The Musafir

The Musafir
Why Are You Both Not Married?

MANTINGAN BARU realized that he had missed a dinner with the Angel of the North River, Cana, and Kina. Hopefully he's not too late for so long. I hope he hasn't left them for so long. The mantan again closed the Book of Lotus and put it in the palm shell. He rushed out of the room and down the stairs.

The stairs he was passing through were indeed directly connected to the middle room on the lower floor. Then it should be, Mantingan could directly join them.

He saw the North River Angel with Cana and Kina sharing food on the table of the main room. The mantle smiled widely and walked over to them. But he found a little strange, why does the middle room become brighter than the usual nights?

“Good morning, Brother.”

“Ah, Brother Maman has woken up from his sleep, let's have breakfast with us.”

They showed a wide smile, more visible mocking Mantingan who woke up too late.

Little Angel of the North River is still busy arranging food on the table when saying, “I was a little late preparing breakfast this morning, be the children breakfast too late.”

His one sentence was clearly insinuating the Mantingan. So sharp. The mantan immediately understood his sitting.

“Im sorry.” Mantingan said with his awkward smile. “You should have forgiven me. Especially after you guys didn't tell me last night. I read the book too long until I forget time.”

“Kukira, you're too sleepy to get up late. It turned out to be different from far from my estimate.” The North River Angel pulled a bench under the table. “Sit, Brother.”

Mantingan occupied the bench prepared by Bidadari Sungai Utara. Smiling warmly. Greeting Kana and Kina.

“Not usually Brother Man wakes up too late. Usually, it is you who first opens the door.”

“This time I didn't sleep, Kana,” replied.

“Yes, I know. I read the book, right? What book is it to the extent that you feel at home reading it?”

“Lotus Book.” Back The mantel retaliates briefly.

Kana raised her eyebrows. “Lotus Book? What book is it?”

“The Book of Lotus is a book of life lessons, Kana.” Bidadari Sungai Utara visited Kana in addition to his activities.

“Is it a holy book?”

“Many people say it.” The North River Angel sat in his chair after finishing composing the food. “Hold your question, Kana. We should have breakfast, before stomach pains.”

The mantelan takes enough food. A few slices of potatoes and boiled vegetables, as well as a few slices of dried fish jerky. So simple, but delicious if enjoyed together. Moreover, all of this is the cuisine of the North River Angel, it is amazing.

Mantingan bribed the food while thinking of a plan for the future. After reading the first part of the Lotus Book, the Mantingan felt no need to scare away death. He should be afraid that his death would leave a bad name. And what is more to be feared is not to act according to His will even to the death of his death.

The mantingan must also prepare the preparation of opening a shop. He had thought about what to name the store, and had also thought about what items would be sold. But about marketing, Mantingan still hasn't thought about it. He felt he had to introduce the shop to the entire village, even introducing it to neighboring villages. But how can it be done?

Is it by going to offer his merchandise to the streets? Or by spreading the leaflets? Mantingan does not know which is better, so he must think in order to determine which option is best.

But even to finish breakfast though, Mantingan still did not get it. And his thinking was to be interrupted because the North River Angel was intending to return to the Hero Drug Store.

“I have to go back to the Mother Wira Store immediately,” she said as she showed her warm smile towards Kana and Kina.

The two children looked not excited at all. He stared at the empty plate as well. Puckering lips.

Then Kina said, spilling everything that was harbored to the North River Angel, “Kakak stay here. Bring all the stuff here. Let Sis play with Kina all night after Sister gets home from work. It's Kina's request, if Big Brother complies then Kina won't ask much more.”

The Northern River Angel let out a long sigh before glancing at Mantingan with a glance. As if asking for an opinion. And hinted that Mantingan's opinion would influence his decision.

Mantingan cleared his throat several times, before replying, “Kina must have known that Brother and Sister Sasmita should not have stayed one roof. We are not siblings, our relationship is just a friend.”

Now it's Kana's turn to reply, “I also know that these two of you are not husband and wife. Can't stay on the same roof.”

“But if you know it, why is your face still hard like that?”

Kana replied with a question that managed to make Mantingan and Angel of the North River surprised not a trick, “Why don't you two just get married?”

The mantle almost chokes if it does not catch its breath immediately. Meanwhile, the Northern River Angel was so astonished, it could only silently sculpt. Mantingan again explained to Kana, “Marriage is not an easy thing, Kana ...”

“Can't Big Brother turn a heavy problem into an easy problem? I saw for myself how Big Brother made this house very beautiful, even though it was previously very creepy.”

North River Angel helped Mantingan with his desperate answer, “And no one wants to marry for a trivial matter, Cana. Do we have to get married just so we can stay one-stop?”

“It's more than that, Brother Sasmita.” Kina. “Sister is a match with Kak Maman, is Brother unconscious? As Kak Maman worked in the garden and Kak Sasmita cooked food for us, Kina felt like she was returning home. Kina is not sad anymore, because the two of you have replaced my parents. But Kina again thought, actually, these two brothers are not my parents. Although they are harmonious, complementary, and able to make the atmosphere peaceful, but still you are not Kina's parents.”

Kina's eyes were filled with tears. As if it could spill at any time. But he can hold it. Kana is also tough. Too bad, they both grew up too soon. Things that make them grow unnaturally. They understand the business that should not be their business.

“You shouldn't talk about this. Between Brother and Brother Sasmita there is no relationship beyond the limits of friendship. I hope you understand this.” The man puts on a warm smile. “Home door is always open for Sasmita, so she can come whenever she wants.”
