The Musafir

The Musafir
First Offensive

THE SWING of the enemy's steps made the ground tremble. The sound of the earthy battle cry made ordinary people tremble and choose to retreat. But not with the Mantingan and the city army. Their hearts are stirred by spirit. It felt like they could not wait to meet their enemy and solve all the problems. Either they perfect the enemy or the enemy perfects them.

The enemy unclean line sent fiery arrows. It looked like a star was falling over the sky when the arrows were at their highest point. The officer who was on top of the watchtower immediately gave a warning to the city troops below.

"Shield, lift!"

They raised a broad shield. Some of the soldiers protected themselves, others were tasked with sharing shields with the archers.

Rain of fiery arrows hit. Thirteen soldiers on top of the city walls raised their shields. While the Mantingan looks not moving at all when the arrows just pass on his body.

Still in the same way that he did to deal with Chitra Agni, Mantingan moved with such incredible speed that his body seemed to be at rest in place.

The fiery rain of arrows had managed to kill some of the less fortunate city soldiers. The flames of the arrow burned some of the buildings and the shields of the soldiers. Not infrequently there are also soldiers running around with fire devouring his body, immediately assisted by his friend who brought a wet blanket.

“Prepare arrows!”

The archers came out from under the shield and immediately spread out their bows. Ready to fire after command issued.

“SHOT!”

The rumbling of the darting arrow sounded quite obvious in the ears of Mantingan. Arrows swirled to the left and top, with no one targeting his body.

The arrows fused with the darkness of night before the enemy could notice. Rain of arrows flushed the enemy soldiers who were moving towards the city wall. Some had raised their shields or brushed away with their swords, others were too late to notice and died of arrows.

“Arrow!” The officer raised his hand. “Shoot!”

Again with the arrow attack. This time the enemy seems to have predicted the incoming arrows so that not many of them were killed. After that, the arrow attack seemed to be unable to be launched anymore, because the enemy was too close to the city wall.

“Serbu-over!”

“Climb wall! Take ladder! Take stairs!”

“Destroy the city door!”

Mantingan can hear the cries of the enemy troops after they actually get in front of the wall. The crowd of soldiers were carrying long stairs that would be used to climb the wall. Some shot arrows, and others attempted to destroy the city walls with tools such as gong-beaters.

The soldiers behind the wall stood shoulder to shoulder with the city gates to keep them from collapsing. The archers were ready to fire their arrows at the upper city wall.

Mantingan took out his regulator ejection sheet before curating some characters there quietly.

The entire Magic Throw was active simultaneously.

The enemy soldiers who tried to break through the gate crashed back into the back.

Wall climbers suddenly felt his body weight increased five times until finally fell to the ground.

“Remove their stairs!” The Mantingan gave direction to the 13 soldiers on the wall, they understood and immediately carried out what the Mantan had commanded.

The long staircases that stood at the side of the wall were pushed back until they fell on the enemy soldiers below. While it was difficult for them to re-attach the stairs because the Magic Spell Throw would pull them back down.

“Arrow is tilted slightly upwards! Don't attack unless the archers are experts! Attack outside the wall!” The officer returned the order. “Shoot now!”

The arrows shot upwards, before drifting down and plunging into the unprepared bodies of the enemy soldiers. Be the position the attacker turns into the one being attacked.

“Shoot! Shoot it! SHOOT!!”

Unmercifully three orders were given at once in close proximity. The arrows hit the enemy all out. The opponent's shields began to hole and could not protect the user anymore. What an unfortunate situation for the enemy.

“Return all! BACK OFF! Pull the mashed ram!”

On the other hand the officer did not want to lose the opportunity to weaken the enemy even further. "Remain attack!"

A tool shaped like a gong bat that turned out to be named the impact batter was pulled back.

Dozens of enemy soldiers plus dozens of warriors also contributed energy to pull the bulldozer away from the city wall.

Along with that the enemy soldiers also withdrew, while their archers were prepared to give their comrades time to retreat.

The fiery arrows from the enemy again rained down on the soldiers behind the walls. The archers were forced to stop the attack and hide behind the shield if they did not want to be struck by a fiery arrow.

Sure enough it gave the enemy soldiers precious time to run backwards, so that at that time none of them were within reach of the city army archers.

The short battle died down.

Mantingan let out a long sigh after looking at the bodies of the enemies piled up outside the wall, which was even more painful were the bodies of the comrades lying behind the wall.

Unlike the Mantingan, the officer let out a sigh of relief. For him, the casualties on the side of the city troops were far less than the casualties in the past war. Thanks to the existence of his Mantang and Magic Spear, the number of casualties on the comrade's side could be cut.

After the enemy is confirmed to retreat back to his camp, the Mantingans and officers meet below.

With a little worry the officer said, “They can't possibly only attack once.”

The mantle agreed. “And it seems like they have known our superiority.”

The defeat of the enemy army was due to their ignorance of the existence of the mounted Magic Throw. They were completely unfathomable and unprepared to deal with it. But on the next attack, it was certain that they included the Magic Throw into his combat calculations.

“We must remain alert in the face of various possible enemy attacks. What I was most afraid of was the arrow attack without using fire. If we are less vigilant, then the soldiers who are resting can be affected.”

The mantan nodded before looking around, as the soldiers ran around carrying buckets of water to put out the fire. Five soldiers stood on top of the tower to watch the enemy's movements.

“If they do not attack within three days, then we must attack them.”

The coats this time did not agree with the officer. “Wouldn't that even increase the number of casualties on our side, Officer? And if we fail, it is precisely the citizens affected.”

“Yes, I know you don't like killing, Mantingan. But listen to me, in the space of three to five days, they can prepare or even bring new strength. If that happens, then we will face greater distress.”
