One year later ...
"Disha! Stop, Shaka!!!"
The routine scenery that always became my spectacle every morning, where mom would run hard chasing Shaka. Yes, Shaka.
Shaka Ryuichi Stevano's. He is my ten-month-old son. My smart and naughty son, just like his father. Ever since he could crawl, my son kept making trouble. His little brain must have had a lot of sense to work with us adults.
Two more months is the time I promised Daffin to have the wedding. Actually, Daffin and I had a marriage contract right after Shaka was born. However, Daffin and I have not held such a lavish wedding reception as she wanted.
Flashback ...
After Shaka's departure, not much changed in my life other than Daffin's change of attitude that became more reserved. He's getting closed and rarely sees me.
I was so worried about her situation that I kept begging my father to let us stay together.
"No!!! You're not married!"
That's my answer every time I plead with him. And in the end, I could only give in to fate as well as circumstances where I could only pray for Daffin from a distance.
Today, it has been two months since Shaka's departure. However, Daffin was still grieving. I tried to take him out for a walk, with his father's permission of course. For the reason that my son had to see his father often, my father could not do anything to reject me.
With a happy heart, I went to DS Corp with Rania. Now the girl has completely let go of Shaka, the man she loves. Later I started to suspect that Rania already had another man in her heart. Hemm, it seems like I have to think of a way for him to tell me who that man is!
"Madamma, we've arrived" said Rania, along with the parking of my car in front of the DS Corp building.
Too much daydreaming left me unaware that we had arrived, so I was a little jolted when Rania said it.
"What's? Are we there yet?" ask absentminded.
Rania smiled. "Yes, Madam."
"All right! You just wait here. I'll go in and see if Daffin can go with me. If he's busy, I'll be back with you." I got out of the car after making sure Rania nodded her head.
The atmosphere of DS Corp was slightly different when I entered it, as if something was missing from this place. For the first time, I came back here after Shaka's departure. Suddenly my chest felt tight as I remembered the kanebo man who always picked me up and watched me every time I met Daffin.
"Shaka ..," I wiggled my wet cheek.
Losing someone is new and painful when we remember the things we used to do together. I have never been this sad before when I remember Shaka, but today my heart is so fragile at every step of the way I walk through the building where he served.
It did not feel like my steps had reached the front of Daffin's room, because this time there was nothing preventing me from meeting Daffin. Maybe the staff here have got orders from Daffin not to bother me, the little lady with the big belly.
"Daffin?" call me, spread my eyes when I don't see Daffin at his desk.
I had not yet turned around, I already felt the warmth of Daffin's hand coiling around my stomach. "I'm here, Mrs Stevano."
"Where have you been? I'm looking for you." My hand held Daffin's hand that hugged me from behind.
"I'm not going anywhere, Mrs Stevano," she replied weakly, almost inaudibly.
Sensing that something was bothering Daffin, I immediately turned around and looked at him. There was sadness in her eyes that contrasted once with her lips that drew a smile.
"What's up, Daffin?" manya panic.
Instead of answering, Daffin lifted my body and laid my body on the sofa and sat on the floor to keep looking at me without blinking.
"Daffin, stop!" my murmur, upset by Daffin's silence.
"Can't I look at the face of the woman I love? Can't I enjoy the beauty of my son's mother? Is that a sin for me too?" great-grandson Daffin, with a bowed face.
Oh, my God, I think I made a mistake. I didn't expect Daffin to react like this. It turned out that his mood had not changed much, even though it had been a while since Shaka left.
"There's nothing wrong, Mr. Stevano, I just miss your voice that calms my heart. Ever since I came, you've only said two sentences and it's hurt me." My face is perfect.
Gradually a smile was drawn at the corner of Daffin's lips. "I'm sorry, Mrs Stevano! I was so late in grief that I forgot about you and our son. You must be disappointed in me!"
"Sure!!! That's why I came here to hold you accountable!" my hardik looked at Daffin from the corner of my eye.
"All right! What can I do to make amends, Mrs Stevano?" ask Daffin.
My face flashed a faint smile before replying, "come back!"
Daffin's forehead furrowed until both of his eyebrows swooped sharply as he looked at me. "I see what you mean, Mrs Stevano, but I can't live this without Shaka."
I got up and straightened my body and grabbed Daffin's hand. "There I am, Daffin! Yes, even if I'm not as smart as Shaka, but I'll be with you like Shaka who's always been your shadow."
My upayak seemed to be paying off because Daffin immediately grabbed my body into his arms. Despite the tightness, I remained silent and returned his embrace until I felt pain in my stomach.
"Ah ..," I just screamed.
Daffin immediately let go of his embrace. "I'm sorry! I must have hugged you too tightly."
As soon as the panic was created, I should have expected this to happen, but I could not hold back as my stomach grew sicker and happened over and over again in the adjacent time frame.
"Daffins ... Daffins!!! Be calm! I just have a stomachache. Maybe your son wants to get out soon," I chanted originally, after a light laugh that I forced a little.
"But it's still two weeks away, Mrs Stevano!" sergeant Daffin, he doesn't seem to like my jokes.
"Could he can't wait to help me comfort his daddy in the nestapa's back." I rubbed my stomach which was still sore, more precisely heartburn.
Daffin crouched down in front of me and kissed my stomach. "Then get out! But can you promise not to hurt your mother? Daddy's hurt her a lot. Don't you add any more trouble to your mother!"
Whatisit? His son wasn't even born yet, but he was already threatening like that.
"Sure, Daddy!" I answered, imitating the voices of children.
"Come, to the hospital! I've called Dr. Reinhard to get everything ready." take Daffin, with my hand.
Just stepping, I could no longer step and felt water running between my legs.
"Daffin ...," I pulled Daffin's hand back. "Looks like I'm wetting the bed." my great-grandson.
Daffin's gaze followed my gaze and his face paled. "No, Mrs Stevano! That must be amniotic water."
Without asking much, Daffin immediately lifted my body and took me to the hospital in an instant. Sometimes, I wonder if Daffin's a superhero? Ah, nevermind! I'll think about it later.
When I got to the hospital, everything was ready and my gynecologist was waiting for me.
"Mrs, have you forgotten what I said?" the doctor asked, as Daffin laid me on the patient bed.
"I remember, Doctor, but as I recall it hasn't been twelve hours since I first started heartburn." I smiled clumsyly.
The doctor shook his head and took me to the delivery room.
"Doctor, can Daffin accompany me?" many doubt.
"Sure, Mistress!" answer the doctor.
I felt the warmth of Daffin's hand clasping my hand. "I'll always be with you, Mrs Stevano."
To be honest, Daffin's words couldn't reduce the pain in my stomach, but at least the presence of Daffin was able to alleviate a little of my worries.
Long enough I was in the delivery room and felt an incredible heartburn. Father, mother, daddy David, om Rei, they took turns to meet me for support. Even though it freaked me out. Tears were unceasingly flowing in Daffin's eyes when he saw me in pain.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, Mrs Stevano! I promise I won't get you pregnant again." Daffin continued to kiss my hand.
Which is my question now, did he realize he had just said something like that? Honestly, I have a little doubt, but I'll keep that in mind. Right now I'm too weak to answer her every word.
The sweat had wetted my forehead and my breath was also hunting more and more as I felt something slump in my stomach. With a single push, my son finally came out and showed his face.
"Congratulations, ma'am, your baby's a boy." The doctor showed me my son who was still covered in blood.
Daffin cried and fell to the floor, but still held my hand.
"Welcome back, Shaka ...."
Flashback off ...
I still don't understand why Daffin gave Shaka's name to our son, but one thing I do understand is that he still remembers Shaka. And I think Daffin wants to always feel Shaka's presence between us.
From a distance, I saw Daffin who had just come down. He immediately caught Shaka and carried her. Their faces are identical. And of course that's because when I was pregnant, I hated Daffin so much.
Blue eyes with jet black hair and also a large tall body, all in Shaka's possession. It's just that Shaka's skin color is not as white as Daffin's, he has the same skin color as me.
Shaka's carefree laughter became a cure for Daffin. Since his birth, Daffin is no longer sad. He laughed more and enjoyed his life.
"Come on, meet mommy!" exclaimed Daffin, as he stepped closer to me.
I was about to stand up to approach the two, but Daffin held me back. "Sit, Mommy! Don't let you get tired!"
I snorted in annoyance. Upset that Daffin forgot his promise when I gave birth to Shaka first. If I had the tape, I would have sued him in court. If only!
Right now, I am pregnant with our second child and my gestational age has just turned five weeks. However, my pregnancy this time was different from when I was pregnant with Shaka. I'm not at all nauseous or hate Daffin's face. My pregnancy this time was so much fun because I could eat anything and do anything. That's why Daffin insisted on having a wedding reception in the middle of my pregnancy. In accordance with my promise to her that I agreed to hold the reception after Shaka was one year old.
