The Musafir

The Musafir
Grandma Genih

THE OLD WOMAN smiled warmly and flicked her arms, saying that it was not something to think about. “Grandmother here is just a stick of kara, your arrival here is a blessing for me.”

The North River Angel responded with a small laugh before returning to thank him. The grandmother told Mantingan that her name was Genih, so Mantingan could call her that if she wanted to. Grandma Genih then left Mantingan and the North River Angel both in the room, let the North River Angel explain to Mantingan about what happened, as well as make room for Mantingan to eat.

The North River Angel cleared his throat once before saying to Mantingan, “I actually don't need to tell you what happened in detail. But let me just cut it short. So, that kind Granny Genih found us stranded by the river. He said he tried to wake you up, but you didn't wake up either. Until I was woken up by him, we carried you all the way here.”

Mantingan was silent for a moment before nodding in understanding. He thanked the North River Angel for bothering to carry him here.

“Ah, you are like being with anyone ..” The Northern River Angel laughed. “Now, you have to tell me about what happened to me. I only remember when the road I was walking on collapsed and I fell into the abyss. And I don't know why you and I could suddenly be stranded by the river. To me, it doesn't make sense.”

Mantingan nodded and opened his mouth about to speak, but first the Northern River Angel held him back.

“Shortly, before that you should eat.” The girl lifted the bowl back on the mattress, along with a wooden spoon ready to deliver warm porridge to Mantingan's mouth.

But Mantingan shook his head. “Saudari, I cannot be fed by you, let me eat alone later after the body can be moved.”

The North River's angel shook strongly. “Mantingan, you've been unconscious for a week, your stomach should be filled as soon as you realize.”

The mantle frowned. One week he was unconscious, deserved almost his whole body could not be moved. And his stomach feels almost tasteless. The mantan is hungry and needs energy, but it is impossible if he should be fed to the North River Angel. The girl had a lover who was always waiting for her in Champa, Mantingan felt bad if the relationship with the North River Angel was even closer.

But on the other hand, Mantingan still need food as a filler. Or his body could get worse. Currently, the only way to obtain it was by being fed by the Northern River Angel. The mantel inhaled awkwardly.

“Now open your mouth.”

Mantingan. The Northern River Angel looked at him sharply while thrusting the tip of the spoon. The mantan again took a deep breath, now he was slowly thrown away. Finally he opened his mouth, receiving a bribe from the North River Angel.

“Is it too hot?”

The slightly weak mantan shook his head. Although it is actually quite hot on the tongue, but let it overcome with deep energy rather than the North River Angel blowing for it.

The activity lasted a long time. Even though Mantingan was being fed, but the direction of his eyes did not face directly on the North River Angel. In contrast to the Northern River Angel who continued to look at him meaningfully. Mantingan had never eaten with this kind of feeling before.

After the food ran out and Mantingan was given drinking water, Mantingan opened his mouth again to tell him what had happened. Of course Mantingan did not tell about how he captured the North River Angel and embraced it, only the part when they faced the river current that Mantingan told him in full.

However, the North River Angel is not stupid to miss an important part. “How can you catch me in the dark?”

Mantingan answered quickly, “With the help of Lontar Cahyaa of course."

“Then? That all? Does the Light Throw help people fly?"

“Indeed, what's wrong if you do that? What's wrong with saying that?"

The mantel could not answer that for a long time. He thought of the right answer for the North River Angel. He himself was puzzled as to why the Little Angel of the North River had so boldly said that to him, while his lover in Champa was still alive. Until finally, Mantingan decided to talk seriously to the young woman.

“Saudari Sungai, of course it is wrong. I hugged you when you fell, but you already had a partner in Champa. Even if you don't have a partner, I shouldn't have done that. Sister of the North River, aren't you mad I did that sassy thing to you?”

The Northern River Angel brought the face closer to Mantingan until the young man could feel his breath, saying with a gentle whisper, “Mantingan, were you unconscious before? I always love your touch.”

The mantle looked back sharply. “Then what about your lover in Champa, North River Angel?”

“Mantingan, he's not in.”

“Sister, your actions are wrong!”

“I don't care if this is wrong or not, Mantingan. If you so swept away me, what can I do not be lulled by your tenderness?”

The mantel wants to move. But dear thousand, he cannot!

“Sister, please stay away.” That's all Mantingan can say.

“Sadly my heart knows you don't like my existence, Mantingan.” The Northern River Angel took a step back with a disappointed look. “I'm sorry if I force my will on you. Really forgive. Sometimes I can't control myself.” The Angel of the North River revealed a smile, a sad smile. “I'll be out, if there is need just call me.”

The girl turned around and walked out the door quickly. The mantan could only stare him away and let out a long sigh. He was really tormented if he saw someone else hurt by it.

At times like this, comes the voice of Rara that he had long expected. “Mantingan, do you remember the message from Kiai Guru Kedai?”

Hearing that voice, Mantingan immediately smiled. Wanting her to be quiet, enjoying Rara's voice no matter how beautiful it sounded in her mind. However, the Mantingan must still answer if it does not want the sound to disappear again.

“Of course. I reminded clearly, like I remember you clearly in my head.”

Rara laughs. “Now, tell me what it is.”

Mantingan smiled before answering, “Kiai Guru Kedai once said, ‘You will be approached by many women, but do not let you take many women for no apparent reason’.”

“At first you didn't believe those words, but now it's proven,” Rara's laugh.

“At least, I don't take other women.”
