DOOR'S BROKEN

The anger that I now feel is more to the stupid attitude of Maya who prefers to go to the tiger cage alone. I don't understand his way of thinking, why he had to harm himself just for something he definitely won't get.

"And you got it?" I asked for a headband reply by Maya. "That means you're just looking for trouble for me." I'm upset.

I saw Maya looking at me expectantly before she lowered her head and sobbed. "I'm sorry, dear, because Mom always makes your life complicated."

Actually, I'm not mad at Maya, but I just regret her unwarranted recklessness.

"No need to apologize. I just don't understand, what are you really thinking? Do you think I want your husband's fortune?" my snide, my footsteps felt heavy when I approached Maya.

Daffin who was sitting next to Maya also stood up to give me space. He did not say a word, even when our gaze met. Daffin was only heard sighing that felt heavy. Huh! Maybe he's getting tired of dealing with the Kafel family's domestic problems. Or maybe he's just starting to get caught up with the people from the Kafel family, including myself. If I am indeed recognized by Mr. Kafeel who is said to be my real father.

Maya was still sobbing as I replaced Daffin to sit next to her. I don't know what she's crying about right now, but neither I nor Daffin are just waiting for Maya to say everything.

"Sorry," Maya finally said after she could master her emotions.

"No need to apologize, Maya, everyone must have made mistakes in his life" said Daffin softly.

The longer I've been with Daffin, the more amazing things he's shown. Starting from his patience and gentleness in the face of my actions. And now he even showed his wisdom in dealing with this matter, but wait a minute! Is there any chance that he's acting calm because he doesn't want to come into contact with Reena? Maybe Daffin still has feelings for Reena.

"Like you and Reena, too" I quipped, a sly smile drawn at the corner of my lips.

"That's just the past, Mrs Stevano, and now I'm trying to fix it" Daffin argued, she looked uncomfortable when I mentioned Reena's name.

I just throbbed, and then turned to look at Maya. "How did Mr. Kafeel react when his own daughter slapped his wife?"

Maya immediately turned her head and looked at me with a frown. "You, honey, you're your father's daughter. Reena is just your father's illegitimate son because up to this point your father hasn't married Reena's mother. Don't ever think that Reena's your father's only daughter!"

If asked how I felt when I found out the truth, I honestly wanted to laugh out loud. However, I'm not like Reena and her mother. I still have a heart that would never betray me.

"What a pity for the mother and child. They've been trying to get rid of me, but they're still in position." The evil grin became my cynical accompanist.

Suddenly Maya's hand clasped mine. I felt a warmth I had never felt before.

"Darling, you are the only daughter of father and mother. Only you have the right to have everything your father has." Maya said, I saw something in Maya's eyes. An ambition.

"Sorry," I pulled back the hand that Maya held. "I never thirst for treasure, all I want in this world is affection because money can't buy happiness."

"Mom knows, honey, but you deserve everything. Moreover, the two of them have made Mother lose you." said Maya, her voice trembling withholding tears.

"It wasn't their fault. If only you had the courage, things wouldn't be like this." I sat up and left Maya, still shocked by what I said.

***

In the room, I kept rolling around and around until the blanket wrapped my body perfectly.

"Aaaaahhhhhh .. I'm sorry!!!" I shouted from the blanket.

The night was getting late, but I still couldn't close my eyes. Something like forcing me to keep my eyes open.

"Mrs Stevano ...."

My ears caught Daffin's voice behind the door. "Daffin?"

"Yes, Mrs Stevano, are you asleep?" tanyanya slow.

"If I'm asleep, then who just said your name?" I nodded at the blanket that covered my body.

I faintly heard Daffin chuckle from behind the door before he returned to tease me. "I thought maybe you had a good dream and said my name in your sleep."

"I've always dreamed of you. Too bad you can't see it." Daffin's crisp laughter sounded so sweet in my ears.

Holy jeez!!! Looks like I'll lose my mind soon if I keep hearing Daffin's bullshit.

"Next time I'll go into your dreams and bring an army of jellyfish to sting you!" my bluff, accompanied by a pretty loud punch at the door.

I subconsciously complained of feeling pain in my hand as a result of me hitting the door quite hard.

"Mrs Stevano? You all right? What the hell's going on? Open door!" Daffin hit the door hard.

"I'm okay, why are you yelling like that? If you want to go in, just go in! Why did I tell you to open the door? You have a big hand. Use that hand!" I replied indifferently, then went back up to the bed.

BRACK ...

Suddenly the door opened forcefully. I turned and saw Daffin who had just lowered his leg. My guess is, he just kicked the door open.

"Hey, why did you break the door?" I asked, when Daffin stepped in.

"Well how else? Looks like that door would rather I force it. He'd rather if I was rude." whispered Daffin.

I didn't realize he was near me because my mind was focused on the door that was broken.

The whisper of Daffin in my ear immediately made me turn my head to leave just a few pauses between my face and Daffin's.

Oh my God, what is this? Why is my heart beating so fast? What if this annoying Plankton hears it? He'll definitely take me to a heart specialist.

My breath and Daffin's were mutually comfortable. I could even feel the warm breath of Daffin on my face as he drew his face closer to me.

When Daffin tilted his head and almost landed his lips on mine, someone suddenly knocked on the door, forcing Daffin to turn his head.

"Geek!" Daffin clucked in annoyance. "Who gave you the courage to bother me?" ask Daffin full of anger.

Hearing the name kanebo mentioned, I turned my head and saw Shaka nodding his head at me.

"I'm sorry, sir, because the door is open so I don't think you're being ..," Shaka seemed so guilty that he couldn't finish his sentence.

"The door's busted! But your eyes aren't broken, are they? You should" said Daffin hanging because I interrupted him.

"Go, Shaka! Or he'll swallow you alive." I'm sure, after a laugh that's out of place.

"Okay, ma'am," Shaka replied then his shadow disappeared as fast as lightning.

"Why did you tell him to leave?" daffin asked, a flash of anger clearly visible in his eyes.

"Because he's innocent" I replied casually.

Daffin. "He's obviously guilty of bothering me."

"Disturb what? The truth is Shaka saved me from your attack."
