Seeing Kenanga's smile, Jaya was not calm. Quickly he put horses and silat attitude, although never learned silat goods for a moment. Prepare to attack if Kenanga attacks. But if viewed from anywhere, this girl is too soft, not the slightest look has the power to hurt Jaya. Kenanga's hands were too delicate, looking as fragile as paper.
"Go or I'll break your neck!" Jaya snapped without caring about those things.
"You kicked me out?" Kenanga forehead shriveling. "Aren't you the one who came here?"
"I don't care. Getaway!"
"Can I talk to you, just for a second." Kenanga raised her hand, trying to calm Jayamantingan who was already ignited by her anger.
However, Kenanga's efforts failed. Jaya was overwhelmed by a burning rage. I don't know what made him angry like this. Jaya slammed, advancing with a direct fist towards Kenanga's head. It doesn't matter if it's a white crocodile demon or even an ordinary woman. If Kenanga is a white crocodile demon, then Jaya will not regret it. But when Jaya's fist almost hit Kenanga's face, her pace stopped instantly. Not only that, Jay could not move. Can't move his legs, hands, and even his body an inch!
Kenanga shook her head. "Jaya, don't let anger take hold of you. You are in a stressful situation. Oscillated. But don't get angry easily or it will harm yourself."
It does not take long thought for Jaya to know that Kenanga is the one who stopped the pace of her fist, even stopping all her body movements. But how can Kenanga do it? Wasn't she just a beautiful, gentle, fragrant, fragile girl?
There was no sign that he was a warrior, a witch, or anything like that in Kenanga. Is it true that he is a sweet smelling white crocodile demon?!
"Your eyes contain many poignant stories from the past. You are a figure of authority, assertiveness, and do not want to be pitied, but with oppressed self-esteem." Kenanga smiled. "Kangmas Jaya, I don't pity you. Instead, it is you who seem to have to pity me."
Dahi Jaya wrinkled. Pitying Kenaga? The girl has a look like a mahadevi, clothes made from good, has great strength. What is it to be pitied for?
Kenanga smiled faintly, as if knowing the way Mantingan thought, she approached. Real close. The distance between the faces of Jaya and Kenanga is only two feet left. From such a close distance, Jaya could see Kenanga's sad eyes. His breath. Smells.
"Will you sit down and hear my story?"
The mantel asked. This is ... Who exactly? Why does her beauty seem so life threatening?
Jaya took a deep breath and showed a sign of approval. After all, he had no other choice.
His body can be moved back freely. Kenanga invites Jaya to follow her. For now, Jay doesn't ask much. He does not want to make Kenanga more sad and he will get the bad effects. Crocodile demons are very difficult to guess the war.
Arriving at the foot of the hill, Jaya saw a large tree that was bent up and down to resemble a semicircular frame. Kenanga walked in that direction, Jaya followed her.
Jaya unhesitatingly walked to the curved tree that resembles the mouth of the cave. But after passing through the tree, Jaya felt a change in the air and air around. Cooler. More windy. At once Jaya was surprised because the environment around her was much different from the environment she had previously passed.
If the leaves on the tree are green, then the leaves here are red and continue to fall when a small wind sweeps it from the stalk of dry trees. The sky is orange like twilight. The sound of aridity accompanied the leaves that flew like a horde of orange butterflies.
"Don't be surprised, Kangmas. It is a different world than your world. I will explain later. Now please keep walking."
They continue the journey. Jaya was taken to a house, presumably two-story, in front of which there is an archway with carvings similar to Pallawa characters. In the courtyard of the house there is a garden, the plants in it become the only green leafy plants. Kenanga invites Jaya into a house that may be her own home.
There are four other rooms connected to the central room. Kenanga invites Jaya to one of those rooms, which turns out to be a space for painting.
A short and wide table was located in the middle of the room, there were several cups and a clay teapot there. On each side of the wall of the room, there are beautiful paintings.
"Hide the Kangmas sit." Kenanga smiled as she spoke politely again.
Jaya sat cross-legged on one side of the table, while Kenanga opened the window lid before she sat across from Jaya.
"This is a world apart from yours, Kangmas. Like I said earlier. This world is a little different. Space and time are separate from your world, and here it's almost never night. Time here goes faster than time in your world. One day here is one eye-opener there. Kangmas understand?"
Jaya nodded slowly at the sign of understanding. Even though all this is unacceptable. But if you see the power of Kenanga, then something like this should have been predictable.
"For some reason, I'm locked up here. I can barely get anywhere, the world is cramped. I'm the only human here. There are no friends but my faithful shadow. If I go to your world, then I can't go beyond the hill you came to." Kenanga fell silent while taking a long breath.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Jaya pretended to put on a sad look and let out a long sigh. "Didn't anyone come to help you?"
"That's my purpose for coming to you on that hill, Kangmas. I saw something extraordinary inside you, I'm sure you can help me out of this cage."
Manten remained silent for a while, before saying a little fear, "I will help you as much as I can. But if I may ask, who locked you up and broke this curse?"
Come to think of it, Jaya has no more goals now. Jaya is tired of being a traveler and wants to get a job that produces. He is adventurous, but if it makes his life ruined and poor, Jaya chooses to stop. Helping Kenanga does not hurt if it gets rewarded. Especially if this Kenanga is really a demon, it might just be kind to give the magic to the Mantingan! Oh, look who's gonna be the ruler!
"Sorry, Kangmas Jaya. I can't answer that."
Jay thought for a moment. He doesn't want to mess around if he doesn't need to be with the big powers that lock up Kenanga. But to the responsibility, Kenanga is so scary from other crocodile demons. Even death is okay, Jaya has no other purpose, there is no point in living.
"That's no big deal, Kenanga. Now tell me, how can I help you?"
Kenanga gave a warm smile. "There is one thing that can free a person from this curse."
Jaya looked at Kenanga deeply as she saw the doubt from the girl.
"But, Kangmas. This thing is only unheard of in the realm of fairy tales. Maybe it never existed in the universe of Dwipantara. This thing is called Kembangmas. A flower. It's gold and it smells good."
Jay remembered for a moment. He never got a story about this Kembangmas, even if only a little. This flower is said to bring goddess kahyangan and even enslave the devil, Jaya never believed in it, especially the flower was never found.
