THERE ARE STILL

Sweet memories that come back to remember when loved ones have not made the heart feel tight until it is difficult to breathe. The absence of a loved one seems to wipe out hope for life.

As I am currently experiencing, my desire to return home to my own home is huge. But when I entered this house, the beautiful shadow of Erlan's brother still alive didn't stop spinning in my memory. I can still feel Erlan's presence inside this house.

I can't keep going like this, I wipe my tears and try to stand up. Brother Erlan would also be sad to see me continue like this. I quickly changed the look of my face to be cheerful and no longer show sadness and slump.

"Excite, Ayasya!" I said confidently while looking at the house where I came home. From now on, this is where I live until my life leaves my body.

In the evening, I felt like I wanted to peek at Daffin's house from behind the window. I want to make sure things are there. Are they looking for me or not? But what if someone realizes it? Ah, I better not take any chances.

All day I was busy cleaning the house that was getting dusty because I left it. Actually this is not a difficult job, it's just that I did it carefully so as not to cause a sound that will attract the attention of people from outside.

The whole house was clean except for the garage and master bedroom. I purposely did not clean the main room because I had not been able to steady my heart. Every time I was there, I always felt that Erlan's brother was alive and with me. I do not want to dissolve in my imagination which will complicate my own life in the future.

After a day of cleaning the house, I went down to the garage to make sure that no animals were nesting there. I slowly turned the key to the kitchen door that was connected to the garage. But what I see now makes me really happy.

"I'm not dreaming, am I?" I muttered while patting both of my cheeks.

Erlan's car is parked neatly in the garage. I circled the car, made sure it was Erlan's car.

"The vehicle's plate is right." I rubbed the slightly dusty black tin. "But why aren't there any scratches here? Didn't I hit Daffin's car that day?" I swiped the front of the car that was supposed to be damaged in an accident a few days ago.

I went back around the car and made sure it was Erlan's car. Nothing has changed, everything is still the same as never a collision.

"Thank you, God." I spread out my arms as if I was hugging Erlan's car.

Suddenly I remembered the things I had left in the car. I tried to open the car door that turned out to be unlocked. Without a second thought I went straight into the car and saw the bag and gift box left by Erlan's brother was still there.

My tears could not hold haru, all the relics of Erlan's brother were still in place. Nothing was missing except for the shoes that Daffin threw away in the hospital trash.

I opened the gift box that Erlan bought on the fateful day, the doll was still wearing the same necklace. I took the necklace and put it on my neck.

"Thank you, Brother Erlan. Aca likes her necklace. "my words are full of love while wiping the necklace that has been attached to my neck.

Without realizing it, the day had gone on and I was still crying over the prize that Erlan gave me in the car. Until the sound of the phone running out of battery distracts me.

Soon I wiped my tears and got out of the car. Do not forget to bring all the valuables into the house. I immediately charged my phone and checked the contents of my phone. It turns out there are many calls from aunt Ratih and also om Rama. They must be very worried about my situation.

"Whose number is this?" I muttered when I found a mobile number that called me many times every day.

"This too. Si-" phone number I tried to remember the owner of that phone number when I saw the picture attached there. "Oh, he's the cop who handled Erlan's case." I remember.

I kept playing my phone and checking some calls and messages that had been ignored. Not many messages were left behind, only messages from Aunt Ratih questioning my whereabouts. I also decided to contact him so that Aunt Ratih no longer worried.

Tut. tut's...

The fourth aunt Ratih just answered my video call. "Good, Aca! Where have you been, honey?" Aunty Ratih's worried face filled my phone screen.

I couldn't say anything, I just cried and looked at Aunt Ratih whom I couldn't hug. It seemed like Aunt Ratih understood my feelings, she just fell silent and let me cry. Long enough we stared at each other through the screens of each other's phones, sobs and tears that filled our conversation that night. Maybe mobile operators are also getting tired of seeing our drama, because suddenly the call is cut off.

"It's so mean!!! I just need someone, why are you guys being mean to me!!!" I shouted, scolding my phone which now shows my picture with brother Erlan.

Before long my phone vibrated because it got a message from Aunt Ratih.

Go back to your hometown, honey.

Om and Aunty will take care of Aca and her future son Erlan.

A smile on my lips was what I wanted from the beginning. I don't want to be alone here and live in the imagination that always makes me think that Erlan's brother is still alive. And more importantly, I can get away from Daffin and all his ruse.

I typed something on my phone screen quickly and accompanied by a happy smile that continued to adorn my face. My dark days are coming to an end. I'm going to start my new life, get back to square one. I put down my phone that was still on and went to my bedroom to tidy up something.

Okay, Tan. Aca will be back home tomorrow morning. The Aca will be back forever.
