Elara was teaching when one of her wisest students was none other than Calvin chattering loudly in the room.
"Sister Ela, why are you so beautiful every day? Can't you just get used to it, so I can focus on studying?"
Elara chuckled in her position, followed by the sound of laughter that was also heard throughout the classroom.
Elara had to admit that Calvin was a smart and quick-witted child, but Elara also could not deny if Calvin was a boy who was good at seducing at a very small age.
Elara approached Calvin's position, where the seven-year-old sat cupping his cheeks with his own fingers with a look of admiration for Elara.
"Hi, Calv?" greet Elara.
"Hi, Brother." Calvin replied with a confident smile that looked as soft as being approached by his idol teacher.
"What did you say?" elara asked to hear Calvin repeat his question.
"Ehm .. Why is it that every day you are so beautiful? Can't it be ordinary, so that I can focus on learning?" the boy complied with Elara's request.
Instead of answering, Elara gave Calvin the same question. "You yourself, why do you have to seduce me every day? Can't you just shut up and pay attention?" ask her with a thin smile.
All of Calvin's classmates chuckled again. It is common in their eyes where Calvin seduces Elara and is reciprocated by Elara with similar treatment. It is sometimes their own entertainment because Elara is very patient with the little boy.
"I can't help but seduce you, Brother. It's become my habit."
"Oh my God," sizzled Elara in disbelief. There was a smile that was held back. His lips twitched witfully at Calvin's answer which again was beyond his prediction. "You're a master seducer apparently," he murmured later. However, he suddenly remembered the adult man he had given such a nickname. Why remember it at a time like this?
"I'm just seducing you, brother." Calvin is back.
"Yes, we continue to learn." Elara had no intention of continuing to respond to Calvin.
"But what about my request?" calvin said as Elara turned around.
"Which request?" Elara frowning.
"Can you just get used to it so I can focus on studying?"
"Tomorrow I'll come teach with a creepy face. You satisfied?"
Calvin giggles. "You're fierce, brother. Fortunately you are beautiful" he replied.
"Oh, come on, Calv." Elara slightly jerked her head back. "We're back to the lesson" he continued, pointing out that it's time to get serious.
Elara came out of the room twenty minutes later and found Jasmine, who had just left the next class. Ah yes, their teaching place only has four classrooms in which are filled by children according to their age levels. Because the classes here range from 7 to 14 years, the four available classes are filled by students whose age is equal.
"You why?" jasmine asked to look at the water on Elara's face that looked rather murky.
"I remember it again."
And Jasmine knew who Elara meant here.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. It's just that Calvin's behavior often makes me raise my hand."
"Woa, don't tell me Calvin is a mini version of Shane that reminds you of that guy."
Elara let out a long sigh as if she confirmed Jasmine's words.
"You miss him. Right?" guess Jasmine.
Elara was silent again. There was a pause created between them because Jasmine did not demand Elara to answer her guess.
"Sometimes, I'm just overwhelmed with Calvin. Maybe because usually the one who seduced me was a student but now I was seduced by a little boy," Elara said at last.
"I don't think so, because what I'm concluding here is that you think of Calvin as the person you're missing."
"Just ..."
"Sorry, I'm a deliverance." Jasmine scowled while brandishing two V-shaped fingers.
They returned to the dormitory where they had been living all this time. They were indeed given facilities like this when they decided to become teaching volunteers in remote villages where they now live.
"Would you like to drop off for lunch?" jasmine asked before they entered the room where the door lay face to face.
"No, I had time to cook this morning" replied Elara.
"Oh, okay. Have a break."
Elara nodded and pressed the door handle. When he turned around and was about to enter his room, Elara was shocked. The problem was, he saw the figure sitting on a wooden chair there. Who else if not the man he left six months ago.
"Okay, it's just my hallucination," said Elara. He knew from the beginning of the class that he always remembered Shane and now the figure appeared in his room like an uninvited ghost.
Elara stroked her own chest, trying to calm herself down considering that the figure she thought was a hallucination was now even grinning at her.
"Lara, I miss you so much" said Shane who took Elara's fingers off her cheeks, then brought it to her lips for her to kiss.
Elara freezes. This is impossible. He must have been in a dream in the middle of the day, he thought.
Not yet had Elara said a word to show her surprise, Shane had smothered her lips with a kiss that felt urgent and passionate.
It feels real. Elara was not dreaming. He returned the kiss and was late for it, but suddenly Elara realized that this was all impossible. There's no way Shane's here with him. Because Shane never knew where he was going.
Elara slightly pushed Shane's chest to stop the kiss, until she finally released herself with a breath of breath.
"Don't you miss me?" shane asked with a heavy voice, which Elara responded with just silence. Elara was still confused about this situation.
Shane carried Elara's body to sit on the wooden chair he had occupied until now he stood before the girl who had been sitting. Shane held both of Elara's shoulders with his hands. He looked inside at the girl who was suddenly bowed down without even complaining to him.
"You're surprised by my presence, aren't you?" shane asked the real question he did not need to ask because he should have known the answer more.
Suddenly Elara cried in her position.
Shane closed his eyes tightly and knelt down to align his position with Elara.
"I'm sorry" said Shane, stroking Elara's shoulders with each of his fingers.
Elara still did not answer, just her crying was getting broken. Shane clutched the body. "I'm sorry I took so long to pick you up, sorry, sorry" he said. Now Shane rested his chin on the top of Elara's head as his hand continued to stroke the girl's long mane.
Long enough they were in that position, until finally Elara was able to let out her voice that had been stuck in the throat.
"Why are you here?"
"I'm looking for you."
"When did you know I was here?"
"Since two days of your departure."
Elara broke their arms and looked at the greenish eyes of her man.
"If so, why did you just come now?"
Shane smiled thinly. "I came after making sure that we could marry my mother's blessing."
Elara's eyes glazed back when she heard Shane's words in front of her.
"You ... still want to, right?"
Elara cast a sideways glance while folding her own lips.
"You still want to be my wife, right?" repeat Shane again.
"You're late."
"W-what?" Shane's eyes are breaking due to Elara's answer this time.
"Some one proposed to me again."
"Shhit!" Shane cursed, I don't know who. Then he looked back at Elara. "And you take it?" tanyanya.
"He was so sweet, how could I refuse him," Elara and Shane growled at him.
"Tell me who he is!" Shane suddenly emotional.
"What do you want to do with him?"
"I just want to know what kind of guy-is gonna be my rival."
Elara pushed Shane a little so he could get out of there.
"You can't compete with her."
"You like it?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Liked it?"
"Of course," replied Elara confidently and calmly.
Seeing that, Shane stood up. "If you don't want to meet me with her then I'll find her myself."
Inwardly, Shane cursed Max who did not tell him about this. It should be all the info about Elara he knows, right? Why about Elara being proposed by another man must escape his knowledge. Damn you Max, Shane's mind swears at his assistant.
