ELARA: FATED TO LOVE

ELARA: FATED TO LOVE
12. Terrified

It's been eight days Elara and Shane are in the forest, actually Shane is very happy to be there with the girl who made him fall in love, but he thinks Elara should get better treatment because Shane is afraid that there are internal wounds on Elara's body that are invisible to their eyes.

Not to mention Shane thought about the weather and the temperature of the place which was getting colder and cooler. Shane should get out as soon as possible.

An idea suddenly flashed in Shane's head and he would immediately realize it, only he did not want the incident the other day repeated again when he ran his idea this time.

Elara sees Shane, who seems ready to leave, is curious and tries to ask her even though she knows Shane will still tell her even if she does not ask.

"Where are you going, Shane?"

"I'll climb the tree yesterday again, this time I'll ask for help to send a helicopter to our location."

"Are you sure you're gonna make it?"

"Yesterday we managed to get a signal there. I have to go there again today before my phone runs out, after all my phone charger is fully used, so in the future this phone will run out of power without being able to charge."

"All right, I'm coming!" elara and Shane immediately shook their heads.

"Stay in the tent, Lara. I don't want anything like the other day to happen again. Besides, it'll be safer here. Outside is drizzling."

Shane did not want to hear Elara's refusal, he rushed away and did not forget to leave a be-la-ti for Elara in order to be on guard as usual.

"I'm leaving. Take care of yourself for me." The same sentence came out of the man's lips. He gently dipped Elara's cheeks left and right then smiled slightly at the girl.

Elara stared at Shane's departure from her open tent, knowing that Shane had to leave her here because this is better than Elara coming with Shane to the tall tree again.

As soon as Elara buttoned the door of her tent back, because it could not be denied if she was afraid to be there alone.

Elara thinks of her more than week-long stay with Shane. How deep it has entered in the wall of love that blinds it.

"Shane, come back quickly."

Elara waits for Shane while reading the book she already knows about because it's the only entertainment she has. Until late, Elara found no sign of Shane coming back.

Elara tried to think positive, this is not Shane's first time like this. Shane's day also returned home slowly, Elara understood the terrain that Shane traversed was sometimes not easy, not to mention the many bushes that Shane had to break through. However, Elara knows that her lover is able to get through it because the reliability of Shane is not in doubt.

Gradually, the sound of forest crickets was heard getting louder indicating that the day had gone into the evening. Carefully, Elara peeked outside the tent she hoped Shane had returned with some consumable clay food. That's how the girl thought, she thought Shane for so long because he took the time to go back to look for food stocks for them.

Unfortunately, until late at night Shane did not also return to make Elara worried and shed tears.

"Shane, I'm afraid..Where are you, Shane? Why haven't you come back?"

Elara muttered softly, she hugged her own cold body. He stared at Shane's big bag still in the tent, all the stuff left there so there was no way Shane left it on purpose.

In the head Elara began to make conclusions that actually made her fear more and more.

"Shane, don't forget the way back.hiks!" Elara cries and gets even more frightened when she imagines that something has happened to Shane.

Elara curled up and could not sleep well that night. He still expects Shane's return to their tent. He cried without a sound, afraid that his voice might provoke the attention of the ferocious beasts that happened to pass by.

Just imagine, he was in the forest alone, usually there is Shane who makes his fear disappear. Usually there is Shane who always calms him down. But this time, it looks like Shane will never return to their tent.

Gradually, Elara fell asleep with her cheeks wet with tears. Sometimes he mumbled in his sleep.

"Mirh ..."

"Mirh ..."

...***...

By morning, Elara was awake. The girl packed the items left behind in the tent, including Shane's. Armed with the knowledge that Shane taught him, Elara made an arrow to be able to return to her tent later. He intends to find the whereabouts of Shane in the tree they had visited a few days ago. Isn't Shane gonna be looking for a signal there?

With a strong determination to find Shane, as well as a guiding feeling, Elara forgets her fears and puts aside her amateurish ability to find a way. It could be said that Elara was blind in this forest, she had no climbing talent, only knowing a glimpse of the man who gave her this week over.

Elara walked away from the tent, not forgetting to bring her be-la-tinya, he also stuck an arrow because he intended to return to the tent later if Shane could not be found.

Long enough Elara down the road, fortunately there are still traces of Shane's shoes on the ground and that's what Elara can follow as a guide reference. The road that Shane has passed is also empty and not bushy so that it makes it easier for Elara.

Until finally, Elara arrived at the tree that she came with Shane yesterday. Although there are many trees, but Elara is sure and knows if this is the same tree that Shane climbed when contacting his parents.

Elara didn't see anyone there, there was only the sound of the howling of the coyote and it reminded Elara of the day when she was surrounded by two dogs and Shane saved her with the sound of the man's gun.

"Shane, where are you?" ask Elara who she knows. Once again he put aside the fear even though the shadow of what happened a few days ago still lingered in his memory very clearly.

And sure enough, Elara discovered the danger. I want Elara to scream Shane's name like yesterday. Unfortunately the man is gone and this time Elara must be able to protect herself without Shane's help.

Elara could not rely on anyone but herself when a snake that was a scourge of danger to her this time-it had crept not far from her legs which were only based on thin flatshoes.

Elara wanted to stay there without moving, but she knew that it would not affect anything because the snake was getting closer. With courage that was only a fingernail, Elara pulled the be-la-ti sheath she had been holding since.

Srekk!!

Whether courage and recklessness from where, Elara actually managed to cut the snake before getting towards it. His movements turned deft because of the demanding circumstances. Isn't an emergency situation capable of turning others into strangers? Elara felt this was not her but this was really her hard deed Elara believed in.

Elara then ran after seeing the snake was bleeding, the same as be-la-ti in the hands of Elara who left the same red liquid and came from the slither animal.

Elara ran as she could, until she felt bored.

Arriving at the tent, Elara wiped her cold sweat.

"Don!!!!" Elara shrieked loudly in her heart, but if she could she wanted to make that sound out of her throat she could not.

The one thing that scared Elara the most, had happened. This fear exceeds when he found thousands of worms in the river, also more than just surrounded by two coyotes and almost bitten by a snake, this fear is worse because it is accompanied by a sense of tightness in his heart. Losing Shane for no apparent reason. Leaving a big question mark on Elara's head.

Where did that guy go? Did something happen? Or did Shane deliberately leave him because he was tired of looking after him?
