Arrested Married CEO
RETALIATION

"Not only them, I'm disappointed in you."

Our gaze all immediately rested on the figure of Daffin's father who was stepping his feet to approach the master of Kafeel. He patted Rei on the shoulder when he met him.

"David .. Are you here?" lirih.

Daddy David smiled wryly as his gaze met with mom. "Huh, Maya! I'm really sorry for choosing to give up on you. I should have followed Daffin's wish to force you to marry me. Look her! He has even managed to trap your daughter to marry him."

Dad's words pulled my eyeballs to look at Daffin who was smiling proudly, as if what his father had just said was a compliment.

"You think it's an achievement!" my cynic, with a perfect face.

Daffin only glanced at me at a glance, then looked back at the elders. "Don't you hear that? Daddy himself admitted that he couldn't do what I did, Mrs Stevano."

I could only snort angrily at Daffin's words. "Because he's a good and honest man!"

Before my emotions rose again, I preferred to observe the conversation between Daddy David as well as my two parents.

Mr. Kafeel was looking at me when I turned my eyes to him. He looked so down and felt guilty, all of it was very clear in his eyes.

"Don't look at me! You're just gonna give my son a bad look!" my murmur, made Mr. Kafeel lower his gaze.

"Mrs Stevano ...," call Daffin soft.

Now that I'm starting to understand, it turns out that Daffin doesn't like me talking rudely to my parents, but what can I do? My hatred for this aging man in front of me is greater than my longing for the father figure I so desperately hoped for in my life.

I turned to look at daddy David who looked surprised by my attitude. "Sorry, Daddy, I just ...,"

"No problem, Lily, I know you must be very disappointed in your father. Never mind you, I'm just so disappointed in her attitude towards you and your mother." said daddy David, his face looking grim.

"You're right, David! I have disappointed many people, but I promise I will fix everything." said Mr. Kafeel, he grabbed her by the hand and held her in the chest. "Please come back, Maya! Follow me to correct the mistake I have done." he asked.

What did he just say? Well, this old man is really testing my patience. He made a mistake and now he's asking my mom to help fix the mistake she made.

"Can't! Mother will come back with me." I said, standing up and approaching.

I violently forced my mother to let go of her hand-to-hand relationship with Mr. Kafeel and asked her to stand behind me.

"Lily, you hurt your mother!" kafeel said, his eyes focused on my hand which was still firmly grasping my mother's hand.

"I? Hurt mom? You are! You're the one who hurt my mom! I'm just protecting my mom from bad guys like you, Mr. Kafeel." hardened me, with a defiant look.

Mr. Kafeel is weakened. He knew enough not to argue with me. "Well, Dad was wrong! But can you tell Dad what I need to do to get you and your mom back to me?"

The corner of my lips drew a smile, but it was not in harmony with the look in my eyes. There was a blaze in my heart and mind that was ready to burn anyone who had dared ignite it.

"You sure you're gonna do anything?" ask me with my eyes squeaking.

Without hesitation, Kafeel nodded his head. "Sure, Lily! Sure!!!"

"I want you to give back everything you gave me and my mother to Reena and her mother. They have to feel what my mom and I have been feeling all along. Can you do it?" I use a little emphasis in my speech.

For a moment, Kafel looked at her before replying, "as you wish, my daughter."

"I'm not your daughter, as long as there's another one of yours!" my sergeant, then turned around and slightly forced mother to follow my steps.

"Wait, Lily! We all know that Reena is not my daughter." asserted Mr. Kafeel, she even tried to catch mom's wrist.

I looked up and saw him put hope in his eyeballs. For a moment, I understood that blood was indeed thicker than water. My heart was filled to see my father in such a miserable state, but I also had to show him that I was not weak.

"You mean ... You want me to tell everyone the truth about you and Reena?" asked Mr. Kafeel, there was a hint of doubt in his words.

"If you're afraid it'll affect your reputation, then don't do it! Because I just need a father who dares to do anything for his daughter not his reputation."

On the way back home, in the car I kept smiling until Daffin couldn't seem to bother me anymore.

"I'm really jealous of the person who made you smile that sweet," Daffin said, occasionally taking his eyes off the wheel of the car.

The corner of my lips became more and more interested. "Yes, because you'd rather see me angry."

Daffin rubbed his face rough with one hand. "God! You're like a frog in a shell. Always look at the dark side."

"You're mocking me? Because as far as I know the frog has an ugly face," I murmured. But the smile stayed on my face.

"Sugly but adorable" said the spoiled Daffin and pressed his lips forward as if to kiss me.

Oh my God, what else is this? Did Daffin intentionally do that because he wanted to tease me.

I chipped to hide a tinge of shame on my face. "Whatever!"

"Mrs Stevano?" call Daffin.

"Yes?" I looked over and saw Daffin still focusing on driving.

"Are you really sure you want your father to do that to Reena and her mother?" ask Daffin carefully.

"Why? You don't have heart for him? You want to protect her?"

Flashback ...

"All right! I'll do everything you want, Lily." said Mr. Kafeel confidently. "Tell me, what do you want me to do with Reena and Anna?" tanyakanya.

I let go of my mother's hand and stood face to face with Mr. Kafeel. Mr. Kafeel's bead looked at me so closely that I could see my reflection in his eyes. If only the situation wasn't like this, I would have rushed over to hug him.

"First, drive Reena and her mother out of your house because only my mother has the right to be a mistress in that house. Second, I want all the shares you've given Reena to be completely mine. And third, I want you to tell the whole world that Reena is not your daughter. Me! Only I, who was born by your legitimate wife, will be acknowledged by everyone." I said fieryly.

Mr. Kafeel looked doubtful, but soon he blinked and looked at me. "As you wish, Lily."

"Wait on! It's not as easy as you might imagine because I want you to say it in front of the media."

Flashback off ...

Daffin's big hand rubbed my cheek gently. "I don't care about him, but I care about you! To our son! I don't want to do anything bad to you guys."

I breathed long enough to let go of the burden in my heart. "I don't want to make bacteria like Reena thrive just because I let them go. He must feel what my mother and I feel. What it feels like to be unacknowledged, what it feels like to live a hard life without money, and what it feels like to be publicly humiliated for not having parents. Lucky I didn't ask Mr. Kafeel to send him to an orphanage or a nursing home." My lips pursed because I felt Daffin was still worried about his ex-wife.

"Yes .. yes! Mrs Stevano is kind." A gentle rub in my hair, followed by the landing of Daffin's lips on the top of my head. "Come, home! I want to give you the bonus I promised you."
