The Musafir

The Musafir
Remembering the Promise

THIS IS the last EXERCISE of the North River Angel to be able to master the Blood Wind Tread Stage as a whole. Bersamadhi is done so that the knowledge that was originally studied is really absorbed. Not easily forgotten. Bersamadi was also done so that the Northern River Angel really understood his purpose using the Blood Wind Palm Technique.

Mantingan also did the same when he was under the training of Kiai Guru Kedai. But unlike the Northern River Angel, he only needed a week to master the entire stages of the Blood Wind Palm. Therefore, it takes longer to stay.

They had been cross-legged all day on the rock. No matter the heat of the sun or the cold of the night. Kana and Kina were of course entrusted to Wiranti who immediately closed her shop to welcome the two children. Mak now, Mantingan can calmly train the Northern River Angel; and the girl can calmly train herself.

The mantel opened his eyes. “I think it's enough for today.”

The North River did that. Even though it was very dark, Mantingan could still see the brilliance that radiated in the girl's eyes. The mantle took out a sheet of ejection from within the pocket of his robe. The throw is bent until it makes a sound, then light up! The mantan raised the Light Throw over his head, successfully uncovering the surroundings. It is the only lighting in the forest.

The Angel of the North River looked around. The atmosphere that was once creepy is now replaced into an atmosphere that suppresses the eyes and ears. The light changes everything. The dark becomes dim.

The shrub looks beautiful under the sweep of the wind. So do the trees. The leaves fell from above it. Which will cause fertile soil to be overgrown with trees. Although the sky is neither starry nor moonless, the atmosphere can still be enjoyed.

The Angel of the North River was so amazed that he felt like friendship until the sun greeted him. But he knew it couldn't happen. And it's hard to happen. What if at midnight suddenly the clouds cry?

“It's night, Sister. We have to go back to the village.” Mantingan invited Bidadari Sungai Utara home. “If there is another chance, we will come back here. Where the sky is clear of clouds. So that the stars and a moon appear in the dark sky.”

Mantingan suddenly remembered his promise to Kenanga. What a beautiful night. Yep. He promises Kenanga will see a beautiful night. Where the sky is sprinkled with stars, and a moon is set in the night sky. Where the night will come fills half a day, unlike the world where Kenanga is locked up. His memory of that promise.

“You will see a beautiful night, with the moon, stars, crickets, and fireflies. I promise,” he said on the second floor bridge with Kenanga at that time. Under the starless night sky.

And then, Mantingan felt her chest tightened by guilt. How long has she been leaving Kenanga? It must have lasted more than three years. Three years! Mantingan completely forgot that he had left Kenanga for more than three years.

If he can still adventure freely. You can taste a variety of fresh air. Seeing something new. Meet new people. What about Kenanga there?

Quite the contrary. The girl's locked up. Unable to taste the fresh air, the air he breathes the same every day. See anything new? Other than the lake, what other interesting things could he see? And how does he meet people?

And all that suffering must be borne by Kenanga for three years!

The mantan is so careless. He really was unconscious. I feel like time just passes by. Like a blink of an eye. Without realizing it, his adventure was already too long. Kenanga was almost forgotten. Mantingan forgets that Kenanga was the one who made it this far, he also forgets that the girl who raised his life back.

The conscious mantan, himself promises too many things that are not necessarily obtainable. At that time, he had only hope. Capitalize on the hope he promised to find Kembangmas. And now, even when he has the power, the kembangmas are still undiscovered.

And also remembered the traveler, that he had made a decision to stay away from human life. It happened after Rara was killed. At that time, meeting humans was a big mistake. He did that to hold himself back from making false promises. However, after training under the guidance of Kiai Guru Kedai, Mantingan is not afraid to meet humans anymore. Not afraid to make promises.

Mantingan is a young man who easily promises others. Full confidence that all promises can be fulfilled. But in reality, Mantingan is negligent in fulfilling the promise.

If a promise is a debt, then a lot of forests are overdue for payment.

Stared by him the figure of the North River Angel who looked confused. The girl asked, “Brother, why daydream?”

Really, Mantingan is not daydreaming. He can even hear every crackle of leaves and weeds around him. The mantan was indeed immersed into his mind; on the other hand he remained conscious.

“Nothing, Sister.” Under the Light Throw, Mantingan put on his warm smile. The cold night seemed to disappear.

The Northern River Angel also returned his smile. He wasn't wearing a veil.

“Let's go home soon.”

Mantingan and the North River Angel darted. Disappeared from the surface of the huge stone dome.

***

ALL Mantingan MUST do is fulfill his new promises before fulfilling his old promises. He had to make sure that the North River Angel, Cana, and Kinas were safe to the other side, in the safer land of Champa than Tarumanagara. And before that, he had to get rid of the black faction pirates who controlled the Wind Bell Village.

Until what is done for days later is to develop a strategy for the liberation of this village. Until all the plans are made. Mantingan is just waiting for the right time for its implementation.

During the wait for the right time, for a few days later Mantingan spent to teach Kana the science of sword. The boy should be able to protect his sister, as a real man.

Until recently, Kana touched her wooden sword more often than literary works. Mantingan trained him hard and disciplined, so that the child felt he did not have time to read literary works.

Mantingan told Kana to reduce her nightly sleep ration, so that she had enough time to read literary works. Kana just shook her head in response.
