The Musafir

The Musafir
Red Frogs and Betrayal

CAKRAWARMAN moved down the stairs towards the base deck, when he heard the sound of clapping, which however faint could still be caught by his ears.

Cakravarman stopped the step of the goods for a moment. He sharpened his hearing in hopes of being able to catch such a sound once again.

The clash was indeed very reasonable to sound inside the warship filled with hundreds of soldiers with battle spirit. But it can still be considered natural if the clash came from men, then what was heard by Cakravarman was just the opposite.

He heard a female voice. It was clear that what he heard was the sound of a female clashing, which was the same as meaning that there was some impropriety on this ship!

The clashing sound appeared once again, this time more clearly than before.

“Please! Please!”

Cakravarman immediately finished off the stairs with one flashing. On the base deck that the soldiers were busy preparing for the war, Cakravarman asked one of the soldiers nearby.

“Oh warrior, excuse me who interfered to ask,” said, “Was the woman on this ship?”

The soldier immediately knelt when he knew that the one who asked him to speak was Cakravarman, the mahapatih Tarumanagara and the younger brother of Sri Punawarman.

“Not at all, Sire. Maybe your Majesty misheard.” The soldier answered so nervously that he did not realize that his words contained a great error!

“Ah, you also heard it?” Cakravarman asked with a look of astonishment. “Kukira, only myself heard that voice.”

“Really, Your Majesty!” The soldier answered quickly. His heart seemed to be back beating after it had previously stopped. “We all heard it, but upon inspection, we did not find any woman in any form. But this is not surprising anymore for us, Your Majesty, because the Red Frog is famous for having the spirit of the waiting!”

“Really do you believe in such a thing?” Cakravarman flicked his hands while laughing softly. “Already, you are back to work.”

“Create, Sire.” The soldier crawled backwards before passing away.

Cakravarman decided to go around, checking one after another the big bows that were on the ground deck. After making sure that there was not a single bow he missed, the Tarumanagara mahapatih went from the base deck.

But when the direction of departure is not towards the upper deck, then some of the warriors who had been hiding in the shadows came out of hiding and followed him by sneaking.

Cakravarman continued to walk between the dark alleys. The torches were attached to the walls of the passageway, but only a few were lit.

“Take care of your request, motherfucker! Anyone please!”

Cakravarman began to flicker, when he heard the sound of prowess right behind him!

Cakravarman pulled out a pair of swords on his back before turning around to the back. Very very quickly, he twisted the two swords like a propeller. Throw out a dozen poisonous needles that would sharpen his body all out if not fended off with great precision and speed!

Mahapatih Tarumanagara immediately flashed away without trying to face the figures of warriors who chased him from behind. Cakrawarman is not afraid, but he knows that facing them is a waste of time, while the time left for him is not much.

Cakravarman continued to flutter in the hallways of the Red Frog Ship, following the voice of the woman asking for help which was heard more and more clearly.

Stop in front of a room door. The place where the sound was heard was very clear and loud. Cakravarman quickly thrust his sword into the doorknob, intending to smash the door into thousands of pieces.

“Mantra magic!”

Cakravarman had to pull back his pair of swords to deal with the figures of the swordsmen chasing after him.

Meanwhile, on the deck of the ship, Officer Hanung finished organizing the archer troops to form a line. The arrows they would use were of two types; the fiery arrows and the arrows were not fiery but poisonous. The entire army was on standby to fire, as most of the enemy ships had entered the Denawa Line.

Denawa Net Line itself is a form of semicircular rows that to be able to carry it out will be needed at least a hundred medium-sized ships.

With a semi-circular shape, the enemy will be allowed to enter into it, or chase the enemy to get into it. And after the enemy got into the trap, the fleet quickly tightened up to form a full circle, so that the enemy was confined in it.

Although this type of arrangement is ancient, but proven reliable to deal with attacks. Enemies that have entered will not be easy to come out again.

Officer Hanung is actually still in a state of anxiety is not a reed kepalang, because however Cakrawarman still has not returned to the upper deck, plus Arya who has not yet seen the trunk of his nose.

The officer was worried that Cakravarman would find the North River Angel in his ship; on the other hand he was just as worried that Arya would be miscellaneous with the North River Angel before him who did that.

However, he still did not hear the commotion on the ground deck. Moreover, his soldiers reported that all the weapons there were ready for use.

The enemy fleet is getting closer. It appeared that the troops on their ships were ready to fire fiery arrows. So like it not like, Officer Hanung will carry out his role which can be said to be quite important in this battle.

“Wait for aba-aba!” Officer Hanung raised his hand. Anyone knew that when his hands were swiftly flicked down, hundreds of arrows would swerve from the Red Frog Ship. “GUN!!”

Along with the clash, hundreds of arrows were darted off the deck of the ship. But the only thing that fired the arrow at that time was the Red Frog Ship, not a single ship from the combined fleet did that because there was no sign of the Samodra Kelewang. Even the enemy army has not shot its arrow!

Until it appeared that the arrows were not one of the enemy ships, but friendly ships that had no preparation at all to face such treachery!

But after firing the arrows, the Red Frog Ship shook violently! A huge explosion emerged from the base deck. Instantly a fire was created, creeping madly all over the ship.

Officer Hanung was surprised not the reed. No one shot at them, and how could his ship shake and burn like hundreds of arrows?

The entire swordsman on the deck became confused and distraught. Especially when the screams of the death of their friends on the base deck. At once the archer's army was split apart, picking up buckets on the edge of the deck to put out the fire.

In the midst of the chaos, a soldier came to Officer Hanung with a quick run.

“Panal ... arrow ... deviated!” The soldier said with a disjointed breath. It appears that fatigue and anxiety have been the cause.

“Say clearly!” Officer Hanung snapped violently, making the soldier strangely detached from his stuttering.

“The arrows deviated from the bow! Ship wall is targeted!”
