The Musafir

The Musafir
Meeting with Chitra Anggini

“Hihihi. Old bastard, are you going to leave that thing here to show off? Hihihihi!” The grandmother laughed loosely as her hand pointed at a thin golden object that was lying just like that on the side of the road in front of her shop.

The young woman turned around, snorting sharply, before finally moving to pick up the object pointed at by the grandmother.

“Be careful! That young man will definitely find you! HIHIHIHIHI!”

“I'll see the struggle, old man who can only make up stories!” The young woman walked away while waving her hand.

No one in the crowd noticed them. Or rather, those people could not see them.

EVEN THOUGH Kina had bought a fairytale petal whose storyline was very similar to her wandering history, Mantingan asked everyone to keep going around for a while.

Perhaps there was something else Kina wanted. After all, Mantingan quite enjoyed the crowd like this. After going through a bloody battle in the attack seven days ago, the young man was able to feel more of the meaning of friendship and peace.

The mantel felt that way at this moment. That more people want to be friends with him than to be hostile to him. The jokes and laughter that sounded endless hinted that things were fine.

Moreover, he felt peace with the Angel of the North River, Cana, and Kina. When they were all complete, Mantingan felt he had found a new family. A feeling of peace that feels so different.

It is very unfortunate if in the end they will still leave the Mantingan. Three days from now, Mantingan will lose something he can call that family. However, is not that indeed the path of salvation that must be taken by all warriors without the exception of the slightest item?

It is not uncommon if a sense of kinship appears in the martial world, but usually the feeling does not last long enough.

Even in silat college though, there is rarely a sense of kinship. A sense of competition that is too thick makes them forget what a true sense of family is like.

But the White Wind College came into exception. This silat college has a very different set of rules.

Similar to the underground network, every swordsman who was in his shade would be bound by a promise of life-and-death for good, unless they broke off the relationship. Very different from other silat colleges, whose students can leave the college after the training period is completed.

White Wind College does not just teach about silat, but also the false sciences, the order of life between fellow humans, the order of life between the universe, and compassion. Immediately, making the students in it have a sense of kinship that is very close to each other.

Perhaps that is what is a big attraction for small colleges to join White Wind College, although it will change all the rules and order of members in their colleges.

“Ohai, Hero Man!”

Mantingan's contemplation was instantly split apart when he heard that voice. He glanced around and found that the voice came from a woman in the crowd.

The seemingly young lady walked up to him with a beaming smile. Mantingan tried to remember his face, but neither did he recognize the woman.

“Brothers, do you remember Chitra Anggini who once walked you on the road to Agrabinta?”

Mantingan recalled for a while before finally recognizing who the young lady in front of him was. “Ah, Chitra Anggini apparently. I heard that you helped the battle seven days ago. For that, I say a deep thank you.”

“I did not help the battle directly, only to crush the scoundrels who were about to attack innocent refugees with my poison. And I only return your favor, for it is you who have made me train so diligently for the past year, that I have now mastered the science of poison.”

The North River's Angel sounded a few times. When Mantingan glanced at him, it appeared that the girl was looking at him very sharply.

“If I am not wrong, then you are the Angel of the North River, right?” Chitra Anggini said before turning to the North River Angel.

Inevitably, the Angel of the North River also yelled at him, and replied, “You are not wrong, I am the person who is usually called the Angel of the North River.”

“Say many people, your beauty exceeds the beauty of angels. But it's a pity that I can't see it in full now.”

The North River Angel nodded. The veil that covered her face had certainly deterred most of her beauty. “Pardon me, Sister Chitra Anggini, but this veil will not be safe if it is opened in public as it is now.”

“Ah, you absolutely do not need to do that just for myself.” Chitra Anggini flicked her hand while smiling nervously. “But based on people's stories, I can already imagine enough of your very pretty face.”

“Don't be too complimentary, you're prettier than me.” The Angel of the North River also shook his hand.

“Mana. Myself compared to an angel as beautiful as you, does not mean anything at all.”

“Not at all. I think you are the prettiest. Your skin is colorless with a flat yellow, your hair is black, and your face is very sweet.”

“I prefer everything about you. Your skin is like marble, your hair is black, and if only I could see your face that would surely fascinate me.

This time Mantingan cleared his throat to stop their conversation. Although he himself is still very difficult to understand women. If not praised, they will sulk; if praised, they will reject it.

Mantingan who has long been with the North River Angel was less praised than Chitra Anggini who had only met a few moments.

“Sorry if you have to cut, but it seems like the night is so late. We have to return to the inn.” immediately

Chitra Anggini nodded his head while continuing to smile. “Give me a little sorry for wasting your precious time.”

“Not at all.” The Northern River Angel hurriedly replied, even before Mantingan had opened his mouth. “Our talk is very pleasant. I hope tomorrow you can see me again.”

“Oh, of course. I planned to rent a room at the Bunian Malam Inn for a few days before continuing my journey to the island of Borneo. I heard, there is a kingdom that stood recently.”

Mantingan let the North River Angel and Chitra Anggini mince their things for a moment before finally going to the inn.

However, a word Chitra Anggini has managed to leave a little curiosity in his mind. The young woman said that there had been a new kingdom standing on the island of Borneo. What would that kingdom be?

Mantingan intends to find his year tomorrow, if circumstances still allow. In two more nights, the Angel of the North River will leave Javadvipa, surely there will be many things to take care of.

“I've read about Chitra Anggini in your travel book.” The North River Angel opened his voice. “You tell me as if your relationship with Chitra Anggini was just an accident to meet on the street. But it seems, your relationship is deeper than that ..”
