this isn't a classroom."
"Don't look for excuses. That's my decision."
Shane sighed softly. "alright. I accept your decision," he said with a faint smile. He understood the situation of Elara as a teacher who should not do that in the scope of work.
"Where were you staying here?" ask Elara.
"There's a very simple inn that I rented. It's not too far from here."
Elara nodded, as if she knew the place Shane was referring to because such a place was indeed not much in this village.
"Tomorrow I'll pick you up early so we can get back to town."
Shane's words made Elara's eyes break.
"But my job?"
"I've taken care of it" Shane replied lightly.
"But Shane ..."
"Lara, we'll take care of a lot after this. I still have to see your family, too, right? So ... Just once, listen to me, follow me and don't argue with me."
Elara took a long breath. "Alright," he replied.
Shane was about to leave the Elara residence when he suddenly recalled something. Shane turned around again and made Elara frown confused in her position.
"What else?" ask Elara.
"The man who proposed to you, I want to meet him."
Now Elara is smiling. "Did I say he was a man?" he held back amusedly.
"What's? Meanin?" ask Shane wonder.
"Later you'll know too. I'll introduce you to him."
"OK, I'm waiting for that moment and can't wait to meet him who intends to take mine," Shane said seriously.
Elara chuckled softly, which in reality she wanted to laugh out loud now.
"Yes, yes, I hope you don't fight with him."
"Depending on the circumstances," Shane replied indifferently.
Elara held back amusedly then waved her hand as a signal telling Shane to quickly move.
Shane nodded then completely exited through the dwelling's door.
"Mane? Are you Shane?"
Shane stopped his steps when he heard someone say his name. The man turned his head and found Jasmine behind his body.
"Yes, I'm Shane. You must be Jasmine."
Jasmine smiled as she nodded, not expecting Shane to know her name.
"Thank God you've come to pick her up" said Jasmine, who was happy with the matter.
"Yes, thank you for accompanying Elara for these six months" Shane said sincerely.
