That morning, Erlan and I were walking by the lake as we used to do every morning.
Erlan's body accidentally collides with a man.
"Sorry.. sorry ..." said Brother Erlan.
The man rubbed his shoulders, which I thought maybe he felt the body of Erlan's holy brother had already dirty his clothes.
"Why is my sister sorry? He's the wrong one!" my murmur, I can't accept Erlan's brother having to apologize for a mistake he didn't make.
"But I'm wrong, Ca, because you're too fascinated by your beauty so you don't see anyone in front of me." Erlan explained.
I'm sure Erlan's just trying to tame me. Brother Erlan knows very well how I behave when I'm angry.
"No problem, I was wrong - too" the man replied, but I interrupted him immediately.
"really. You are wrong. So, don't try to blame Erlan's brother!"
The man turned his face away, but I saw him smiling cynically. Although I'm not sure, but I did pay attention to him in detail since.
"I'm sorry, sir, I'll compensate -"
'What? What compensation?' My inner. "Sister! What compensation? Brother is not wrong. Nothing is broken anyway, so there is nothing to fix!" I stared at the man from the end of his hair to the end of his shoes.
"You think I'm a broken thing!" snapped the man, surprising me who was watching him.
I cried for a while, but it really wasn't because I was afraid of her. Only, I was never snapped by anyone other than the teacher when I was not doing schoolwork.
"Have....don't cry!" Erlan's big arms encircled my body.
"Has your sister always been like that?" asked the man, a guilty tone sounded from his voice.
I felt his hand touch my shoulder. "I'm sorry, little brother!" said me.
I heard Brother Erlan chuckle, I guess maybe because the man called me little brother.
Of course I don't accept being called that way by him. I immediately turned around and glared at the man.
"Listen, Mr. tall! I'm not little sister!" defiantly defiant. "And I'm not his sister, Brother Erlan." I said.
The man frowned at my words, it was obvious in his eyes that he was very unhappy with my attitude.
"Sorry, sir, this beautiful little girl is my wife" said Erlan, who made the man's bead stare at Erlan.
"Are you a pedophile?"
***
I was really upset with that guy, other than because he thought I was a kid. He has also accused my dear brother Erlan of being a pedophile.
"Why is your face still pouting like that?" asked Brother Erlan, who was sitting next to me still with a smile as bright as the sun.
"I'm still upset. Brother should've let me" I said, hanging because Erlan's brother put his finger on my lips.
A habit that Erlan always does when she doesn't want to hear my babble. And honestly, it's very powerful. I also immediately fell silent like a cockroach sprayed with insect-killing liquid.
"I know you love me so much, but you also know I love you so much. So, never get yourself in trouble especially just because of trivial problems." Erlan said advising me.
I can only nod my head. In this world, only Erlan's brother loves me after grandma. The two of them were the reason for the presence of an Ayasya.
I hugged Erlan's sister very tightly, as if afraid that someone might snatch her from me.
"Hey, aren't you ashamed to be seen by the porridge salesman?" ask Erlan, though I know she likes it too when I hug her.
"Leave it! Let's just say you're watching a young boy's love story." I joked to the porridge seller who was just smiling at my behavior.
After arguing with the man, I felt very hungry and Erlan invited me to have breakfast chicken porridge as usual.
While waiting for our ordered chicken porridge, suddenly the annoying man came again.
"I want two servings and please wrap!" the door was to the chicken porridge seller.
Feeling someone cut the queue, of course I did not accept. "I don't think you're a duck friend, sir,"
"You deaf?"
"No. But I think you might be one of the duck's relatives" the man threw. "Because since then you've always been blushing my words." he sneered later.
I was thinking of warning him, that duck alone knows the ethics to queue up. However, the opposite happened. He found a reason to mock me.
***
Brother Erlan is really a good man and very understanding. He let the man get his porridge first.
"Thank you" said the man. I saw him give more money than the price of two servings of chicken porridge.
"The return, sir," said the porridge seller.
"no need. It was to pay for this little Master and Madam porridge." replied the man flatly, then glanced at Brother Erlan who was smiling and nodded his head politely.
'That's my husband. He knows manners, unlike you!'
I looked at Erlan's brother and the man alternately for a few seconds, what a bitch! Erlan's teeth dried up with a smile, but the man kept his cold, stiff face.
I wish I had cursed that man, if only Erlan hadn't warned me before.
I looked at the back of the man who was getting further away from where I was. 'Go the intruder fly!'
"Sister, who is he? Arrogant right!" my ketus.
"He's Mr. Daffin Stevano. Her husband is Miss Reena." obviously a porridge seller.
"Daffin who? Reena who?" I was confused because I had never heard of both names before.
"That's the biggest house. Not far from here. That, the roof is visible from here." point the porridge seller at a house that is indeed the largest in our neighborhood.
"That's the house in front of our house, brother. I'm right, right?" many ensure.
"Yes, Ca, but I also just found out that the owner is the master" said Erlan with his shoulders raised.
"The neighbors themselves were not familiar, sir," the porridge vendor seduced, in tandem with the landing of two bowls of chicken porridge before us.
"Thank you, sir, we're new here and have never met Mr. Stevano before" Erlan said, making the father of the mangosteen porridge seller understand.
I stared at the two bowls of porridge before me and remembered that the man had paid for it earlier.
"Later on, brother!" I held Erlan's hand that would pull the bowl.
"Why?" ask Erlan confused.
I didn't answer, my eyes were staring around. Until my gaze stopped on the two little children who were picking up trash.
"Hey, you! Come here!" call me to the two boys by waving my hands.
The two boys looked over and came straight to me. " Yes, ma'am, we didn't take anything. We're just picking up trash." said one of the kids who looked bigger.
I smiled wryly at the boy's words, he thought I would scold him. "No, it's not that. Have you guys eaten?" my many.
The two children looked at each other. "Not yet, Madam,"
I looked over and looked at Erlan's brother. As if understanding with my thoughts, Erlan nodded while closing her eyes for a moment as a sign of her agreement.
"Then sit down and eat this!" I pushed the two bowls in front of me.
The two children remained unmoved. It's true that they are disinclined by me and Erlan's brother.
"Just calm! Someone just took out his alms."
