BIDADAIRI THE North RIVER. “I feel it would be better if my treatment room was combined with mine. So when I feel tired, the bed is right next to me. And if I want to go back to concocting, then I can directly get up from the mattress.”
The mantle nodded its head. “Yes, that's very good. But even better if Sisters sleep soundly without having to smell the drugs. I know it's very stinging. Placing the room as a workspace also brings a bad image. Moreover, the rooms and workspaces have quite contradictory properties. Don't be sisters together, let alone unite.”
The Northern River Angel fell silent for a long while before finally nodding his head. In retrospect by him, the word Mantingan is much true. It is not good to combine the workspace with the bedroom, it will only bring a bad mood of mind.
“There are many rooms here,” says Mantingan later. “Even if Sisters want four rooms for treatment room, it is absolutely not a problem.”
“Brothers, you're overreacting. Suffice me to take two rooms only.”
The mantel smiled and then nodded. “One more time I say welcome, Sister. In the end, there is a reason for us to stay together.”
“Brothers remember, that all this is solely for the treatment of Brothers only.” The Northern River Angel was quite astonished by the young man. Didn't he think Mantingan would say that. The words of the Mantingan earlier were as if hinting that he was intending to mess with her. “That's why. And I have no other intention than to just treat Brother.”
Mantingan looked at the North River Angel. The girl looked at him so sharply. A moment later, Mantingan laughed off. “Saudari, I have no bad intentions for you. Not at all. I only remembered Kana and Kina. Didn't they ask you to stay here? Look at their wishes really materialized this time.”
The Northern River Angel turned her red face away from Mantingan's sight. Do not let the young man catch his bad thoughts. However, Mantingan had clearly known the girl's mind, as clearly as there could be nothing clearer than that. Only, he did not want to make the girl even more embarrassed.
“Alright, Sisters, what are we going to do now?”
Without any further silence, the Angel of the North River immediately replied to him, “I will arrange my belongings in this room first before starting treatment. Come tonight.”
“Do you need help?”
“Kurasa no. Let me work alone this time. Brother, you've worked too much for me.”
“Good.” The mantle nodded slowly before turning around. “See you later tonight.”
***
AT NIGHT, Mantingan came to the room of the North River Angel which is now neatly arranged. The tables were filled with reed roofs filled with liquid or medicinal powder. The shelves were filled with bowls filled with herbs. And everything else seemed to fill the void.
The North River Angel asked Mantingan to sit cross-legged on a mat in the middle of the room. The girl was carrying a medicinal hitchhiker and several reed tubes filled with herbs.
“I will mix puyer,” he said with a smile. “Maybe this will take a while. If you don't want to wait, then you can come out now.”
The young man shook his head. “No. By staying here, I can gain new knowledge. And I hope Sister doesn't mind devoting a little of her knowledge to me.”
Mantingan did as the girl ordered. Sit cross-legged, chin-rested; pay close attention. It was as if every move the Northern River Angel made was of paramount importance.
“First of all, this hitchhike must be cleaned of dirt that can contaminate the herb. Make sure that the light in the room is bright enough, so you can make sure that this passerby is really clean. After it is ensured clean, then start to the next stage.” The Angel of the North River opened one of the medicinal roofs. “The powder in all these roofs I have calculated the weights. There are scales on the table if you want to try to make your own potions later.”
The girl put a little orange powder into the hitch. Mantingan frowned and asked, “Didn't Sister have taken into account the weight of the medicine in the roof? Why not just put everything in?”
Still with his smile, Bidadari Sungai Utara explained, “In this hitchhiker there are many pores, which although small but many in number. My only goal is to pour a little powder is to close those pores.”
The next thing to be heard was the sound of the clang of marble touching each other. The girl turned her pounding lever, making the medicinal powder inside the hitchhiker spread over its surface.
“If it is like this, we can mix it with other medicinal powder.” The North River Angel poured the contents of the powder inside another roof. “But keep in mind, not all powders can be directly put together. Some puyer demanded gradual unification. Like this puyer, the unification of powder needs to be done gradually and carefully.”
“Why is that so?” The man asked seriously.
“In each of these powders, there are their respective elements. These elements will change when put together. There are some elements that should not be combined directly, or it will result in changes that we do not want.”
The mantan nodded his head in understanding. “Please continue.”
The Angel of the North River turned back its mash lever. After some time, he poured the medicinal powder again into the hitchhiker. Rotating the lever again and again. The sound of the clang of rocks filled Mantingan's ears, unconsciously making a feeling of comfort.
After all the powder inside the roof had been put in, the Northern River Angel took out a fresh piece of leaves from inside the storage box. Puyer in the hitchhiker is taken using a very thin piece of bamboo wood, to be placed on top of the leaves.
“Eat with the foliage,” said Angel of the North River.
“What will it look like?” Mantingan asked while looking at the leaves and puyer in the hands of the North River Angel.
“As to what it is, I have never tasted. Because this puyer is new. But if I see from the ingredients that were inserted, then the puyer will feel sweet tidy.”
The mantan takes the leaves that underlie the puyer's medicine. Without hesitation, he devoured all the puyer along with the leaves. A moment later, Mantingan's face was filled with wrinkles. He grinned and hissed slowly.
The Northern River Angel only chuckled lightly in response. The mantan feels lied to. Not accept, he asked a question, “Saudari does not mean to deceive me, does not?”
“I must admit that this time I intended to deceive you. The taste is not sweet, but bitter. I just want you to eat that puyer with pleasure. Because everything that is done with pleasure, will make us happy too. Though you may not realize it.”
