42. Forgive but have not forgotten

While setting foot in the residence of Gladwin - for the third time - Elara felt very nervous. Not only will she meet Shane's mother again, but she will also hear how Emma apologizes to her.

Honestly, Elara was afraid of expecting too high. In fact Emma did apologize to him when he had just been face-to-face with the woman. Even Emma had already mentioned herself as a mother in front of Elara.

"You've been separated from Elara for six months. And if Elara is really pregnant, it should have been when she came here that she had welcomed a two-bodied woman, unfortunately not so, right?"

And Shane nodded at the mother's speech. He was ashamed and felt guilty for lying to Emma but he had also done it at that time.

In essence, Shane and Stevi's lies are very different in context. And of course Emma was able to forgive her son, but not what Stevi did. Because, however, the lies Stevi did could not be underestimated. What if Emma continued to think of Stevi's daughter as Gladwin's offspring when in fact it was not? Now it was Elara's turn to look at Emma with a glare.

Emma really made her point of wanting to make dinner this time much better than dinner the other day.

"So, when are you planning to visit Elara's family in Indonesia, Shane?" ask Emma to the son.

"I'm finishing my work deadline, once everything is ready Elara and I will fly to Indonesia soon." Shane paused his words for the sake of glancing at Elara beside him. "You want to, right?" tanyakanya.

Elara heaved a sigh of relief after returning from the Gladwin residence.

"Thank you for today. You're being yourself and thank you for hearing my mother's apology" Shane said as he drove Elara to the apartment door.

Shane patted Elara's head gently. Then he hugged Elara briefly.

"I'm home. Prepare yourself for our departure to Indonesia."

A gentle kiss Shane put on his girl's temple, before long the man actually went from the corridor of his apartment which is now occupied by Elara.
