The Musafir

The Musafir
Cold Mist

“I don't feel White Wind College is a perverse college. And if indeed the college is perverted, I am not why follow them, but I am very sure the White Wind College is not perverted.”

Not without reason Mantingan said that. He had read the Book of the Blood Wind Palm, it did not teach a person to a heresy, even it contained many lessons of great significance. The lessons are not misleading, it is precisely the lessons that can make humans become true humans and not wild animals. What news was made up so that people believed that White Wind College was a misguided college?

Dara moved quickly from her place to the front of the table that Mantingan had used to read, then Dara lit a fire in the upper lantern. Of course, the room was brightened by the lantern, so there were five people standing in front of Mantingan. Five men in white-and-white uniforms, smeared with white swords on their waists. But the Mantingan could not see their faces, for they all wore masks that covered the whole face. The masks that they wear themselves look like the masks that stage dancers use, have a funny look, but Mantingan knows that they are still dangerous despite wearing funny masks though.

Dara was apparently reading the ejection sheet from the Book of Blood Wind Spots, the look in her eyes was so sharp, she read it quickly to immediately find out what made Mantingan think that way. Shortly after, the open-clothed girl turned around and looked at the people in her room.

“Has it been your decision, Mantingan?” dara asked him, replied with a nod. “Then, I cannot hold you.”

“Do Nyai will disseminate ...”

“No.” Dara immediately shook her head. “No I will tell the others, until I know the truth.” Dara smiled, extending her sword at Mantingan. “According to the decree, you get this sword, and among us there is no debt left.”

The mantan nodded slowly, receiving the sword solemnly.

“Take care of that sword, and take good care of yourself.” Dara laughed softly. “When you know, only you can act so cold to me, I have never been treated like this by anyone else. But this is not too bad.”

The mantelan replied to him with a faint smile.

So departed Mantingan and five warriors from the White Wind College after taking his bundles and coffers. At first they came out of the window, which turned out there had been tethered a horse devoted to the Mantingan, the swift Mantingan riding the horse based on the direction of one of the swordsmen, who had, while the other five warriors will run around using the science of lightening the body on the roofs of houses or on tree branches. The mantle will be directed through whispers channeled into the wind.

Restrained by his horse, the five warriors disappeared instantly into white prowess.

Mantingan made it out of town easily after showing self-identification. The air was completely cold as he darted between the mountains as well as the hills. Fortunately there is no wind that turns even a little, or the air will be cooler than that.

Five White Wind College warriors continued to move behind Mantingan and directed Mantingan's path with a whisper. The moonlight helps the most in this case, it can give its soft light so that the Mantingan does not choose the wrong path.

Mantingan managed to get out of the mountainous region and continued moving westward. The roads began to branch, more and more whispers were channeled into the air for Mantingan. Then the road climbs steeply, until Mantingan thinks this horse will hit the road like a wall, but his white horse can miraculously climb the road very quickly. The horse flew away shortly after completing the steep climb, his body fell back down, on the downhill road no less steep.

If this were daylight, then Mantingan would see that the path he had just passed was a limestone cliff that stood like a fortress, but at night Mantingan can only guess about what path he just went through.

After that the road became flat again, the trees returned lush. Slowly Mantingan and his horse entered the thick fog forest area. This time the Mantingan goosebumps, not out of fear, but because of the cold that really cannot be bargained. Moreover, the Mantingan forgot to put a cloak on his body, so with short-sleeved clothes it was like challenging death.

Mantingan had heard of people dying from the cold. At first the person just shivered, then it would turn into heavy drowsiness, and suddenly his life was lost. Therefore, Mantingan keep his eyes open even though not sleepy though.

As the fog grew thicker, Mantingan's clothes began to get wet. The spell that was originally just goosebumps was now shivering violently. His horse continued to roar without being under the control of Mantingan, as if his eyes could pierce through the mist, and as if he had already paved the way through.

The fingers of the Mantingan felt very stiff, and Mantingan was sure his breath this time let out a cold steam. Slowly the drowsiness began to creep up, immediately the Mantingan took action by knocking his own ear so as not to sleep and die.

People say, just a short sleep in conditions like this will directly deliver humans to the afterlife.

As a fairly experienced traveler, Mantingan had experienced a similar situation once. At that time he was at the foot of the mountain at night, suddenly the rain flushed and Mantingan recklessly broke through the rain. Before long Mantingan shivered violently, drowsiness also rampaged first, but thankfully the cold disappeared when the rain stopped and his clothes dried.

But in such a situation it was clearly different, everywhere there was a cold mist, and the Mantingan kept crashing into the fog. It was colder this time than it was at the foot of the mountain. So now his sleepiness comes much faster and much more intense.

The louder the Mantang tapped his ear, but his hand could not feel it anymore. The toes and hands of the mantingan are completely numb. The Mantang teeth continued to tremble, bluffing against each other. Mantingan's eyes occasionally closed for a short time. He began to worry.

The worried Manten, the warriors behind him do not realize that the Mantingan is currently in great danger, and they may consider the Mantingan to be a strong human being, so it does not need help.

That last moment the fog began to thin, until it could see the trees around. Of course with the depletion of fog, cold air is also thinning. The horse still continued to roar; the Mantian again felt his fingers, the bites on his body also subsiding.
