Today, Shane will return to her routine as she has been away from work for too long since planning her wedding with Elara.
Elara herself, also busy preparing for the needs of her husband who will return to the world of work.
Elara prepares a suit for Shane, then intends to cook for the man. But at the Gladwin Mansion, he was not allowed to set foot into a dirty kitchen. Elara's foothold limit is only up to the dining room. Even to enter the kitchen clean alone Elara was forbidden by the butler.
"I just want to cook for my husband?" elara protest.
And there was a little debate there, where Elara did not accept the decision.
Before long, Shane went downstairs and found his wife with the butler engaged in a debate.
"What's this?" shane asked who started off with a slow thump.
Elara realizes Shane's presence there and says her wish.
"I just want to cook for you, Shane. But why can't it?" protest the woman.
Shane understands the situation now.
"Honey, you don't have to bother cooking for me because here there are already waiters who arrange the menu for us to eat every day," said Shane softly.
"So I really can't cook?" Elara spoke in disbelief.
"No." Shane said calmly.
"Even cooking for my own husband?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Elara fell silent. Shane looked down at his wife's face and the two found disappointment there.
"... If you really want to cook, then you can cook when we're in the apartment."
Elara clucked her tongue, then left in front of Shane with a feeling of annoyance. He re-entered his room. Until finally, Shane returned to follow Elara there. He found Elara sitting on the edge of the bed and looked silent.
"Darling?"
Elara raised her face and saw her handsome husband smiling there. Elara looked up, throwing away her eyes. I don't know why he's upset with Shane.
"I also want to taste your cooking, but here are the rules that have been implemented since long ago. If you are already a hostess, then you cannot enter the kitchen area. Trust everything to the waiter."
Elara snorted slowly. "You told me if you'd give me anything. But, just a matter of cooking alone, even my wish was not fulfilled!" skink.
Shane's massaging the base of his nose right now.
"good. If you can cook in the kitchen then you'll be happy again?" ask Shane.
"Of course!" elara answered.
"Well, all the rules seem to have to be broken." Shane paused his speech. "If it's your pleasure then do it, I'll tell Jullie, '" he continued. Jullie is the butler at his Mansion.
Hearing that, Elara felt bad. Is it only because of his wishes that the Mansion rules that have been in effect for a long time really have to be changed because of him?
When Shane was back galloping, as fast as lightning Elara blocked his steps.
"I'm sorry, I know I was wrong. I shouldn't break the rules here just because of my own selfishness." Elara lowered her face deeply.
Shane held the top of his wife's head, then raised Elara's chin so that their faces could look at each other.
"You sure? I just don't want you to say that I'm not trying to follow your wishes."
Elara's face changed. "I was wrong" he said. There was a breath that Elara exhaled for a moment. "I shouldn't force anything. I'm sorry," he continued sincerely.
Shane's smiling now. He spoke slowly shortly.
"The rules will loosen so there's nothing to break. You can still cook in a clean kitchen, later. How's it?"
"really?" asked Elara enthusiastically.
"... your real duty is to be my wife" Shane continued with a ruckus at the end of her sentence. He knew if his wife had guessed what he would say, so he quickly corrected the sentence to make more sense in the wife's sense of hearing.
"What have I been doing, not showing that I've been your wife?" elara asked, rolling her eyes.
Shane laughed softly. "Of course you showed it, honey. So, keep it that way .." he explained with a smile full of intent.
"Yes, yes, I know what you think." Elara looked up and Shane laughed.
...***...
As soon as Shane arrived at his office, he received many drafts of files that he had to sign. Aided by Max's explanation, he began to understand what the contents of the files were.
"Well, I'll check back later." Shane is always careful about this, not that he does not believe in the brief explanation that Max spoke about but it would be better if later he returned to crosschecking all the things that went through the approval process.
Max exits Shane's room after politely retreating. But just minutes from Max's departure, Shane gets a call from the man.
"Sir, Miss Stevi would like to see you. According to the receptionist, she's been visiting the office in a week just to meet you."
Shane was used to problems with his calm, but Stevi was always lazy to start. This woman is too much camouflage that Shane sometimes difficult to distinguish which is right and which is just a pretense.
But, Shane is also not a man who will run away from a problem that comes. He is a figure who is not daunted to face problems let alone those problems that deliberately show themselves in front of him.
"Alright, ask him to come to my room."
Only with one word, then before long the sound of knocking on the door was heard. Shane told someone to come in. All he knew was that it was Stevi.
"What are you looking for me for?" ask Shane to the point. His eyes were still staring at the pile of work on the desk, without even glancing at Stevi who was visiting his office.
"Maura's sick. My family is in a difficult time. I need a fee for my daughter, Shane."
Shane frowned, did that baby who was not a descendant of Gladwin have to be his responsibility as well? Actually no, but okay, Shane's gonna help that innocent baby out of humanity.
"alright. How much do you need to buy Maura's medicine or treatment?"
"Not much. But, you want to help me, right?"
"Hm ..." Shane replied while affixing his signature to a file that was more inviting to his attention than Stevi's whereabouts there.
"Thank you, Shane. You're good."
"If you're done, go! I'll ask Max to send the money to your account."
"Thank you again, Shane. I know you won't let Maura be sick."
Shane was silent. Before long, he heard Stevi's footsteps coming towards the door, but suddenly the woman's voice came back.
"Congratulations to your wedding, Shane."
This time, Stevi's speech managed to make Shane lift his face, he found Stevi with a performance that could be said to be different. His body is thinner with a pale face without the makeup polish Stevi used to wear.
Shane wanted to ask Stevi where she knew about her marriage, but she decided to keep quiet about it.
"Thanks," Shane replied in response to Stevi's congratulations.
Looks like Stevi, Shane called Max and asked the assistant to send some money to Stevi's account.
"Is Miss Stevi sick, sir?" ask Max then.
"Oh, he just said that Maura was sick" Shane replied bluntly.
"She looks unwell" Max said, revealing her head.
Shane admits it in himself, but he does not understand the words of the assistant. Shane's trying to ignore Stevi's situation right now. Anyway, what's the deal? That's what Shane thinks now.
