The Musafir

The Musafir
The Darkness and Instinct

MANTINGAN entered the mouth of the cave by carrying a bundle and a cage containing white pigeons to send a message—bird that was named Si Putih by Tapa Balian.

The more he stepped into the cave, the more darkness enveloped him. Not much sunlight can get in.

Mantingan immediately plugged the Science of Hearing Dew Drops to see the contents of the cave further although his eyes were not able to penetrate into the darkness, but the science was not able to work at all.

Mantingan is not surprised and not surprised, because things like this have been predicted since the beginning. The cave he entered was no ordinary cave, which was no longer surprising or surprising if found a trapping magic spell or something.

The mantle continued to walk in without flashing. The darkness was so dense, but instinct led him to walk without hitting anything.

On the ceiling of the cave, though invisible, Mantingan knew that there had been so many bats hanging there. They are the ones who cause this cave to smell so fragrant.

Goa then turns to the right, so the steps of the Mantingan immediately winding to the right even though it is not known that the cave has been winding.

After that twist, the darkness that enveloped him grew increasingly dense. No sunlight managed to barge in, which meant no illumination at all.

The real mantan still had at least five pieces of Light Magic Throw, but he was sure that any magic would never be able to work in this place. Then let the darkness embrace his body, and let the feet continue to walk according to his instincts.

The steps turn again, but this time it leads to the left side. He also felt that the streets were declining, with the sound of water drops being heard everywhere.

After a while, the road turns back to the right. This time, Mantingan saw a glimmer of light far in front of him. Even though it is just a small light, which may be the size of a pinhole only, the light is still light. In a darkness so dense as this, even a light as small as the tip of a hair would still be precious.

Despite seeing the light, Mantingan did not immediately run fast towards him. Although his chest was so passionate as to ask his feet to run immediately, Mantingan still held him. In this deep darkness, let instincts guide him. He will arrive on time safely, as long as he is in no hurry. He certainly cannot guarantee whether his surroundings are free from sharp stones that are able to cut human flesh and bones as gently as cutting a mere leaf.

The mantle kept going. The glimmer of light is not getting bigger, it is getting dimmer. He began to worry if at any time the light disappeared without a trace, but still refrained from acting rashly and still running according to instinct. Not running or flashing. No matter how dark, it often covers what is, and ultimately leads to lostness.

The road began to climb, Mantingan could really feel it, but the glimmer of light that was also a ray of hope was still visible in front of him, as if the light was lifted up as the road climbed.

The mantel continued to step and step. This time he began to meet difficulties, because the rocks he stepped on became very slippery by the water flowing from above. Several times the Mantingan slipped, but luckily his hand was still fast enough to reach the cracks of the surrounding rocks so as not to fall down.

After climbing, the road field back flat despite being inundated with water that reached the height of the eyes. So cold the water that soaked his feet. If the Mantingan stopped moving for a while, it felt like the water would freeze its legs to become as hard as a rock!

As he continued to move, he kept moving. By continuing to move, his feet will feel so warm despite being in the freezing water. But by continuing to move forward, the Mantian cannot change his mind and turn back. His instincts did not lead him home.

The mantle is still running. Slowly the water that was originally only as high as the limit of the foot began to rise to the knee. His body began to shiver. Both of his legs were getting harder to move. His head was filled with a sense of anxiety that was not the reed of the braids.

Bad thoughts began to stir the young man. Extremely bad, coupled with deep darkness and immense loneliness!

What if this cave turns out to be a trap that was deliberately made for him? What if the story ends today? What if Kenanga would never get the Kembangmas she wanted?

In the silent darkness

never trust anything other than your own instincts

And so the Mantingan continued to move despite being constantly overshadowed by a terrible death in this freezing water. Although deep energy really can not be used in this place to warm his body. The mantan continued to step without stopping; according to his instincts.

The glimmer of light in front of him slowly began to enlarge and shine brightly. Slowly also shows its form, which in fact is a large gap in the shape of a square. It looks like a door without leaves, like allowing anyone who has been in the dark for a long time to enter the path of light.

Until it was so clear the door was luminous for Mantingan. There are some stairs that reach the door, which must be climbed without the need for instinct anymore.

After climbing the steps, Mantingan stepped inside the door without a doubt. There was a magnificent sight that shook his soul.

The door led him to a passageway filled with glowing gemstones. The mantingan realized that the glimmer of hope he saw came from the gems.

It was unthinkable how the gems could get the light when their feet stepped back in the middle of the passageway. The young man continued to look on with a feeling of amazement.

The hallway leads him to a large place, which is also filled with dim glowing jewels although the number is not as much in the hallway.

In a spacious place similar to this hall Mantingan then found buildings scattered at several points.

There are three buildings attached to the ceiling of the hall, five buildings on the five corners of the hall, as well as the largest building on one side of the hall facing directly into the luminous hallway.

The mantang walked with a feeling of amazement. The shades of dim colors from the many glowing gems in this place are so reassuring. The atmosphere that was not so quiet with water droplets seemed to bring any soul into peace.

The center of the hall appears to have been flattened and smoothed to form a field. There is also a large carving in the middle of the field that shows the eight corners of the wind.

“Unnamed Woman made all this by herself?” The mantan muttered softly while clucking in admiration.
