SUSHI THE DAMN CARRIER

"But you have to get involved because this is all about you, Mrs Stevano."

Daffin's words kept ringing in my ears. My mind wandered everywhere, as if it did not want to stay in place and let me find the answer to the unease that plagued my heart now.

Daffin's right! All these problems are rooted in me. Even if I reject it, eventually it will all come back to me sooner or later. And about the man I call my real father, he has every right to know about my whereabouts because he's not entirely guilty of this.

"What are you thinking?" Daffin's question made me realize that I was still in the middle of the crowd in the shopping mall.

My eyes glittered. I looked around and realized our position was in a restaurant that was quite crowded.

When I saw a large enough inscription on the restaurant wall, my eyes squinted to read what it was. Unfortunately, I don't understand what's written there.

"Daffin, what is it?" I pointed my finger at the writing.

Daffin turned his head and followed my direction. "Ah, that's a kanji. That means -"

"No need to tell! I don't want to know either." I'm afraid, before Daffin can finish his sentence.

I could hear Daffin sighing as he looked back at me. Maybe gradually he will get tired of facing my attitude that is difficult to control.

"Why did you bring me here?" ask again, while observing the circumstances around.

"You're hungry. So, of course I took you to the restaurant to eat." replied Daffin, the corner of his lips twisting a smile.

I'm clucking. "I mean, why this restaurant? I don't even understand what's written there."

Daffin chuckled knowing one of my flaws. "No problem. The food here is delicious. I've also ordered the best food here."

"You come here often?" ask me with my eyes.

As Daffin was about to open his mouth to answer, a waitress came and arranged the food on our table.

My eyes took turns staring at the waitress and the strange foods that were now neatly arranged.

"What food is this?" I was confused, worried about the taste of the strange food.

Daffin flicked his hand at the waitress who was immediately answered by nodding his head and in an instant the waitress disappeared.

"You never ate this?" Daffin showed a plate containing pieces of rice in rolls that looked like pennies cut into pieces.

"Mrrrl?" reply origin.

Daffin's laughter gushed and caught the attention of everyone in the restaurant.

"Why are you staring at me? Is something wrong?" cynical Daffin, he does not realize that his laughing voice bothers others.

I could only snort and endure the embarrassment with Daffin's attitude. "You're rare, Daffin, so everyone wants to look at you."

Daffin turned his attention back to me. This time he even looked at me so closely that it felt like my body was locked by the look in his eyes.

"I'm rare. So, don't waste me because many want to have me." said Daffin half whispered.

"You're right! One-eyed plankton is second to none." I slurped, then stabbed weird food in front of me.

"Why are you playing with that food, Mrs Stevano?" Daffin caught my hand.

"I'm not playing, Daffin, I just want to make sure that this can be eaten." I said, putting my finger back on top of the food that was like that.

"Of course you can! It's called sushi. Didn't Erlangga ever bring you to eat sushi?" daffin asked, after one sushi that gagged his mouth.

I just shook my head weakly and stared at the food called sushi, then carefully stuffed it into my mouth like Daffin did.

"Not good! The acid! Is this food stale?" I'm trying to find tissue to get that sushi back out of my mouth.

"God!!! It turns out that Stevano's second mistress was really a village. Yeah, well, guess what because you're from an orphanage."

I looked up to see who would dare insult me like that. And it was surprising, it turns out Reena was standing next to Daffin who was no less surprised by the presence of Reena.

"Whatchu mean? I'm just not used to this food. After all, I don't eat stale food like this." hardikmu while standing up and threw a look against me at Reena.

Whahuh? Raw? Oh my God, my stomach was instantly turbulent as if it was pushing something that wanted to get out of there right away.

As much as I could I endured my nausea. I don't want Reena to laugh more at my stupidity and ignorance. In addition, I also do not want Reena to know about my pregnancy which might endanger the life of the child in my womb later.

"What are you here for?" ask Daffin coldly.

Daffin was about to stand up, but Reena restrained her shoulders and pulled the chair beside Daffin. "Sit quietly and finish your meal!"

There was a burning feeling in my heart seeing Reena speaking very softly to Daffin. He seemed to know how to conquer Daffin's heart even though he was in anger.

"Daffin, I want to go home!" I had already draped my bag and turned around to leave the restaurant that was starting to feel claustrophobic to me.

Suddenly Reena said something that stopped me. "I know you must have come here today because of our memories here. This place is where you proposed to me and it's been our favorite restaurant all along."

DEG ...

My heart just slumped into my stomach and made me nauseous. My legs no longer even feel able to support my body.

I don't want to look. I don't want to see what that unlucky couple in my life is doing.

With a thousand footstep, I walked out of the restaurant and left Daffin with his soulmate who was none other than my own half-brother.

A tear accompanied my steps. I don't care when a lot of eyes are looking at me. All I know is that if I'm sad I have to cry and if I'm happy then I have to laugh.

I chose to enter the toilet and hide in one of the rooms to calm my mind.

"Dumb daffin! Fucking daffin! Why did he take me to the restaurant he used to go to with that woman! Is there only one restaurant in this big?" I muttered, while continuing to pull the toilet tissue beside me.

For this time only, let me once again do the stupidity of using toilet tissue as a facial tissue to wipe my tears.

"Abuehhhh ...."

BRACK ... BRACK ... BRACK ...

I vented my frustration at the door of the room until it made a noise.

"Miss? Missy? Are you okay?" A woman knocked on the toilet door and asked in a worried tone.

"Yes! I'm doing fine. I just-just just killed a passing cockroach." I replied lying.

"Oh, all right" said the woman, then silence resumed.

Holy jeez!!! I'm really pissed at Daffin. I forgot I was in a public place. You are a fool, Ayasya!

After feeling relieved to let go of my frustration, I came out of the toilet and washed my face. My eyes are clearly visible in the mirror.

This sadness has managed to make me forget myself, even forget the nausea that had attacked me earlier.

"Well!" I exhaled my breath violently.

My hand reached into the small bag that was attached to my shoulder to look for something that could help me disguise my puffy eyes.

"Fuck my fate!" I muttered, not finding the thing I was looking for. "Let's! What harm does it look like? I'll be beautiful no matter how I look."

I rushed out of the toilet and was intending to return home, but when I had just come out a hand had already pulled my hand and made my body fall into his arms.

I could feel that person hugging me tightly, as if letting go of a long-buried longing. I tried to raise my gaze to see who had dared to hug me because the scent of her perfume felt familiar to me.

"Sir Ersya ...."
