"Sister will help your sister as much as possible.” The mantle shows a warm smile. “Now, show where the room is.”
“Follow me!”
MANTAN RAN following the boy while his left hand held up the Light Magic Throw. They ascended the stairs with the lights of the Light Throw. The boy darted very nimbly avoiding the hollow steps, as if he had passed through this ladder a thousand times, so that it was already poultice. While Mantingan was left quite far behind, when he had just reached the corner of the stairs, the boy had already reached the second floor.
After catching up with him, Mantingan again followed the boy towards a room on the second floor.
The room was the only room that had lights. A small torch. Also, be the cleanest. Mantingan found the figure of another small child lying weakly on a weathered mattress, covered and shivering. Beside the mattress, there were many containers of water and several pieces of dried fruits.
The mantan did not wait any longer, he knew what to do, just went straight to the lying child. The boy's body paled and shivered violently, his eyes half-open—show an empty look.
The mantel put his palm onto the surface of the boy's forehead. It's so hot for a little boy's forehead. The mantan immediately took out a fever-reducing herb inside its bundle. Although the herb is useful for lowering fever caused by toxins, it does not hurt to try.
The mantel opened the roof of the potion and placed it on the boy's lips. Ask him to open his mouth. The boy could understand even in his semi-conscious state, he opened his lips. The liquid from the potion entered into it.
Only half the roof is left. He did not dare to give the child more potions that might cause poisoning. The mantle again closed the herb roof and put it back into the bundle. Then he turned to face the sick boy's brother.
“Sister wants to know, what is your name?”
The boy thought Mantingan had helped his sister, so he did not hesitate to answer. “My name is Kana.”
Mantian nodded. “Then your sister?”
“Kina.”
“She's female?”
“Yes, it's just that ever since she was sick I cut her hair.”
“Why?”
“My parents said first, it could be useful to ward off evil spirits.”
The mantle patted his forehead and hissed. “Then where are your parents?”
“Have left the world.”
Mantingan is actually not too surprised considering the state of these two boys is not okay, but he still displays a sense of grief. “Died? Because what?”
“Custom. War.”
“Where was your home earlier?”
“In a small village, a bit far from here. My sister and I ran away while our parents held back the front door. At that time the one who ran away was not me, but a coward.”
“Your parents have made a great sacrifice. If you talk like this, won't they be disappointed?”
The boy could only bow and mumble, “I can't believe those who are dead can hear me.”
“We don't know, and we actually can't justify a guess without a foundation of science.”
“Then, wasn't Brother just guessing too? My parents can hear me, it's impossible. When I screamed and called them back here, they didn't come. Had they heard me, they would have come a long time ago.”
“You shouldn't regret that.”
“I should have helped my parents hold the door.”
“And you're dead. And your sister too.”
“But you guys died silly, caused by yourself.”
Kana, who had turned her head to fight back, now looked down again. Mantingan understands the attitude of this boy is a rebel. But a rebel if guided in a good direction, he will not rebel for good things. Mantingan felt regretful Kana had been abandoned by her parents at such an early age.
“How old are you now?”
“Twelve, maybe.”
“And your sister?”
“Agrid two years.”
The mantle nodded slowly. He glanced at Kina—adik Kanae— who was still lying down. Now the child's body is no longer shivering and not pale. A good change.
“See your sister,” says Coat. “The situation is improving.”
Kana approached her sister and touched Kina's forehead with the back of her hand. He smiled happily.
“Kina's condition will improve. This brother is talking to you in front.”
“Why not just here, Brother? Isn't it dirty outside?”
“That's what you want to discuss with you, Kana.” Mantingan took off all his luggage and stood up. “Cute Sister.”
Kana could only obey, as it seemed like the Mantingan did not receive any more rebuttal. They went down, passed the stairs quietly, and came out of the house after the Mantan took the Sword Kiai Kedai.
“What do you see, Kana?”
Kana closed her eyes. “Ambushes and grass.”
“Not that I mean.” Mantingan. “What do you see from all these bushes?”
Kana took time to think. Look back at the thick shrubs that grow around the house.
“I see this is reasonable.”
“If we are now in the forest, this is natural,” he said. “But you and Brother are at home.”
“This is chaotic.” Kana retaliated.
“Kakak also saw the same.” The mantel took a deep breath. “Kakak will stay at this house, Kana, for a while. Brother wants all this chaos back into regularity.”
“Do my sister and I have to leave if you want to stay here?”
“Do not have. You and your brother can stay here. And talkin', we're both hitchhiking here. Homeowner asks Brother not to kick you guys out.”
“We don't want to be pitied, we can go right now.”
“Sister doesn't pity you guys. Absolutely not.” The mantan looked at the boy deeply. “Kakak wants to make a partnership with you.”
The boy stared at Mantingan deeply. “What cooperation?”
“We're tidying up all this mess. Then we built a beautiful flower garden. We sell the flowers, our profit for two.”
“Clean all this? What can? We need sickles, hoes, machetes, burnt, cows to eat rum—”
Not yet had the boy finished his words, Mantingan had already moved first.
