The Musafir

The Musafir
Thousands of Fire Arrows

MANTINGAN does not reduce let alone stop the movement of the pace. Although the scene far ahead there had actually been enough to frighten him, but Mantingan was not at all daunted.

Thousands—or maybe even tens of thousands—a fiery arrow slid towards him. Mantingan was not sure if he could afford to avoid it all in the middle of the ocean like this, but his concern for the Northern River Angel had defeated his fear altogether.

The number of fiery arrows certainly did not appear from any place, but from enemy ships hiding behind the darkness of the night. When the arrows were lit just before being thrust into the air, Mantingan could see the ships to the south.

The enemy party that attacked him had done a mature calculation so that tens of thousands of arrows were able to point to the Mantingan despite being shot at high speed.

But now, Mantingan lowered his speed a little because he had to face the arrows. His sword swirled quickly over his head like a propeller, dispelling all the arrows that were about to hit his body all out like there was no more soft target in the ocean than him.

Not all of them can be repelled by the Kiai Kedai Sword, there are still one or two arrows that escape the sword rotation. Because after all, the Mantingan still has to move as fast as possible while he continues to fend off. Arrows not only come from the top, but also from the front, which is attached with a special tool in the form of a large bow so that it is able to reach up to the farthest distance even though the arrow it carries is actually larger than usual.

However, it was fortunate that not a single arrow had managed to injure the Mantingan. Although there are several arrows that escape, but that does not mean that the arrows are really pointing at the body of Mantingan.

The first wave of attacks had been exhausted to coincide with the last arrow that sank in the ocean. The swift mantle spurred his speed because he knew that the second wave of attack was coming soon, which meant that his speed had to decrease when it happened!

Sure enough, the fiery arrows were again crushed. It was like a thousand fireflies flying about in a row; streaking across the sky as fast as an eagle. However, this time the arrows did not lead to Mantingan, so there was nothing that really harmed him.

The mantan knows well, that the enemy is not wrong to make calculations to be thrown in which direction and in what angle of inclination so that the arrows can be shot towards him, but this kind of action was deliberately done because the distance between the Mantingan with their fleet of ships was really close so sending arrows in proper calculation could be considered a matter that endangers their own fleet. The arrows were bolted so that the Mantingan would not retreat.

It didn't take long for Mantingan to arrive at the enemy fleet's territory. Although the night sky was completely dark, and not a single ship showed any light. But with the Science of Hearing Dew Drops, Mantingan learned that there were about two hundred enemy warships forming a triangular row that moved towards the combined fleet of Tarumanagara and White Wind College.

The arrows were thrown back at him. This time it was not launched first into the sky in hopes of soaring up to finally hit the Mantingan after plunging down, but was directly hurled at him without a truly mature calculation.

The arrows were milling around Mantingan. There were only a few that actually led to and harmed him, but it all managed to be fended off so easily.

In complete darkness, his enemies were unable to know the existence of Mantingan clearly. They are only able to rely on sharp hearing knowledge that is not how much. So that when he heard the sound of greatness, then immediately they shot arrows at the prowess.

Moreover, Mantingan moves at a speed faster than lightning, certainly not an easy thing for an arrow expert even to be able to shoot it precisely.

The mantle kept moving fast. Passed dozens of enemy ships on both sides. The fiery arrows were still milling about, even with arrows that were not fiery but were laced with deadly poison.

He continued to pursue the figure of the swordsman who had brought him here. He was sure that the man had brought the Angel of the North River!

Unfortunately, beliefs mixed with anxiety and haste will only make common sense closed off.

The mantan was completely unaware that the warrior's figure had led him into the midst of the enemy fleet. He also did not think of a reason why the swordsman did not decide to hide on one of the ships in the outer row rather than having to let himself be pursued by the Mantingan, which is the same as being chased by death!

The Flying FISH looked further. If his vision was not wrong, then only had his eyes caught red dots of light far south of the ocean.

“I often see sights like this,” said Flying Fish later on one of his subordinates. “It was fiery arrows. But it does not lead at all to our fleet. What say?”

His subordinate next to him nodded his head. “My guess is like that too, Flying Fish.”

“Are those arrows not meant to attack our fleet?”

This time the subordinate shook his head, then replied, “It seems that the attack was not meant for us at all. Except for Hero Man who did move south ..”.

The flying fish remained silent. It did not seem at all that he was surprised. He just said, “The enemy is in sight.”

“Do you want me to prepare Kelewang Samodra for battle, O Flying Fish?” Ask his subordinates.

“To face which enemies?”

The person cleared his throat several times before patiently answering, “The enemy that has been before our eyes, the Flying Fish. On the south.”

“The fires are so far away. Our enemies to the south are still far away. It is wrong for you to say that they are in plain sight.”

His subordinates chose silence and wait. He did know that the habits of the Flying Fish were slightly different from those of other expert warriors. Even Flying Fish had got the nickname “Crazy Sailors from Sagandu” due to his attitude and courage which is classified as strange and crazy.

“What I call an enemy in plain sight is an enemy that is really close to us.” The Flying Fish then looked at his subordinates sharply. “Fuck, prepare the White Mask Team to search the entire ship in this fleet. Everything, without exception!”

Now begin to understand the person called Jagat it about ‘enemies in front of the eyes’ implied by Flying Fish.

“His Majesty's ship is not included in the exception?”

“Not at all. Search the ship as well. We cannot guarantee that the ship is free from intruders. Ensure the safety of Your Majesty anyway.”

The jagat nodded his head. “I understand and I do, Flying Fish.”
