“Mantingan ...”
SAYUP-SAYUP the young man heard a female voice calling out to him. And when he darted fast in the direction of the voice, he found nothing. In fact, he did not know where the sound came from.
“MANTING!”
It was then that Mantingan awakened, the voice coming not from any wind direction, but from within his own mind. The voice that was originally thought to come from the Angel of the North River was none other than Rara's.
Mantingan immediately fixed the direction of his way to the previous time, but he still had time to reply to Rara's call, “Rara forgive me, but I do not have much time.”
“Keep moving, Mantingan. I hope I'm not bothering you.” Rara's voice became clearer. “I just want to remind you, remember that your actions were very contrary to your promise to Kenanga? Honestly, I don't like what you did.”
“Let that be, Rara, the safety of the North River Angel is far more important than my promise to Kenanga.” Mantingan said without reducing his pace in the least. “Again, not much I killed.”
“When you are covered in anger, you will realize nothing but your hatred and anger itself. You will not realize that however much your enemies are human.”
“They are not human.” The mantle continues to fly. “Humans don't do what they do. They are demons with human form, I feel killing them is the right decision. By killing a small part of humanity to save most of humanity.”
“I remind you not to regret it later. Aren't you often struck by endless deep regrets and feeling guilty for what you didn't do? Please Mantingan is not like that anymore, because I will be very sad to see you drown hopelessly. Be the Mantingan I have always known, the Mantingan filled with warmth, hope, and spirit.”
“Can you always accompany me until all this is done?” The mantel asked in his mind. Hopeful. It would be a calming fight if Rara was by his side.
“I'm sorry, Mantingan. I cannot accompany you through this long night. As I said earlier, when the wrathful air rules over you, that's when your mind is full of hatred. There is no room for me to occupy your mind.”
“Rara, I promise not to be angry even if thousands of enemies surround me with poisonous weapons and cheating tactics. But how can I do that if there is no one near me?”
“Trust me, O Mantingan, all will be well.”
That's when Rara's voice disappeared. The mantan could feel the emptiness in his mind along with Rara's departure.
Mantingan remembered his earlier remark, “Smile to those who no longer owned.”
Then Mantingan smiled. Reconcile his heart that was inflicted with high-level anger. Back The coat increases his speed.
When he began to enter the area of pesawahan, can be seen the most terrible things far from his view.
The Wind Bell Village was illuminated by orange light, bright and flickering. Black smoke soared into the sky, refracted by the light of fire.
Mantingan felt his heart racing fast. Between anger, disappointment and regret come together.
What sign is he seeing now? Bright orange rays adorn the entire Wind Bell Village. Black smoke is soaring. It was clear to him, even to everyone. The Wind Bell Village was burned. And right, burned instead of burned.
The fire was widespread, even homes that were far apart were hit by the fire, clearly not an accidental fire.
Back chest tightened mantingan by anger. Filled with embers of anger that is now exploding. Never had Mantingan experienced such great anger since Rara's death four years ago.
As his anger grew more and more, hordes of enemy warriors ran over the rice field to where Mantingan stood. Their fate, unfortunately, came at a very inappropriate time.
Instantly Mantingan was crowded with hundreds of skilled warriors quite high. And hundreds of low-skilled warriors were in the back row. So it can be said, currently the Mantingan is surrounded by more than a thousand warriors.
The mantle remained silent. His bowed head was covered in caping. His lips revealed a horrible smile.
This time, the Mantingan will not offer peace. It was clear to him to fight the Sea Beggar's Association. So when the beggar-looking warriors came forward, Mantingan no longer held himself back.
Blood was spilled on top of the brawl. Wet the rice that is ready for harvest. Kiai Kedai's sword was washed back with blood. Not to mention the body of the Mantingan that had been sticky by the liquid. The mantan did not advance backwards, however he continued to advance. Kill as many enemies as you can reach.
Indeed, at that time the mantan had been covered in enormous anger. It is true the words of the wise, that anger will only bring disaster.
It is true that anger can blind anyone from anything. That's what's happening to Mantingan at the moment. He has made a calamity that he will truly regret.
But in his mind, he had a strong reason.
That the Angel of the North River must be saved immediately.
And that the Sea Beggar's Society can't be allowed to do anything like that. Even that the chaos in Taruma must be stopped immediately.
The mantle continued to advance. There was no way out for him other than to kill the enemy in the way. Left, right, top, even bottom covered the body of the enemy who had bad intentions to him.
If he stopped attacking a single breath, death would wipe him out from all directions. Free to fend off, the number of deaths was too much. Those deaths must be killed, if they do not want to turn around to kill him. So he has no other choice.
His teacher once said, “When you have fallen into all the hustle and bustle of the lake, it will be difficult for you to escape.”
The mantan kept on going no matter how many enemies he killed. Although he did not know where the North River Angel was being held. But the young man hoped with solemnity, the North River Angel was detained in the village hall.
The manten began to enter the village. Swordsmen still continue to swarm it from all kinds of directions. Really, the Mantingan cannot move too fast if it continues to be blocked like this. His speed was only limited to people running fast, while the Stormy Stick Swordsman might have already darted fast bringing the Northern River Angel with him.
Thinking about it, the Mantingan began to look for other ways to subvert his enemies faster. The Angel of the North River must be saved, even if it means death!
***
OF COURSE IN such circumstances, Mantingan had gone all the way to think about the safety of Cana and Kina. Inside and outside the Mother Hero's house, there have been installed various kinds of Trapping Magic Throwers.
So now, he moved towards the village hall without having to think about the safety of Cana and Kina. However, the number of enemies was still too much. The mantle can see nothing but the bodies of its enemies.
The mantle began to feel numbness in his arms. He read a bad sign. His inner energy had reached the threshold. The outside energy is not much left. The mantan began to worry, the strength of the enemy was increasing.
For the first time, Mantingan stepped back. The enemy blocking the path in front of him was simply unopposed. Even now, the troops behind him were pressuring him to advance forward. At first he felt he had the upper hand, but now felt he was in the middle of a whirlwind!
The hope of saving the Angel of the North River has been lost unnoticed. Even the hopes for his own safety were running out. The eyes of Mantingan were crap, his hands and feet were numb.
Then his whole body went numb. The mantle almost falls if it does not remember death. Not only his death, but the death of the Northern River Angel would be even more terrifying, as would the unimaginable deaths of Cana and Kina!
By pressing a little bit of his spirit, the Mantingan again drove. Relying on the energy in the meager reserves, it slashed the enemy.
The Mantang released dozens of Blood Wind Palm Steps in all directions. After hundreds of enemies were thrown away without life in the body, the Mantingan again released a dozen Magic Throws of Attackers, killing more than 200 enemies and in one go, in one fell swoop, The mantle had snatched hundreds of enemy heads that were in the vicinity.
At that time, human corpses were piled up. But that way, created a field around Mantingan to move freely. So by relying on the backup energy that is getting thinner, Mantingan jumped into the sky.
For the first time since the siege on the rice field a moment ago, Mantingan can be free from the entanglement of enemy forces. He floated quickly without being overtaken, clanging from one roof to another.
He knew the way to the village hall, so he hurried there.
It did not take long for Mantingan to be able to see the look of the village hall. The surrounding buildings had been burned to the ground, only the buildings were intact with no signs of fire.
The mantan saw the black shadows darting through the window of the building towards the interior of the forest behind it. Mantingan's ability in reading the sign made him manage to ensure that the black shadow was escaping the Northern River Angel.
The young man could feel it, and even now his kiss could catch the scent of the girl!
Without a second thought, Mantingan darted with all his might chasing the black shadow. And presumably, the shadow had realized that someone was chasing him, so his instincts spurred him to move faster.
The shadow then turns east. He surrounds the village. Obviously not wanting to move too much from his army. The mantan does not allow the man to will at will to harm him, so he sends dozens of poisonous poisons. However, the speed of the poisonous poison really could not keep up with the speed of that shadow nor even Mantingan, lagging behind.
The mantan had no choice but to stab the shadow with his own sword, the Kiai Kedai Sword.
Once again the Mantingan retraced on the ground, its speed increasing rapidly. The air felt sharp swiping the skin of his face to scuff, but no matter what, Kiai Kedai Sword still stabbed his opponent.
In the blink of an eye, the shadow slid against the ground forcefully. A moment later, the shadow split into two. One shadow remained pounding on the ground, while the other shadow had soared beyond the top of the tallest tree.
Mantingan stomped the ground tightly before darting upwards. Slide towards that black shadow. Arkian, hold it tight. As if nothing is closer than that. He closed his eyes. Feeling the hair tickle his face. The mantel exhaled a sigh of relief, after which smiled widely. It was as if it didn't matter if it died when it got below.
The mantan floated down lightly with the North River Angel in an embrace. After his feet touched the ground, only then did Mantingan open his eyes. Seen the peaceful face of the North River Angel without a veil. Although unconscious, however beautiful the girl still looks.
The Angel of the North River had been saved, so his spirit swooped down sharply. His eyes returned. His body is numb. Mantingan kneeled with the North River Angel in his carrier
The Sword of Kiai Kedai. Looking ahead, the enemy had come with his anger. As if its leader had been killed by Mantingan. Then Mantingan smiled, maybe this is for the last time.
Suddenly it sounds catching the wind from behind. There has been an attack from behind. The mantle with all its energy turned back. The powerful yelling brought deep sorrow. Waiting for the black shadows to come to stab him. To bring them to die with him.
But what he saw was not a black shadow, but a white shadow. The shadows flew away leaving him. Leaping towards the enemy line.
The mantle turns the body with its outer energy. With a blurry look though, Mantingan could still see what was happening in front of him. A fierce battle. His ears caught the clanking of weapons and the screams of death.
***
MANTAN. His body was covered in sweat. He just had a bad dream. Later, he found himself in his room.
Was the battle in the midst of darkness that night just a nightmare, and the rescue of the Wind Bell Village still not done?
But it seems not so. Mantingan saw a cross on his shoulder to his bare-chested waist.
Bird chirping sounds unpretentious along with the morning sunlight that enters through the window. A gentle breeze moved the curtains, bringing fresh air into the room. The mantel took a deep breath.
He was reluctant to get down from his king. He is still not ready to accept everything that has happened. Not ready to imagine the destruction of the village caused by it. Not ready to accept the fact that he had killed hundreds of enemies that night.
Quiet himself with nothing to do but look at the swaying window curtain.
Not long after that, the door of the room opened. The North River enters. He was pensive, so surprised to realize that Mantingan was conscious. But the young man did not greet her at all, only silently leaning on the head of the mattress.
The Northern River Angel approached him with a feeling of joy. After putting the tray of food she was carrying on the table, the girl hugged Mantingan tightly.
“Brother! I know you'll come to pick me up! I know it!” The Angel of the North River tightened his embrace, his eyes full of haru. “Don't ever leave me again, never!”
Mantingan remained silent, but revealed his warm smile. Let the Angel of the North River embrace him for some time. Only then did he ask, “What happened to you last night?”
