The Musafir

The Musafir
Tea Drink; Go to the Market

Lunch is over. It's time to drink tea. Because the air is too cold, the tea is no longer hot, not warm, then Mantingan use his internal energy to re-warm his tea. The same thing is done by the North River.

“Saudari Sungai can you name any science learned?” Mantingan said after sipping a little of his tea.

The North River Angel nodded once and explained that the average science he studied was white flow science. He can utilize water into his silat science, so that's what he is called the North River Angel.

The Angel of the North River also added that his teacher did not train himself in the land of Champa. He trained in the mountainous region, which was close to the Jin Empire, slightly to the north. So that's what he got the nickname “utara” on his name.

Mantingan nodded slowly even though he had just learned there was another power near Champa, the Jin Empire. It means that the Angel of the North River has traveled to lands that Mantingan has never been to, even the girl arrived in the land of Taruma. How little experience can be said.

Finished explaining, the Angel of the North River glimmers his eyes. Mantingan worriedly asked, but the Northern River Angel shook her head and smiled. “I only remember my lover in Champa. Hopefully he does not know the news about my disappearance, or he will bring hundreds of his men to go to Javadvipa.”

“That is a great proof of his affection for you, Sisters River.” Mantingan responded with a smile. However, if only the lover of the North River Angel did that, Javadvipa would get into new trouble. Hopefully, what is called Bidadari Sungai Utara.

Do not let her lover hear this news, at least until the east monsoon winds come. With the coming of the east monsoon, he will not be able to sail to Javadvipa.

Back Mantingan sipped and sipped his warm tea. Looking at the two mountains in front of him. Then he said, “From the North River, I have to buy some white flow science books for you. If you want to know, I studied black magic.”

The Mantingan's words managed to shock the Northern River Angel. He did not expect at all a kind-hearted gentleman like the Mantingan to study black magic. His vigilance rose to the highest level. Mantingan may try to trap himself.

“Shocked, yes? You're just like everyone else, surprised to find out I'm black.” The mantel laughed softly. “But take it easy, Sister River. I don't look evil. At least so, isn't it?”

The Northern River Angel realized the situation was not on his side if only Mantingan was really a black flow swordsman, then he revealed a smile, whose intention was to smile cheerfully but be a nervous smile.

“Not necessarily so, River Sister. I did study black magic, but not for the ugly purpose.”

“But, for what?”

Mantingan smiled then spoke the truth until the North River Angel nodded his head in understanding. He also saw the clarity in the eyes of Mantingan, it would be the most shocking thing in the world if the young man did evil.

“I believe you, Mantingan.”

The mantle is satisfied. “What more could Sister need so that I could buy them all?”

The Angel of the North River unhesitatingly replied, “Nothing, Mantingan. Everything you give is more than enough.”

“No need to be shy like that, Sister, my money is a lot and I feel bad if enjoy it myself.”

“I think, Sister, I'll find it easy again. So don't be shy. Whatever you need, just mention it. As much as possible I will fulfill it.”

Why would Mantingan dare to say that? As if the Northern River Angel was everything? Simply put, Mantingan had promised the girl even to herself, that she would guard the Northern River Angel. Then the promise is like a debt that must be paid in full. Mantingan attitude is not excessive.

“Then so, Mantingan ...” Hesitating the Angel of the North River said, “it looks like I need a sword, a cheap sword only.”

The mantingan was silent for a moment before shaking his head a few times. “If it's a gun affair, Sister should come with me to determine for herself which one is suitable.”

“However, isn't that enough of a danger?” The North River Angel thought that the market was a crowded place. The sea of people passing by may not be ordinary society.

Mantingan understood the concerns of the Northern River Angel, but he said the opposite. “They would not have expected that you would go to the market. You're a swordsman, you shouldn't have to buy anything at the market. At least the people who hunt you there are some in the market, but usually they are lazy people who do not dare to go into the forest looking for you. I think people like that should be easy to deal with.”

The Northern River Angel took the time to think before finally nodding in agreement. “Please protection, Mantingan.”

After the entire dish was paid for all, Mantingan and the North River Angel left the village. However, they will come back again after finishing shopping, staying a few days and renting a room. One of the villagers gave directions to a market near the village, although the nearest one was a half-day walk away.

But indeed the villagers there have such a good heart. Not helping the immigrants. They loaned two horses to Mantingan. He said, no need to pay.

Mantingan gave his deepest thanks before spurring his horse away, the Northern River Angel beside him, with a robe fluttering in the cold wind.

A trip that should take half a day can be cut down to less than a quarter of a day.

The market in front of Mantingan actually cannot be called a big market, nor can it be said to be a small market. It may be more appropriate to be called a medium market, although the actual form can not be called so.

In the market many people pass by. Someone buys, someone sells. Hustle and bustle of buyers bidding on prices, and sellers bidding on goods; unpretentious as if they will not stop. The birds will feel that their chirping has been defeated by the sea of man.

On the front of the market, there is a horse care facility. As a result of the crowd, the horse could not enter. If forced into it will certainly be cursed. So stand some horse care centers that win each other prospective customers. Two pieces of silver for two horses was the choice spot of the Mantingan.

After leaving the horse and ensuring the feasibility of a daycare, Mantingan invited Bidadari Sungai Utara into the market. The hand of the Northern River Angel shook with worry, he could not help but grab Mantingan's hand, holding it tightly.

“Please do not release.”
