The Musafir

The Musafir
Continue the Journey In The Hallway

THE MANTANG LOWERED his head, slightly sideways to the right. He escaped from the tip of the venomous tail of the great scorpion. Just a little late moving, the Mantingan will lose his head and life. Whereas when he managed to avoid the attack, Mantingan's body still drove forward. Due to his head lowered, Mantingan could not attack in a clear direction, so he chose to rotate several times in the air before preparing to attack again.

Now the Mantingan faces itself on the tail of the king of scorpions, while the tip of the tail is far behind the body of Mantingan. With an unusually quick and precise movement, the Mantingan slashed at the tail rod. Until two separate. A very very fast occurrence but slow in his vision, so that after cutting the tail it has not fallen down.

The mantle rotated again in the air, its legs now on top while its head was on the bottom. The mantan stared intently at the king's eyes of the magnificent scorpion head showing great anger. Without waiting any longer, the Mantan swung the Kiai Kedai Sword until it sliced the head of the scorpion to its deepest part.

Manten floated briefly in the air before his feet returned to touch the cold rocks. The huge scorpion's tail fell without bleeding due to the sliver of the Mantingan sword very quickly and so neatly. The scorpion king stopped moving, and would never be able to move on his own again.

Now he looks ahead. There were the hisses of other little scorpions angry at the death of their leader. Of course the anger was shown on Mantingan, who had clearly killed their leader with his sword.

Manten breathed a long breath a moment later. He really doesn't like doing this.

These scorpions are actually innocent, they just feel threatened by the existence of the Mantingan and the North River Angel. Including the leader of this scorpion, it is not wrong to attack Mantingan, this one scorpion king has dared to come forward to protect the scorpion under his leadership.

“With all my respect and with all my apologies, I let you go forward.” The mantan said quietly, pointing the Kiai Kedai Sword in the face.

As to understand what Mantingan said, although it never really understood, hundreds of small-sized scorpions advanced simultaneously. The moving mantant quickly attached a piece of Magic Throw to his sword. Like a fire that meets oil, his sword ignites a blazing fire. The mantang remained standing steadfastly waiting for the hundreds of scorpions to get closer to him.

***

It is not too difficult to call the Northern River Angel in a passageway that along its path is almost unbranched. The mantan only needed to shout loudly once, and with his sharp hearing he could hear the sound of the steps of the North River Angel approaching.

Not long after that, the trunk of the nose of the North River Angel was also visible. He looked around Mantingan with an anxious look, finding something completely harmless. Then the direction of his eyes pay attention to the condition of Mantingan himself, which in fact is fine as well. Without a doubt the Northern River Angel ran over, but he did not stop, just clutching Mantingan tightly.

The mantel could only hold his breath. Again this happens. The North River Angel is difficult to guess the way of his mind. Yesterday, he said he wanted to go home only for his girlfriend in Champa. But now, the girl hugged Mantingan, for the second time as well.

Facing this situation, Mantingan certainly did not reply to the North River Angel's response. It would be crazy if he replied with a hook. Let the girl finish what she wants to accomplish, but not with a Mantingan. There was still Rara who should not die in his mind. Don't let Rara—who forever loved her—be jealous.

Shortly thereafter the Angel of the North River took off his embrace. Unlike the first time he hugged Mantingan, now the girl did not hesitate to look directly into the eyes of Mantingan. The Northern River Angel smiled widely, then patted Mantingan's shoulder a few times without taking his eyes off.

“You are great. Somehow if you're not around, I've been dead many times. Thank you, Mantingan."

The Northern River Angel raised his two eyebrows and chuckled. "Can I hug you?”

Now Mantingan's smile turned into a horrified smile. “Didn't you already?”

“Now again.”

“But for what?”

The Northern River Angel laughed again. “Because your body is warm and cuddly.”

The mantle moved back a few steps. Given how they were not alone in this cave, there was Gusti who was watching them.

Kiai Guru Kedai has said, that Gusti is not located in a certain place. Not also tangible. It has no voice. But Gusti exists, in the form of rules in the universe. If you do that, then the reward is that. That's called the rule, so the universe is always in equilibrium.

So if Mantingan does something excessive with the North River Angel, with Gusti seeing it or not, he will get his reward. And the reward he got must have been bad.

“Saudari North River, we can not linger silent, keep walking.” That was all Mantingan said before he turned around and walked over.

The Northern River Angel smiled widely and walked quickly closer to Mantingan. They passed through the piles of charred scorpions that Mantingan managed to defeat almost everything. The Northern River Angel stared in horror at the hundreds of charred scorpions, their bodies fused with other bodies in an already shapeless state. The scorched aroma filled his kiss.

It took a while before the two made it through all of the charred scorpions. Mantingan walked with a gloomy look, The Northern River Angel was mature enough to understand that gaze, but he could do nothing but look at her pityingly.

Some time later they walked in silence, again encountering two intersections. This time Mantingan clearly knows which path to choose.

“The left path is the nest of the scorpions earlier, probably only young scorpions left there.” Mantingan paused for a moment, saying in a soft voice before returning to walk.

Rara's voice rang out again in her mind. “Mantingan, you always blame yourself for the death of other creatures. Know that without you resisting, you and the Angel of the North River will be cut off. I'm sure if you hadn't fought back, you'd have been more sorry.”

The coat only gave a thin smile without retaliating anything. His mind was currently being uneasy to talk to, even to Rara though. How he thought about the number of scorpions he had killed, and how uncertain was the fate of the young scorpions left in their nests.
